Lump lower leg

Common Questions and Answers about Lump lower leg

Avatar n tn I have a hard lump near the bone on my lower leg about half way between the knee and ankle. I discovered it putting on socks. It does not hurt and can be moved around under the skin. It is very hard, like bone. I researched bone spurs, but did not find any reference to spurs on that part of the body. Also, it does not seem to be attached to the bone. I am 58 years old and borderline for osteoporosis, but do not have it as yet. Is this a symptom of that?
Avatar n tn I have a lump on my lower right leg. I woke up about 3 weeks ago with it. It feels and looks bruised and is getting bigger. Should I be concerned?

Avatar n tn I got a lump on my upper right leg a while back ago, and i didnt really think anything of it, and it ended up dissapearing. Then a little while after i obtained another lump just like the last one but on my lower left leg this time, right above my ankle. The bumps never hurt, caused any problems with my legs, no weakness or anything, i just leave em alone. Plus i cannot see a docter anytime soon. anyone have a clue?
Avatar n tn A related discussion, I have a small lump on my lower right leg. was started.
Avatar f tn I have a lump in my lower leg its on the side just above my ankle, I have had it checked out and the doctor that seen me just said it was tissue, but now i have burning in my leg and and one of my veins just above the lump as risen on my leg and it is now giving my terrible pain. I am flying abroad in the next two weeks and im am now really worrying about this lump because i have a toothache feeling in my leg and burning. Can anyone relate to this or has anyone heard about something like this?
Avatar n tn It may have existed in some capacity for some time, but I just didn’t pay much notice of it. The feel or consistency is similar to a lump on my lower back; it is neither really soft nor hard, it feels like a small rubbery lump and you can push around with your fingers. I also have one on the side of left leg, about 10 inches up from the knee. This one is smaller, but harder. in addition, I also have two on my right leg, about six inches up from my knee.
335728 tn?1331418012 A painful lump in that location is most likely to be from a deep hematoma (deep bruise that bled into the area and formed a lump. Do you have normal sensation in that lower leg? I can't imagine the circumstances that it would be a tumor or cancer. There is a specific injury that occurs there which is a bruise to the side of the shin. It can bleed under the periosteum, which is the sheath surrounding the bone. Sometimes these do get infected and become an abcess, so Sally was right.
Avatar m tn Expect some hyperalgesia and increased sensitivity on the leg for a while, but this to will pass. When you are able, massage the leg -- it promotes blood flow and healing. Exercise is also essential to regaining as much function as possible. Physical therapy may help you regain movement and sensation after healing. Best wishes.
Avatar n tn my right lower leg symptoms had been periodic but now more severe and constant. From the knee down, it feels as though my leg is going to sleep. It aches and feels weak. Now also noticing numbness and tingling in my right foot. I have not had any recent injuries or changes in activity. This was bothersome more at night when I was trying to go to sleep. It would start as an aching and restless feeling in the calf. Now the symptoms are much more significant and all day long.
Avatar f tn It even got to the point whre it hurt to touch the lower part of my leg. This lasted a couple of months. Then a lump appearred on the back of my lower leg when the pain started to ease up. The lump is about 4# long & 2" wide & still tender. I don't have a family doctor or medical insurance. I have a nother week until I will see a doctor. It is a little scarey for me since cancer runs in my family. Any Ideas as ot the posssible causes?
Avatar f tn I have a hard red lump on the inner side of my lower leg about 1 inch from my knee. It is hard, not moveable and when I try to cut it off it grows right back. Can it be removed? Should I see a derm or GP? I have a lipoma on my buttocks and have history of hemangioma removal on the back of my neck. I do have moles. All of these things I have had all my life or at least when I was younger. This is relatively new in the last 4 years. Thanks.
Avatar n tn I, too, would be interested to hear the results of both of your doctor visits. I have a lump that formed on my lower leg after a rollerblading accident in which my leg hit a metal bar. It has been almost two weeks since the accident, and the bruising has mostly subsided, but I noticed the lump a few days ago.
