After being paranoid about having hsv2 after a stupid, unprotected one night stand with a man of an unknown status, I tested negative at 4 months and was treated with antibiotics for a bacterial infection.
A few weeks after being on the antibiotics, I got a really foul taste in my mouth and noticed my tongue is coated in white that won't scrape off, with red spots (not sores). There's no pain, just like a weird feeling on my tongue.

He has never had any symptoms of genital herpes - just white sore spots on the front edge of his tongue that last several days accompanied by tingling and feeling like tiny cuts. He was getting over a recent outbreak (no active lesions - just minor discomfort) when we saw each other 13 days ago - and the discomfort left about four days into our time together. On the 13th day (yesterday) I got cold sores on my chin and my tongue tingles (minor discomfort).
It doesn't come & go..it just keeping developing. I do smoke & quit last week. I also have a white coating on the back of my tongue & canker sores on the tip. I haven't been to the dentist because I'm so scared.
And at Wednesday night I had come down with a fever that lasted till Friday morning but on Friday morning I realised I had more of these spots on my tongue (3) and on my lip. Upon further inspection I noticed a swelling or lump type thing growing just before my tonsils making it hard for me to swallow. It seemed to have gone down abit but should I seek help from

About 2 weeks ago my husband noticed some spots on the side and top of his tongue. They seemed to have gone away then the one on top came back just a few days later pretty much in the same spot. Yesterday another one poped up on the border of his tongue. It seemed to get big fast. It looks like a bare spot with a white border but it not as red as the top spot. Could this be geographical tongue or something more serious like tongue cancer? He did visit the dentist and they feel it's GT.
A week later, I woke up with a sore throat, and a painful white spot on the very tip of my tongue. There are also red spots all over my tongue, and its incredibly sensitive. Most of the taste buds along the front are swollen, and large. So far on day 3, there is only two spots, one of which was from over 4 days ago, and has already healed. The spot on the tip of my tongue has been there for two days, and is still quite painful. Its bright white, not yellowish like the pictures Ive seen online.
after that i have noticed my these white spots slimy looking spots at the back of my throat and cheeks my gums have also been sore and bleeding. my tongue is also very white and also had big red spots on my tongue but that was last years almost a year before this guy. It only lasted for like a few days and went away. i went to a doctor that said it was nothing serious and gave me meds almost like a sweet to suck on that dissolve in my mouth.
I am now scraping the hell out of my mouth and tongue... creating big sores. About 1 month after the test I develop white streaks along the border of my tongue that get really bad and thick and then go away and then come back off and on for about a month. Then my cheeks turn whiteish and feel rough. I haven't noticed anything on my tongue really for a couple of months now but the cheek thing is still there.
THe problem is ALWAYS way worse in the morning.

Ive also had blood work done which came back normal so I am not immunocomprimised. I know I already have HSV 1 bc I have had cold sores. The sores on my tongue began when I had a cold sore and have never left. I have been under a long period of stress and I am thinking thats why I had such an extensive outbreak. My question is, since I had this will I continue to have these outbreaks on my tongue for the rest of my life?
Our decision. Last week he develops these sore spots inside his mouth. One is under his tongue, one is on the very tip of his tongue, and one on the roof. They are all very small in diameter. The one under his tongue has a small white area with red around, others are just red. These sores are accompanied with him feeling sick and swollen lymph nodes. All classic of hsv. It's painful for him to eat, even swallow.

These then developed in to small ulcers that are red round edge and then white spots in middle, look more like flat white spots than blisters.

On Easter Sunday i felt a tingling sensation and it ended up being a large yuck thing on the inside of my lower lip wich hurt (that part went away after maybe 3 days or so) and then i had all these tiny white spots on my cheeks and tongue with it and they didnt hurt except my the front of my tongue felt sore a lot. Well today April 3rd they seem to have cleared up mostly and then i ate a chocolate rabit and more of them appeared??? Is this mouth herpes, canker sores, allergic reaction?
),use of antibiotics or steroids that were inhaled for sinus or asthma issues,post nasal drip and sinusitis,poor oral hygiene,dehydration and lichen planus(painful white, erosive sores on the gums, tongue and throughout the mouth.)
Diagnosis can only be confirmed after clinical examination.So pls consult an ENT specialist for that.

I have posted many times on the herpes forum believe what I had going on was herpes though I never really asked about thrush. I have these red "sores/spots" on my tongue that gets this white gunk looking stuff on it/around it and goes away in a day but leaves the red spots. I am going to see the Dr again this Friday so I wanted to ask before hand on here to see if someone knew the answers I have. So, my questions are:

Well, I went to see an eye Dr. again because one of my eyes became extremely red and irritaed and I thought whatever it was the first time had come back. I was told there were no signs of herpes BUT that I had an infection on my eye lids...that apparently is normal. He said it causes crusting to occur which can get into the eyes and irritate them. So, I guess that is a good thing there for that part. I still have no clue what is going on with the mouth issue though.
Then about 2 days ago, I noticed a white ring forming with a red patch at the tip of my tongue. It wasnt painful, not sore or anything, just sits there. The ring got bigger today, so I was anxious and went to see 3 GP. 2 of them were saying oral thrush but the other wasnt sure and ordered me STI check. So, before I do the check, just to calm me down, any of you guys experience similar things? Could it be STD?
