But his aunt still lives there her husband had chronic lympocytic leukemia and was also Canadian and he thought he had gone out of remission but they wouldn't let him have an MRI. So, he paid cash and they let him have the MRI and he was out of remission so then he got treated. So I don't know how to help here. But you need to see someone soon.
I also have severe heal pain on my left heal. It hurts so bad, it wakes me up in the morning. I thought maybe it was dry skin? Been going on for quite some time. I think my last white blood count was 12.5. I have been having a hard time getting my results back fron my primary care doctor. Also have had severe groin pain. I call CLEAVELAND CLINIC, TO GET TESTED COMPLETRLY, cas i have Corinary heart disease, but now they want all my scans, but hosp. for some reason wont give them to me? Thank u.
that look like rashes but ont he inner skin. Sometimes there are red spots thatemerge outside or on the surface of my skin. Sometimes I also experiencefrequent burping. Maybe like 2-5 times a month I experience it that for 20 minutes I am continuously burping. Also I experience discomfort on the left side of my stomach or belly. Sometimes it's so severe that I cant move well and can hardly walk. I have irregular menstruation. Sometimes I menstruate twice a month.
says only about 25% with it don't experience itching (I tend to itch with even very minor rashes/insect bites/etc., and my previous yeast skin infections produced horrible itching). Thanks so much for the information - it has eased my mind somewhat. I'm going to give it a few days, just taking the antihistamine and using Aveeno or Eucerin lotions, as well as Aveeno body wash. If it gets worse or doesn't improve at all, I'll call the doctor by the middle of the week.
But then out of nowhere i felt an itch, i started to scratch it then damn it grew again but now they were on my arms. My skin started to form blood dots on my skin and rashes too. I put alot of alcohol then the itch stopped for a while. I bought anti histamine that night and took one. The itch never came back. But the morning I wake up, i got big bruises all over my thighs.
Mental jukebox, that's so funny!! As for skin cancer it's always been on my mind time to time since I was a teenager. I have had quite a few bad burns (even got 2nd degree with sun sickness a few years ago in China) and given my history (father w/ skin cancer, his parents with multiple benign moles removed, having like 200 moles myself as well as having a benign one removed as a child) I know it's a very high likelihood that I'll get it.
I have extremely sensetive skin myself and had to resort to baby lotion and shampoos to keep me from overdrying my skin. Many lotions make the skin oily rather than truly moisturize. Cetaphil is a good lotion, but I use Aveeno baby lotion. It seems to do the trick. What soaps do you use? Dial AB or Dove, ?? ?
- Dilated Pupils on a regular basis (i don't take any drugs) - Small brown mark/rashes on my chest aprox 5 grouped closed together, sometimes ichy and sometimes become darker - Had two small spots on my leg the spots were under the skin, they went down over a couple of days and it was like blood came out of them when they went down. Anybodys comments would be appreciated..
Dear Tharmas, Thank you for posting the query and the picture. You have provided good description about your health condition. I appreciate it. The main difference between petechia & purpura, is the size of the lesion. Petechia are less than 3 mm & purpura are 3-10mm in size .They both don't blanch and appear as purple or red colored lesion. These lesions could be just considered as a benign lesion which may come and go because of pressure in the body.
I've no other problem becoz of the rashes. Any idea if this is just kind of dry skin or due to pregnancy n delivery or really the Autoimmune Disorder? This discussion is related to red spots on legs and thighs.
I then did some investigating and found some scary possible causes, like leukemia. 2 days ago I then noticed a rather large bruise on my outer thigh that had a knot in it. I then began to completely freak out. Starting yesterday the rash began going away and is clearing up. Should I demand a blood test? Does a Petechial rash go away on its own when you have leukemia? Or was it just a nasty virus? And also, when you get a Petechial rash with a virus, is it also caused by bleeding under the skin?
Has anyone ever had a elisa test? My friend has these small reddish rashes(they do not itch) all over his body. Could this blood test help him. He is 93 yrs, of age, Coolest man. Help me help him. Thanks!!!
Radiation therapy could be the most likely cause of the spike in eosinophils for you. Skin rash is a listed adverse effect of tamoxifen, and so is leg swelling. These symptoms are pretty general and could be due to many other things also, be sure your physician is aware of them and can assess their cause as it relates to your individual situation.
hi i have developed a rash that looks like little blood spots under my skin. i feel well but am getting alot of headaches. these things do not dissapear under pressure.they are worse when im hot or when my blood pressure is up. any ideas?
I have read that leukemia patients sometimes break out in a rash, althought I don't know if it itches as well. Rashes can mean many different things. Have you recently come in contact with anything, like a new detergent, food (shellfish), plant, etc.? I have asthma and just learned that it's not unusual for asthmatics to have sensitive skin. Every couple of years, I seem to break out in an extremely itchy rash (diagnosed as contact dermatitis).
They did not say what all blood tests they were doing but my thyroid came back at 2.0 which apparently is normal level. I have not had blochy skin or rashes but I have had dry skin and my hair comes out in small clumps in the shower. My family has a history of heart problems, and leukemia, although I did not find out about the leukemia until a couple of days ago. My daughter told me that my great grandmother on her side had passed as a result.
