foot

My cockatiel is around 20 years old and has a hurt foot. He can hardly get around and his foot is swollen and red-ish. He won't fly anymore either. He still eats but he's in bad shape. Any advise? I'm really worried.
I am sorry but I guess I did not make it clear. It is not my ankle it is my foot. When I fell my foot fell over itself and than it twisted. When it twisted I heard a snap.At first I devoloped a big goose egg on the side of my foot. The swelling was just above my ankel at the widest part of my foot on the outside of my foot up across top of foot. Within minutes,my whole foot was huge. I have never had anything wronge with my foot before.
This house it nothing but that and I have notice since I've been here I am getting Fred Flintstone feet?....I don't know if it's my imagination but my feet starting to hurt alot too?....... anyone know? nauty.......
When I fell and broke my foot in 5 places the Dr. put a boot that came up to my knee that I wore 6 weeks. He took it off this week and had me get a special kind of shoe and I wore it home from shoe store and in 30 mins. it hurt real bad when I stood on it.Is there any other solution? The boot felt better than the shoe.
They said just tape it up and be glad you don't need surgery. well yes, I'm glad....but not to be setting my own bones!!!!! finally I called a smaller practice, and they saw me, re-xrayed the foot to make sure some healing was occuring (3 weeks after the break...but hey...it is nice to know....)and finally gave me a sandal to wear that protects the foot....so I wouldn't hurt it again...
i've got an ankle from hell, i've had 4 surgeries and i'm just buying my time before a possible fusion. my doctor always takes xrays not to see if the foot is broke but to check for spacing of the bones, my cartlidge is nearly gone and requires to be scoped every 1 to 2 yrs to clean it out. its best if you look up a podiatrist to work on your foot not just any ol doctor. a podiatirist specializes in foot and ankles.
Well, six months later, I have limited mobility in my foot and I can not bend my toes the same way as I could before. (My feet were my claim to fame, I could beat the first four levels of sonic the hedgehog with just my toes) Now I have pain in my foot and it constently feels like it needs to *pop* in order to get any relief. *I also didn't stay off my foot like I was advised because as my fiance puts it... I'm as stubborn as I am beautiful.
Yesterday, my almost three year old jumped off the couch and immediately started crying and saying his foot hurt. He was limping around for the rest of the morning. I took him to see the LPN in the afternoon as his ped is off Mondays. She ordered X-rays of his whole left leg which were negative. She advised that I give him Ibuprofen but I explained he cannot have it becuase he has surgery next week (unrelated). So Tylenol is it. She mentioned possibly a pulled muscle.
I was play wrestling around with my girlfriend a few days ago, and i tripped on something on the floor and my knee came straight down with all my weight onto her foot (yeah I'm real popular with her parents now). She had previously broken that foot about 2 years ago. Its hurt a lot for her to walk on since the injury is swollen. She went to her regular physician today who said the bones were probably cracked and there was nothing they could do. he didnt even bother xraying it or anything.
A few days ago I had a sensation of the floor vibrating under one foot. Since then I have realized it is my foot. It is felt in bloth feet, one at a time. Never both at the same time. I feel it when I am standing r walking. It is like an intermittent buzzing sensation. It comes in short bursts on after the other then stops. It will happen when walking and I will feel it with every third or fourth step. What could be the cause?
Hi, have been to a doctor to have it checked out? There are many bones in the foot as well as nerves. Have you hurt it in any way?
Since then, I've been having a problem with my foot. The an area on the top of my foot right behind my pinky, ring and middle toes hurts whenever I walk. The pain that I feel when I walk and run is a jolting pain and it also aches. The pain goes into the middle of my foot. I asked a friend of mine and she suggested that I could have pulled a muscle in my foot. But, when I walk, I can feel my bones moving, kind of like crunching.
I damaged the fibrial posterial tendon. When I hurt my foot badly by falling into a hole in the ground accidently, I applied lots of yogurt and strapped it up and elevated the leg. I was wheeled in to get my foot xrayed at hospital the next day. And walked out fine - miracle!
Sometimes when I lift my foot up it feels like something is rubbing on the side of my foot, kind of like bones rubbing. (Used to get that feeling in my right knee before I had surgery) I had to do some walking today and my ankle and foot are soooo sore..walking was horrible..i wish i knew what is going on with my foot Maybe someone here could shed me some insight.
Are you certain there isn't a break in a bone in there somewhere? There are so many tiny bones in your foot. It took the drs 5 months to find the break in my foot. (This was many years ago. Ended up being a sesamoid bone on the bottom of my foot.) I'm telling you this because those breaks can be hard to find. Or it could be some type of nerve damage. I don't know. My best advice is to see an orthopedic doctor.
