You do not have geographic tongue based on those pictures. Your tongue actually looks fairly normal. Everyone's tongue takes quite a bit of abuse being in the mouth exposed to nearly everything, including the teeth. As long as those spots aren't painful, there really is nothing to do about it.
I've been seeing small sores on my tongue. Initially 3 weeks before, i had it on the left side of the tongue almost near the tip of the tongue. After two three days i had it on the right side exactly as the same spot of the first one, but on the right. After that i had a small sore on the inner part of the tongue, towards the throat almost at the center.

Intestinal and/or oral Candidiasis tends to run along the sides of the tongue more than it does that of any widespread area, to my understanding. Therefore, the second, and probably more likely scenario might involve some type of a bacterial infection. Other online literature points to such possibilites as mono or Sjogren's Syndrome, give your symptoms. Riboflavin and Biotin deficiencies have also been linked with oral discoloration/disease.
I've had mouth sores for a long time that have become particularly bothersome since I started treatment (now at 37/72). My symptoms include the white patches on the tongue and sores on my cheeks and gums. In addition, once in awhile I get standard cold/canker sores on my lips. I eventually made my way to an oral surgeon who biopsied my tongue (ouch!). I was negative for dysplasia, but the biopsy was inderminate for the root cause and didn't help the pain go away.
However, he stopped the septra because he developed a large tongue blister which bled and then popped. Since then his tongue has been red, sore, and very sensitive to food and drink. He stopped the septra because he thinks that he is allergic to it. He also has a sort of pimple on one eyelid. His head cold, sinusitus, is getting better; his eyes have stopped watering and they are no longer swollen, but his tongue is still very red, with large patches, and it is very painful.

Sometimes I can feel it and sometimes not. After I eat my tongue is sore and the tip will twitch on both sides. GP says last week that my tongue is healthy and if I had ALS the 5Th nerve would not have regenerated itself. Is that true? He says that after 28 months I would have a lot more signs. I can feel it twitching now and I am at my wits end. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this twitching.

I have problems with my tongue. I would have a sore tongue in the morning or it would get ulcers on it or it felt burned. I went to many, many doctors. Found out that the ulcers are caused from sinus infections because I have asthma, allergies, and I smoke and this I found out on my own by keeping track of my health since the doctors had no answers.

I'll keep you guys updated.
Hi I have a 22 month old daughter, who consistently gets white spots (no more than one or two at a time) on the tip or sides of her tongue. She also recently developed a mouth ulcer between her lower lip and front teeth. Her teeth are brushed twice a day. Should I be concerned?
