Avatar f tn For two years I have suffered from a skin rash which mimics scabies. I have had various tests including biopsies. The rash now covers my entire body and itches a lot. For many years Ihave been on thyroid medication for nodules on my thyroid. Could the rash be related to my thyroid? Avatar m tn I also experiences really itchy skin at times, not as bad as yours though. In my case, I can prevent the rashes by avoiding harsh weather, strong chemicals and strong soap. Keep your skin supple by always moisturizing with mild lotions. Being diabetic, we are prone to more infections so prevention against infection is our best defense.
Avatar n tn Does anyone here suffer unexplained skin problems related to their condition? I have a rash which looks like eczema/ ringworm but is neither of these things and it gets worse when im stressed and my other symptoms are bad. i also get mild acne and very hypersensitive/allergy prone skin. Anyone else suffer like this?
Avatar m tn Hello! Skin rashes or blisters can cause burning sensation in the skin. Skin conditions like scabies, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema, fungal infection all can cause itching, swelling and changes in the color and texture of the skin. If there is no skin problem then the other problems could be nerve problems, circulation problems, and diabetes etc.A high dose of vitamin niacin leads to the dilation of the small blood vessels found throughout the surface of your skin.
Avatar m tn We have been sexually active from the get go, however about 3 years ago i started suffering with multiple problems! I have been experiencing paper-cut like tears, red rashes that can occasionally surface bleed, rare swelling, pain during intercourse, stinging when urinating (because of the cuts), itching, thick white discharge that can have the same feeling as a period and when i smoked i got twinges in the womb/lower stomach area.
Avatar m tn You may need to have a more recent HBA1c blood test done and discuss the results with your doctor. Skin problems are very common with diabetes and uncontrolled sugar levels. My doctor has told me that 6.5 is classed as diabetes and your doctor may prescribe you with Metformin. The Candiderma cream sounds fine. Read the instructions that came with the cream and use it as directed. You may need to apply it for a few days after the symptoms have gone.
Avatar m tn There are no signs of rashes just bumps all over my body,it started about 3 weeks ago and Ive taken allergex and it doesnt help.
Avatar f tn Hi. I suffer quite often but not all the time, from hypersensitive skin. It feels as though it's been scalded and it hurts to touch that area. It may be on my face, top of my thigh, waist, calf; seems it strikes one side of my body at one time in different spots. It affected my calf this week, and I could barely walk on that leg. I have had neuro check ups with no results or findings that support any disease in particular. I've suffered from this for about 10 years and it's getting worse.

Avatar f tn It would also be a good idea to get checked out for glucose intolerance or diabetes. It is very common to get fungal skin problems with glucose intolerance or having diabetes. You need to make an URGENT appointment to see your doctor and get the correct treatment for your condition. do bear in mind that it can take a long time for the skin to start to heal, so you must persevere with good hygiene and following the directions give to you when applying any creams. Let me know how you get on.
Avatar m tn A little while ago, I realised that it was possibly connected to the food I was eating, as I noted rashes on my hand (not itchy, no hives, my skin would redden). I absolutely do not care about the rashes, but about the fact that I am SEVERELY fatigued, to the point that I am unable to do anything. My brain also feels fogged up, and I loose concentration. I also may get problems with falling or staying asleep.
Avatar n tn 1) itchy armpits started ~9/15/04, affects both sides, have some rashes as a result of scratching, itch is present on-and-off, but is bothersome every day.
1793142 tn?1315382976 I actually do have a big thing of extra virgin coconut oil because I use it directly on skin problems and in cooking- so I'm going to start oil pulling immediately! I should explain that the reason that drs are exploring a genetic disorder now is because my son also started getting sick with the same kind of specific problems and I also have an aunt who is sick with the same problems. Also most members of my maternal family (mother, grandmother, aunts, etc.
Avatar n tn I'm also experiencing the same problem and have got white spots on my lower legs. I believe that I've had them for about 5-6 years or so but it seems to have gotten worse and have spread to a wide area over the last 1-2 years. I'm a relatively fair person and its quite embarrassing too because the spots are very obvious - sometimes they even seem so white like they're almost luminous.
Avatar n tn Hi For several months I have been getting this weird sensation that my skin is crawling. This happens just behind my right shoulder blade in exactly the same place every time. It generally happens for no reason that I can fathom. It is a sort of itching sensation and then a sensation that there is something crawling under my skin. When I rub it with my fingers it disappears for a while but inevitably it returns within a few minutes. There is no pain involved.
Avatar n tn is the key phrase! the fact that not all of us end up with HTN, skin issues, malar rashes, thyroid problems, etc is proof that CERTAIN people might be predisposed to these things and the exhausting tx and powerful drugs aid in their development.

Avatar n tn then died in Apr, now taking care of mother so maybe stress has something to do with it. Also I have been using Splenda (a lot) and now have found out that it causes skin problems along with a boat load of other health related problems. I have cut out Splenda and now I am waiting to see if leg and stomach will get any better. Do you use Splenda? I am trying to figure out what we all have in common other than this skin tenderness. There is no outward signs that anything is wrong...
Avatar n tn The pain doesn't feel very deep either, it is just on the skin. Now I don't know if this is related to the strange skin sensitivity or not but about 4 days ago I started feeling this really weird sensation behind my left eye. It almost feels like I have to strain to move my eyeball to the left and when I do, I kind of have a dizzy feeling. I know this all sounds really weird but I feel like I have started to fall apart since the new year rang in!
Avatar n tn I'm certainly going to talk to mine when I go back and tell him about this forum and we've all got the same problems, being treated the same, and no relief. I, too, have problems walking like in malls and large spaces, with my balance.
Avatar m tn I posted this info before, but it was a reply to someone else's similar post... I am a 23 year old healthy male. I recently had a full physical and the results were that I am in above average health. I have no diseases, do not use drugs, but drink on occasion. Anyways, just started noticing these strange symptoms, within the past few weeks. Nothing "brought it on" so to speak that I can tell of.
Avatar n tn If they are naked with you and are busy staring at some slightly darker skin, they have bigger problems! Find a guy who isn't a waste of time, at least that's free.

Avatar n tn The skin on the lid is dry, but somewhat close to normal. I have problems under my eyes and the skin is getting worse, dry and causing deep wrinkles. Concealer to cover the redness only makes me look 10 years older! If anyone can recommend anything, please let me know. I'm pretty desperate and can't handle this anymore. I know it's only been 3 weeks, but it's horrible!! Thanks....
Avatar m tn Three days ago I started feeling like whatever this was is now in my skin (I'm certain of it), It's under the skin on my face, my scalp, my back, my toes, and my feet. I can feel it crawling in and out of my anus at times also. Went to the dermatoligist today and of couse he says it's my imagination, some people get it. He's subscribed me some DEXEPIN for depression. :( Funny thing is I'm not depressed, my life was quite good until this bug showed up.
Avatar f tn Dry skin usually results from older age or environmental factors such as long-term use of air conditioning or central heating, and washing or bathing too much. •Skin conditions and rashes. Many skin conditions itch, including eczema (dermatitis), psoriasis, scabies, lice, chickenpox and hives. The itching usually affects specific areas and is accompanied by other signs, such as red, irritated skin or bumps and blisters. •Internal diseases. Itchy skin can be a symptom of an underlying illness.
Avatar n tn Maybe it is a weird form of prickly heat? For those that mention diabetes or liver problems, I have never had problems with either issue. I am pretty healthy, just overweight. Not allergic to anything (that I know of) and I haven't done anything or used anything out of the normal. This literally happened out of nowhere.