Ritter, 36, contends in a class-action lawsuit that the intimate apparel merchant sold her bras soaked in chemicals that caused itchy rashes and painful burns on her breasts. She filed the lawsuit last month against Victoria's Secret and its Columbus-based parent, the Limited Brands Inc., in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. A judge has yet to decide whether to grant the suit class-action status.
My doctor has run all types of tests to rule out infections and my white blood count is normal, so I don't really suspect leukemia or lymphoma. I've had an abdominal CT to check my organs and everything is normal. I'm set up to see an endocrinologist/internist in about two months. I haven't had any kind of skin rashes even though I've been out in the sun quite a lot in the past two weeks. However, I've developed pain in my lower back, pelvis, and knees - especially when I walk for exercise.
About 4 weeks ago I began to have a fungal skin infection and i have just begun to treat it. Then, about 3 days ago i developed a petechial looking rash all over my entire body. i'm so scared. is it common to develop rashes this soon? can someone help me i feel like i'm going nuts.
we will then in a few days go and see another Doctor who hoepfully didnt get his Med degree from the back of a cereal packet like the one we just saw seemed to have gotten his from. Those parents who have similar skin rashes...sometimes it can be the most simplest things we overlook that cause us to go into mad panics and stop sleeping from worry.....
Most don't itch except the ones in the crease under the buttocks and sometimes on palms of hands. There is one open raw crack in the skin in one location between two specific toes. I don't know if this is related but I have never had athlete's foot in my life. One derm says syphilis or erythema multiforme, one derm says herpes, Lupus, leukemia are possibilities. CBC Diff and BMP normal, herpes antibodies high, ANA normal, syphilis test negative.
"lymphocytic vasculitis" I have never heard of this before, when the link comes up, the forum suggests these also: "lymphocyticAcute lymphocytic leukemia (all) Acute lymphocytic leukemia - photomicrograph Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (cll) Chronic lymphocytic leukemia - microscopic view Chronic thyroiditis (hashimoto’s disease) Non-hodgkin's lymphoma Silent thyroiditis vasculitisNecrotizing vasculitis" I think I have ONE such rash.
Hello, These can be small petechiael rashes or cherry angiomas. Cherry angiomas are made up of clusters of tiny capillaries at the surface of the skin, forming a small round dome or a small red spot. Petchiae are caused by superficial bleed from capillaries in the skin(petechiae) and they are common after infections. Did you get a platelet count done in your blood count? Please relax as petchiae are found in other disorders also and leukemia is thought of as last possibility.
Let your doctor know if you have any unexplained bruising or bleeding, such as nosebleeds, blood spots or rashes on the skin, or bleeding gums. Anaemia (low number of red blood cells) While having treatment with etoposide you may become anaemic. This may make you feel tired and breathless. Let your doctor or nurse know if these effects are a problem. Hair loss This usually starts 3–4 weeks after the first dose of etoposide, although it may happen earlier. Your hair may fall out completely.
I am grateful to have found this site. Here goes. Approx 20 months ago, entire body began itching. 24/7. Started in June, subsided in November. Only to start up again June of last year. This time around the itching's not let up, and it's now March. It's also been accompanied with various other sx's/conditions (only in yr2). Any ideas as to what this may be?
Can this be associated with EBV? Is this common with EBV infection. It's already been 6 months and this rashes just started showing up recently. Although it shows up in one or 2 at a time per week only. Did you guys experience any rashes also? And if so, how does it look like and how long did it last? Thank you very much in advance and i hope any of you guys can help me because i'm really worried. BTW "Happy New Year" to everybody.
I am very tired most of the time however I am on Metoprolol and I know that causes me to be tired. I have had skin rashes on my face and seem to be breaking out. ( I have never had acne even as a teenager ) My tongue is whitish for about a month. I went to my GP and it is not thrush. I have had chest and back pain and recently have undergone all tests from my cardiologist except cardio catheter because he thought it was not necessary.
He ran a series of blood tests for things like Leukemia, Lupus, and Schleroderma, and all of the results came back with good news. He's now referring me to a cardiologist for a heart echo, or something like that. I don't know how to spell it. I've been experiencing unusually cold feet and fingers for over a year now. That's as far back as I can remember. I'm only 17. Sometimes my fingers and toes will turn blue and purple and red, obviously, from Reynaud's.
I hate to dx someone over the internet, but it really sounds a whole lot like what I have gone through with lupus. You said all your labs are normal except the ANA, MPV and Monocytes. Did you mean MCV? If so, that means your hematocrit is off. It reflects the size of the red blood cells. Increased values may indicate macrocytic anemia or vit B or folic acid deficiency and decreased values may indicate microcytic anemia possibly caused by iron deficiency.
Although no one felt the need for taking any skin samples, biopsies, etc, they cannot even begin to tell me what this is. I am a mid fifties business woman (I have to stay in hotels from time to time) in a marriage for 30+ years. This discussion is related to itchy rash on chest, stomach, breast has been spreading.
