Hi, Im sixteen years old. Im perscribed to Prozac and YAZ. Ive been on Prozac for more than a year and YAZ since the summer of '09. Every since I started the YAZ back pains grew horrible. I started taking the YAZ because my OBGYN thinks I have indometriosis. For the past two months I have to be wearing a pad because I cant stop bleeding. I feel like Im sixty years old. My bones are week. I cant breath. My feet randomly go numb. When Im on the pink pill durng the month.

I was wondering if that (a sedative) or something else like a beta blocker was ever recommended along with stimulants for those with ADD and mitral valve prolapse? (oh, and another complication--I take Yaz bcp continuosly to keep my terrible endometriosis under control--it's possible that the Yaz is already excaberating my mvp symptoms) Ideas anyone? I really must have some medical help for my debilitating ADD symptoms, but I don't want to worsen my heart/anxiety symtpoms.

Hi cassiee014, First and foremost got off Yaz. The birth control Yaz is dangerous. There are actually some women who have lawsuits against the manufacturers of Yaz. Getting off Yaz may solve your depression. Actually I just read you have a mild history of depression. You also said you haven't taken any medication for your depression. Okay. I would make an appointment with your family doctor . Is your doctor aware of your mild history of depression?

s, that worked perfectly fine before, may be caused by a reaction with the Yaz. I went off Yaz and eventually, they put me on Wellbutrin and Buspar. Each week I was getting better and better, however, I was getting awful acne. I never had acne even as a teenager. So, I thought, I'll go back on a different bc pill because they help with acne. Big mistake. I should have gone to a dermatologist instead! Within a day I was experiencing the tingling and burning in my neck.

Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. I suffer from acne which i am on yaz for, been on it for 7 days and i know its not the yaz as i have felt this way for 2 years. My doc prescibed me 10mg prozac and i am scared to take it because of all the horror stories. I just want to know if i will still be myself? I am normally a bubbly, caring, person but i get really down. And i do get anxiety occasionly and fear stops me from doing the things i want.

Since I had been taking the Yaz for almost two months straight (I skipped my period by not taking the placebo pills) do you think this changes the possibility of me being unprotected?

i have two ovarian cysts one 3cm and the other slightly smaller, i was already on mirena an iud and now put on yaz to for birth control to shrink the cysts but now my breast are swelling really bad, what should i look out for as for complications, is this safe?

m thinking these tests were useless due to the Yaz and that she needed the free levels checked but does the TSH look high? We have stopped the Yaz and will retest in a month or two. Thanks.

I am a 49 year old female in perimenopause. I have a history of migraines since starting my menses at age 13 years old. Been in perimenopause for the last 4 years. Four years ago began having panic attacks-one occurred during visit with GYN. I was place on low dose niravan for anxiety.

I wondering if anyone knows when your on the Yaz birth control pill if you can skip your period for the month? I was on Ortho tri- lo another pill and I was able to but I am now on Yaz. Please let me know if you have done this or KNOW for sure!

m unhappy with this so my OBGYN switched me to Zovia, which I do not like. My question is, could YAz and Topamax at 50-100mg, be taken together?

Now she, along with us, wants to get off the clonazepam and go it alone with out any meds, besides the Yaz. and therapy. We talk to her therapist and her pysciatrist today. Her pysciatrist thinks she is just very sensitive to any of these types of drugs. I just want her to be better!!!

I am trying to take supplements but often forget! I have also been on prozac for year and yes, it takes away your sexual drive. I think it would be a good idea to switch if it is early on, Dr. didn't want to switch me.

October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only) November 10 - Period came November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack) November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding Nov19- 27 light bleeding Nov 28 bleeding gone I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.

The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

I just started my yaz again after being off it for 3 months. and I just got my new contacts on Thursday. WEll last night I was wearing them and they were really dry and blurry. I read the little booklet that comes with the Yaz and It says to contact your doctor if you can't see using your contacts with your birth control. Why is this? Is it just because they become dry? Will eye drops help this?

Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.

I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