Avatar n tn I have a large, visible lump in my lower left back just above my buttocks. It seems to swell when I have PMS and my period. The pain causes me not to be able to sleep at night, it radiates down the back of my left leg. I only feel temporary relief if it is massaged. I have to prop pillows under my hips at night to try and take the pain away. my doc did an x-ray and said it is probably just scar tissue and told me not to worry about it. It is getting worse as time goes on.
Avatar f tn Pain and hardness is now spreading above and below the original hematoma (hard lump), with swelling in lower leg and foot. Have consulted 4 doctors so far (2 general, orthopedist, vascular), and have ruled out clots in the femoral artery and saphenous vein (from what they tell me). No one can explain the hard lump and the spreading hardness above and below or what to do about it. It is quite painful and getting worse. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn I am a 59 year old overweight lady. I have a brazil nut sided lump beneath the skin between my left leg and my labia majora, about two-thirds of the way back to my cervix, on the left side. I didn't discover the lump until this weekend. I have a "fatty" bump on my left lower leg, but, on inspection, it and the one near the labia majora are separate. Does it sound like a lymph node? It's too big to be a sebaceous cyst. It is the size of your thumb from the joint upwards.
Avatar f tn I have had a lump the size of an orange on my left lower back above my backside. It causes a lot of back pain which also radients down my leg. It has been there for about 3 months. I haven't seen a doctor and just told my husband and mom about it and asked them what they thought. They are upset because they can visually see the lump on my back. I am thinking that it is a muscle that needs to be kinked out, but they seem to think that it is more serious than that.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am concerned about a lump in my groin lower down on the thigh side of the crease between hich and hip (right of tisticle). Its probably 3 cms big and noticed this morning. It feels like a bruise and surrounding the lumps also feels bruised. Not had much luck on internet as all lumps in the groin I find are higher up with nymph nodes. I plyed golf yesterday in very hot temperature, and noticed in the evening that it felt bruised down there, like i had been cycling all day.
Avatar n tn For the past 2 days I have a very slight heat sensation in my lower left leg (no other problems). Is this some thing I should be concerned about now, or wait for my drs. appt in a few weeks?
Avatar n tn How long can a swollen/bruised muscle last? I still have a 4 inch long lump raised about 1/4 off the lower outside part of my leg next to my shin. I really don't want to have to go to the Dr. if I don't have to, just curious if it is abnormal for a muscle/tendon to stay swollen for that long, been exactly 2 weeks today.
Avatar n tn I am a Male 21 years of age i have recently broke out with shingles on my left side lower back. at the same time i have found a lump in the crevice of my pelvis (between my leg and bladder) left side. and i dont know what it is nor what to do. and are these 2 things happening because of one or the other?
Avatar f tn i have been having pelvic pain on the left side as well as lower back pain and leg pains both on the left side as well for about 2 weeks now. A couple days after they started they got so bad to the point where i was in tears. What could it be? kidney infection or something? I just have no idea and they happen on and off throughout the day and wake me up every morning.
Avatar f tn I am so glad I found this website. I too noticed a lump on my lower sternum. of course, I always think the worst of everything. Yes, I have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder as well. It's something that I cannot get over on my own, even with the mild meds that my RNP put me on i July. I've always been this way but got worse when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma. Since then, which has been almost 7 years ago, every single little thing that goes wrong with me I think I am dieing.
Avatar m tn my husband has a soft lump on his lower leg about 6 inches above ankle, that is soft or squashy to the touch and only shows up when he is standing or flexing his leg muscle.. when standing for a period of time it does seem to get a little larger.. no pain and has been there for about a yr... he has a smaller one that is up higher on his leg,but much smaller with same symptoms.
Avatar n tn The pain also goes down my left leg and is now in my lower left back. When I don't have shooting pains in my groin, there is a dull ache. Went to the DR. today and she thinks I may have kidney stones. Could this be ovarian cyst? The pains increase during ovulation and during my period. I have had them for the last several months and my periods have been irregular. I have no constipation. has anyone had these symptoms?
