Avatar m tn My feet sometimes cramp when I curl my toes down. It hurts a lot, and I can break out of it by stretching my toes out again. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Avatar m tn ve been experiencing this tightness/spasm sensation in both my feet. This usually occur when I try to bend my foot back more specifically my toes back. But if I bend my foot/toes back and hold it in position for 20-30 seconds the tightness/spasm subside. However, once I relax the same sensation occurs again *** I try again to bend my toes back. What does this mean? and can it be treated?
Avatar f tn Only started to move when moved toes and base of foot myself. Today feels nearly the same as my hand did. My calf muscle feels bit tingly nearly like pins and needles. Comments please??
Avatar f tn The whole body weight is supported by foot and all the tendons of the leg muscles are inserted in your leg bones and with this fracture and the screws and all the foreign bodies inserted inside you are having constant irritation with standing/walking etc. So you have to take pain killers and learn how to support your weight and decrease your pain slowly, your Physiotherapist can explain it to you. Take care!
Avatar m tn is a deformity that usually occurs at the head of the one of the five long bones or just due to deficiency of vitamins. So you can take some multivitamins for few days and see if it works. Consult to your physician for further examination. Hope it helps.Regards.
Avatar f tn It can also be ligament injury. You may need a MRI of the foot and ankle. Meanwhile, rest your feet by keeping them elevated on a cushion or stool. Apply ice pack. Take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic. Hope this helps. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar n tn Then later on he could barely walk on the foot and now it is a little swollen an it is burised on the side, but my main concern is there appears to be a knot or large bump of some kind on the side/bottom of his foot. Do you think his foot is broken?? I am debating between going to the emergency room or waiting till morning and going to the doctor, so any fast help would be nice. Thanks very much!
Avatar f tn Have you had x-rays of your feet? Foot pain can have many causes. I have hammer toes on both feet and bones that are pushing together and inflaming nerves. In my case it's because of RA, but my podiatrist said he sees patients with similar symptoms that are caused by things like obesity and, yes, bad shoes. He created custom molds for my feet so I'll have inserts in my shoes to relieve the pain.
Avatar f tn It could also be stress fractures of the bones of the foot. You will need MRI of the whole foot, X-rays of the foot, EMG and nerve conduction studies for a confirmed diagnosis. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
Avatar f tn I had bunion surgery (hallux valgus and tailors) and 2 hammer toes (2nd and 3rd toes) repaired (arthroplasty with ostetomy) 6 weeks ago. I am still not able to put my foot down or ambulate. When I put my foot down it turns bright red, then blue/purple and immediately starts to swell. The pain is quite intense and accompanied by parestesias. When I return it to an elevated poition, it returns to normal and the pain/paresthesias resolve. Why is this still happening so far out? Is this normal..
Avatar m tn http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e55/dudnaito/footlarge.jpg i will be seeing a doctor once my insurance gets in order, but that won't be for another 2-3 weeks. i've of course taken aspirin, of course i stretch, and yes I've iced it, used creams, etc.. but it's fairly persistent. It's actually not painful at all unless I either walk around for more than 30 minutes or I jog, which is quite a lot... something that I've had to refrain from for quite awhile now.
Avatar f tn Hi there! That bruising takes forever to go away-even my swelling took a couple months. As long as you have a good pulse on the top of your foot I wouldn't worry much.I was also told to wiggle my toes all the time.Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn t think he damaged the nerve, they rarely ever do but he did. Two of her toes are numb and the foot has the electrical feeling going through it constantly. She has come to the realization that it will always be this way. At first, the Doctor reassured her that the feeling would go away and the numb toes would return, but that has not been the case. It is hard to say if the feeling will ever be normal again, I guess time will tell but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Avatar f tn My son is now almost 13, when he was approx 6 we were told he had webbed feet as 2 toes on either foot appeared to be shorter.
Avatar n tn I SUFFER WITH CRPS POST FOOT SURGERY. MY FOOT HAS ATROPHIED. THE BONES IN MY TOES ARE FUSED TOGETHER. BURNING HORRIBLE. I GET KETAMINE INFUSION EVERY 2 MONTHS FOR TWO THREE HOUR SESSIONS. HAD 6 DAY INPATIENT KETAMINE INFUSION, 6 DAY IVIG INPATIENT INFUSION AND 6 DAY LIDOCAINE INPATIENT INFUSION WHEN IN 4TH DAY I SUFFERED FROM LIDOCAINE TOXICITY & HAD TO BE TAKEN OFF INFUSION. NOTHING HAS HELPED. MY CONDITION IS ONLY GETTING WORSE WITH TIME. SUFFERED SINCE 2009.
Avatar n tn You need an immediate visit to an emergency room to rule out osteomyelitis, a life-threatening bone infection that often starts in the toe. The bones in the toes are very close to the skin. This is usually a problem with diabetics. Diagnosis involves an immediate x-ray, and then an MRI if there are abnormalities. If this is the case you are in danger or losing your leg. This means now. Not tomorrow or after you make an appointment with your physician three weeks from now.
Avatar f tn The area is swollen so I do my own tests and with the foot being flat on the floor and I go to lift the toes all those bones? that pop up from the toes and gather to go up the leg are all sore but you can only see aboout an inch of them. What happened and what do I do.
Avatar f tn It started to hurt every time I would walk long distances and would feel like I had my socks bunched up under my toes. It graduated to constant ball of foot pain with numbness in the ball of foot and toes with tenderness between the metatarsal bones on both feet. Has anyone ever had this or currently has the same symptoms? I have been to my GP who thinks it is a foot issue. I have an appointment with an Orthopedic, but could not get an appointment until April.
Avatar f tn A day later my cast is feeling too tight but color of toes is good unless I put it down. Have kept my foot up and mostly above my heart and iced for last 4 days without much relief but situation has not gotten worse. Orthopedic doc said Advil is not good as it keeps bones from healing but I need to reduce swelling. Am starting arnica now.
Avatar m tn “Intermetatarsal” describes its location in the ball of the foot between the metatarsal bones. Neuromas may also occur in other locations in the foot. You probably should get a Cortisone shot and maybe Orthotics. see a Orthopedist or a Podiatrist.
1467506 tn?1286413017 I had surgery on my foot 2 months ago to remove a bone spur on the top of my foot. I also had a toe (second toe, next to great toe) that was affected by separate pain and had completely turned crooked. The top of my foot - where the spur was removed is still very sore and painful if I wear shoes that tie or walk for any distance. The entire foot feels cramped as well. The toe issue is unchanged - still the same pain as before bone spur surgery.
Avatar f tn My fourth toe on my right foot is red and it hurts. The side of the toe split open as well. The top of the foot has a red line zigzagging to that toe. What is it?

1084398 tn?1277304810 For the last couple of months, I had some horrid pain (right foot) under my two left toes. I called to get into the dr, I finally see the foot dr. today after work. (I think this is an honest foot pain that is fixable with surgery - not MS related). This last week... after I had an episode of head to toe tremors (not the easy to deal with vibrating), but the ones that knock you on your feet you need to lay down and sleep tremors, now my left foot hurts. I don't know what it is.
