My weight stabilized for a while, but then this year I began on birth control pills in January. And boy, did my symptoms start to skyrocket. I was so bloated, I couldn't eat anything without gas, and my ibs symptoms at my period time were even worse than they had ever been. I went off it for a month, and then went back on it. In the past year, i've tried 3, and am now on the first one that I was using before.
Hello everyone, I have been feeling cramps on my abdomen since 2 or 3 days ago and I am wondering if they could mean that I am pregnant. I read some pregnancy symptoms on twoweekwait.com and I noticed that many of the women experienced cramps right before finding out that they are pregnant. What I want to know though, is where exactly these cramps are felt and what do they feel like. I feel them all over my stomach, not only my lower abdomen.
I started using birth control on the first day of my period Each day I take it at 12 o'clock.... or between the times of 11:58 & 12:02. Then all of a sudden I missed my period. Prior to my missing my cycle I had been having stomach cramps, lower back pain, loss of appetite and fatigue. I took 2 home test and both came back normal. What could this mean please help me.
I went on a low dose birth control (Aviane) 5 to 6 months ago. The first few months went very well and my periods were regular. I even felt that my moods were more regulated. I felt better. Then these past two months I've had two periods a month. Towards the middle of my back, about halfway through week two, I'll have a full period and then another one during my placebo week. I called my doctor.
Hey :) I started taking the birth control pills. I took them for 10 days, but I started to feel really dizzy and sick so stopped taken them. My last one that I took was Sunday night and it's now Wednesday. The night after I stopped taking the pill, I started to bleed dark blood. It's not my period because I took my first pill on the day of my period and my period stopped completely about the 5th day, perfectly normal when I'm not on the pill as well.

You need to get in touch with your ob/gyn. It can take your body a few cycles to adjust to being on birth control. Let your ob/gyn know about your symptoms and he or she can either recommend a different pill for you, tell you to continue taking the pill, or offer you another form of birth control. IN the meantime, remember that you are not protected from pregnancy since you have not taken your pill every day, so don't take any chances. USe another form of birth control. Good luck.
My girlfriend had been on birth control for about two years. She always had her period on a saturday. Always. She had to stop taking the pills for a month (her prescription was messed up), but once she got her pills back, she didn't wait for her period to start before starting the pills. So my question is, would it be normal for her period to start on a saturday still? Because the period after she started the pills again started on a saturday and lasted for nine days.
I'm a 20 year old female college student and I began taking birth control for the first time 5 days ago. I was put on Loestrin24Fe. I wanted to go on it, largely because my periods are very heavy and extremely painful if I don't take a large amount of medication the minute I feel cramps coming on. There have been times when I've thrown up all day because of the pain. My breasts also become extremely sore and very swollen.
I am 35 & have been on a few differrent pills for about 12 years and was most satisfied with Alesse and then Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. I switched to Yaz because the doc thought it would help with the extreme fatigue I experienced the week before my period. There was no other need for me to switch other than to combat that problem.
Your birth control could play a part in it and cyst defiantely can. The only way to know for sure is to see a dr. They are the only ones who can fully know what is going on here.
Prior to this injury/lack of activity it seems I had perfect periods. Always exactly on time, by the day and almost time it seemed, no cramps, light and only lasted a few days. Sometime between last August I became to have incredibly horrible periods. Bloating, my legs felt like they would swell up, extreme mood swings/anger/depression, heavy flow, erratic timing, and cramps so bad I would pass out. Finally in November I went to the Gyno and was put on BC.
I didn't really have cramps and my cycle usually started on Tuesday or Wednesday and by Friday it was gone. With Yasmin, I had major cramps, HEAVY bleeding (including passing clots) and today is day 6 and it's still here...just now starting to ease up. Because of this, this past Sunday, I went back to the loestrin. I can find face cream to help my acne...it's not worth cramps, and long periods, not to mention I was a major WITCH (with a B).

I've been on birth control pills for 14 years and I decided to take a break. I've been off of them for about 3 weeks now and right at the beginning I noticed that my heart rate had increased and that I had extreme anxiety, crying fits, and mood swings and one hot flash (HORRIBLE). I called my Dr. and they told me to take Xanax and start exercising again. I hate to take Xanax all the time, but I have been taking 1/2 pill at night to help me sleep.
I've started fish oil supplements because I've heard they can help, but part of me feels like maybe I need to go back on birth control temporarily. I felt so good and my cycles seemed to do so well after I first quit them, so I'm wondering if I go back and take them for a few months, would that help make me more fertile again? I would appreciate any advice or stories you can share. I'm very frustrated and scared and just trying to decide what to do, especially about ttc. Thank you so much!
My question is, What is the best birth control to get myself on? I'm thinking about the Mirenda IUD? I thought about getting my tubes tied but then decided against it...Just in case I want any more babies in the future plus my doctor didn't recommend it for someone my age. I'm 28.
