(Used to get that feeling in my right knee before I had surgery) I had to do some walking today and my ankle and foot are soooo sore..walking was horrible..i wish i knew what is going on with my foot Maybe someone here could shed me some insight.
Avatar n tn It burned like fire and felt like my bones were breaking. Nothing helped. I tried standing on it with pressure, rubbing it, flexing it. The pain was unberable. I was about to wake my husband to take me to the the hospital when the pain suddenly started to become milder. This happened several more times during the night. Then several nights in a row. Then it started happening to my other foot.
Avatar f tn The pain is very bad when I walk up stairs my doctor said the bones are rubbing together. I take 800 ml Ibuprophen it doesnt help at all. what else can I try that may be of help?
Avatar f tn I saw my ankle surgeon a couple of weeks ago and I had just found out that I have a bone spur on the top of my right foot (the same foot and ankle that I had surgery on in April 2008). He told me to do some ankle exercises to relieve some of the pain. He didn't do anything with the bone spur yet. I go see him again October 15. My question is: Will the ankle exercises help the bone spur disappear or will I need to get surgery to remove the bone spur?
Avatar f tn Mine do that! Even if I move my foot my hips crack and pop. It's normal. Mine started doing it at 22 weeks.

Avatar n tn I am only 40 but when I get up from a chair, walk or go up the stairs, I get pains in the top of my legs quite abit above the knee but below the thigh in both legs. I do suffer with plantar fasciatas (fallen arches). It feels like my bones are rubbing together and causing me pain. I'm wondering what it could be, and how I can prevent or treat it. I am open to any suggestions. Hope you can help me.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you may have either had a serious sprain or broken some of those tiny bones that are in the foot. You definitely should see your doctor and he will probably order an X-ray. That sounds painful. I twisted mine before by missing a step, and the hospital put on a cast and this relieved the pressure on my foot and made it feel a lot better. Mine was just a sprain.
Avatar n tn Recently I've had a lot of pain like around where my pelvic bones are. It hurts when I move my body in certain ways, & It even hurts to walk! It kind of feels like my bones are rubbing against each other? Idk what it is, it could just be all the pressure the baby is putting on the bones but does anyone know how to deal with this kind of pain?
Avatar f tn Putting any weight on an operated foot or ankle can do damage to the repair that’s been done. Bones need time to heal. Plates or screws that may have been added during surgery need the bones to heal around them. Adding weight too soon can interrupt this important internal healing process.
Avatar f tn okay, so I'm 23 (so I'm not worried about fragile bones), a while a go (some time last week, probably monday or tuesday), I was walking to work, on an icy road and slipped, falling on a patch of rough ice. a couple of days ago my leg started getting moments of dull aches. And I have a very large bruise on my leg (which I expected, since I fell forward onto it, and it was quite sore).
Avatar n tn I have no arch left as my bones have all collasped. I also get 3mthly cortizone shots into my broken bones to relieve the inflamation the best pain relief ever. Are you still getting any treatment??
Avatar f tn I love getting my feet rub but my husband doesn't seem to like rubbing me feet :/ I really need a foot rub right about now !! How often do you lady's get your feet rubbed ??
Avatar f tn how can i get my foot to move like it used to before i broke it cause now its stiffened up so much that it hurts when i try popping any of the bones
1170694 tn?1285097509 Hello and welcome, This is common with FM and I believe what your describing is called crepitus. It's fairly harmless. Sometimes it can be caused by arthritis in the joints- other times it's just caused by cartilage rubbing on bones or other tissues. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have it really bad and have had it for years. It's just something you learn to live with I guess. Heat helps the pain when the joints are swollen.
Avatar n tn About a month and a half ago I went to Vietnam to train for my martial arts. and I was punching the floor and hurt my middle finger's knuckle. It started to swell and I felt pain on my knuckle everytime I would barely touch it. And I've been rubbing on some asian remedy on it and it's helped a little bit with the pain, but it's still swollen pink and even though it doesn't hurt when you touch it anymore, throwing a punch at a bag or another person hurts my knuckle still.
Avatar f tn It feels like a bone is actually out of place or something and the support of my foot bones is missing. If I have actually put weight on the foot it will drop me. The pain is excruciating. I wiggle the foot around a little (ouch!) and then something clicks very lightly and the pain disappears almost instantly. I suspect it's something as minor as a tendon that has slipped out of its groove, but boy it hurts! I have had that thing happen for many years, long before the MS.
Avatar m tn Where the talus meets the bones of the foot, it forms the subtalar joint, which is important for walking on uneven ground. The talus is an important connector between the foot and the leg and body, helping to transfer weight and pressure forces across the ankle joint. Refer http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=A00170 Your surgeon must have decided bearing these facts in mind. Hope this is useful.
Avatar m tn Hello, It can be due to a spider bite or due to callus formation due to continuous rubbing of the foot with the socks and shoes. Place protective covering or bandages over the sore to decrease friction on the skin until the sore heals. Soak feet or hands in warm soapy water to soften calluses. Then rub apply some moisturizer. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn For the last 6-8 weeks I have been having pain when I step on my feet in the morning, it feels like the bones in the top of my foot are pressing together, I generally goes away once I walk on it until I sit a while. Until later in the evening it beguins again. Lately though it feels like a nerve or something is being pinched in my shin and I have to take ibuprophen before going to bed so that it doesn't wake me.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor this morning about this strange rubbing sound that is level with my collar bones. It makes the sound when I twist my soulders sides to side and when I put my arms up and rotate them level with the shoulders. She could not hear anything because it was too noisey. I can hear it and so can my boyfriend. Im 22, healthy, on pill only, dont get reflux like the other people and i have never smoked. I noticed it about 1 year ago.
Avatar n tn Sometimes it is best to take them to the doctor and get the proper wrap for the foot that will make it heal faster...with so many bones in the feet a micro fracture could take months to heal without proper attention. Let me know how he is....