I am experiencing is all in my head.I was very hurt and confused by his reaction to my complaints,so needless to say,he had me in tears. After I left his office,I made an appt.with my PCD to talk to him about my condition, and symptoms. He ordered an X ray, bone scan, and labs.My X ray looked fine, however my bone scan showed abnormal increased uptake in the calcaneal area, and my labs were slightly elavated.
We haven’t had a good old mystery diagnosis lately so I thought I would offer up my case history and get your feedback. This is not MS related because it is not a CN problem Pt history: MS Left foot Bunionectomy April 2012 Pulmonary embolism August 2012 Hammer toe – left foot developed 2013 Sx (that’s for symptoms and not sex)- Pain in left foot – got orthotics for relief from hammertoe – helped temporarily but then started to worsen over past six months.
What kind of damage can you do to the ball of your foot that would hurt this long and even effect my big toe especially but all of my toes? The bottom or ball is what kills me! I can't weight bear on the ball of my foot? I hope I can get any help from anyone? I have had several old injuries. One being kicking a steel door several time many of years ago! also having something fall or hit the top of my foot that was pretty heavy! Thanks for any help you might be able to give me or point me in!
My doctor doesnt think its gout, because its affecting the middle of my foot up towards my ankle.(more towards the right side of the middle of my foot) It has also climbed up to my ankle now and starting to get slight pain above my ankle. I have been staying off of it by using crutches - it was to the point I couldnt walk or even put pressure on it. I can now barely walk on it and a little pressure doesnt hurt at all, but still is swollen.
I can't describe it, it's not really pain, just an irritated burning kind of feeling and I noticed I feel it generally only when I am resting (and worsens the higher up I put my foot). Putting weight on my foot actually RELIEVES it. It's driving me nuts and I get queasy when it comes to anything to do with the feet and this discomfort is making me physically ill whenever I think about, which having been diagnosed with OCD a couple a years ago, I am always thinking about it.
Ok, i was out skating and i badly hurt my ankle. My foot went over and under the front of board and i fell. at first it seemed like a rolled ankle, so i just didnt go to school and stayed off it. Now, after a week, the ankle swelling has gone down, but my foot is starting to swell, including my toes. Also, in the top part of my foot, which is really puffy, it feels like theres liquid or somesort of geletin in it.
LOL You must be young, I guess it works differently for some ppl, when I get a cramp in my leg, there is no way I can get up and stomp my foot. The pain is just too intense. Now if my leg falls asleep, then I will shake it out, maybe slowly stomp it.lol Maybe it's the difference in age, but my cramps are sooo bad, all I can do is try to relax.
I had a year of that - my feet hurt like the bottoms were bruised, or like I was walking on rocks. My honey would rub on them to get the muscles in them to relax, but they'd be back the next day. I think they were just spastic.
What could be causing the bones on the top of my feet to hurt? The pain feels like it is in the bones (at the highest point) that run from the big toes to the ankles. Any remedies?
They are about the diameter of a quarter. The first appeared on the inside of my foot. The one on the edge of my left kneecap. Another on the right kneecap on top. Another on the right kneecap on the edge. And, most recent, a couple on my breast bone, just under the throat. I've got a history of gout and arthritis, 40year old male. These bumps keep multiplying and do not go away. They do not hurt any more or less during a gout or arthritis flair up.
Just touching the swelling doesn't hurt but any pressure applied causes pain across my foot-in fact the area at base of toes on top of foot is very tender.
my bones always hurt it sometimes gets swollen it feels lile broken sometimes i can move legs, foot, hands, arms, sholder, colar bone, fingers
and its still snowing and supposed to snow heavily all day today til tonight. And I hurt my knee bad last night! I slipped on the snow/ice and my stupid dog then dragged me on the leash stumbling across the yard after I'd just injured it. At first it was just some mild pain for an hour. and then.......omg within 2 minutes it went from mild to severe and so stiff i couldnt bend it! I could literally feel it swelling up INSIDE.
The swelling was just above my ankel at the widest part of my foot. Within minutes,my whole foot was huge. The hospital took x-rays and said the sweeling have my bones pushed together. This means I have to repete the x-rays in 8-10 days. This was 5 days ago and I still have very little movement in my toes and they( my toes) feel like they are flared but they are not. The general pain has subsidted mostly except for this painfull feeling of my toes being flare.
I wear the compression stockings sometimes, but there are times they actually hurt and dig into the bend of my foot. I am now 62 years old and still have my left swollen ankle/foot and have learned to live with it, and use the compression stockings mainly in the summer when the humidity is high. My foot is more swollen during the summer. Fortunately, slacks are much more popular nowadays because I am uncomfortable wearing dresses because of my swollen foot.
