I also have the lump that has been growing in size over the last 4-5 years in the xyphoid area. Also have difficulty swallowing. Don't sleep on my stomach often - more of a side sleepr. Glad to hear that it is not serious.
You will also want to request that the physician looks at the lump further, to rule out thyroid nodules. This can be done with an ultra sound machine (similar to the machine used to look at a baby in the womb i.e painless). Problems with the thyroid are extremely common and once diagnosed, can be relatively easily managed. 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with a thyroid disorder in thier lifetime. Don't worry, help is at hand. Lastly, life advice: PLEASE stop smoking and get yearly pap smears.
I was born in 1973 with a lump on the back, right side of my head. My mother said she was cleaning the kitchen window, when she slip & fell onto the kitchen sink during her pregnancy with me. But.. my father (they're divorced) said that my mom drank & smoked with me, they fought alot when she was pregnant with me. I still have the lump on the back, right side of my head; grew with me, not painful; but if someone would hit me hard in that spot I could pass out.
do you think the lump could be a cystocyle or rectocyle? not sure about the spelling but i saw a lumpy thing in there as well and did a lot of looking up online. that's what my "lump" seemed to match the most. i went to my obgyn and it was neither. she told me its "rugae" which is natural in the vagina. kind of a corregated cardboard appearance.
I think right now you're fine, but eventually it's bad for both you and baby if you lay on your back because the weight of your womb will eventually press onto a large vein in your back.
I have a large lump on my rib that is right below my left breast. It is not in my breast but below my breast.I had a tumor removed a year ago in my right breast, which was benign, but this is strange. It is very large and very distinctive. Can you have a tumor on your rib and not in your breast that might be Breast cancer and what do you think it can be. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
They are almost always benign and due to exposure to maternal hormones in the womb. The same hormones that cause the mother's breasts to swell and milk glands to be stimulated can do the same to the baby's breasts. These lumps and enlarged breasts in the baby may be quite noticeable at birth. They might even continue to grow after birth for a while. If you were to pinch them, some real breast milk may be expressed.
I had surgery just over 2 weeks ago and the best thing ever. The lump used to hurt especialy at night in bed when I would sleep on my side. It also looked ugly and like another boob. My surgeon did an excellent job with the scar so far it looks okay. I would say if it hurts and you are concious about it have it removed. My sister also had both armpits done.
Hi I am jumping in late into this thread. I was not sure if I would be starting this month or in February, but as of Tuesday we got the thumbs up from our RE that we would start once my period shows up which by my calculations will be Jan 23. I am to call the office and go in on the third day. I got my list of meds I cannot believe my eyes...I like allgood427 cannot not even look when I see a needle much less give it to myself.
I have a lump on my left side near pubic line. It increases in size and hardness close to my period and during. Then will take a good week to go down again. But never goes away completly. I get a lot of burning pain there and it is very painful to cough. I had an ultra sound scan yesterday, which showd that my ovaries are fine and that my womb looked fine. They found the lump, but have said are not sure what it is and that I will need another scan by a specialist in this field.
I would like to hear more about yours what symptoms you had in the past. Also, did they tell you what might have caused your Epididymitis? I thank you in advance for your reply.

OK, what you are telling me is you have a few "syndromes" and scolliosis. Sometimes if our bodies don't form well when we are in our mother's womb, it affects other organs. I'm not saying that is what is going on, but I'm thinking outloud. I'm certainly not a dr, nor am I familiar with some of these syndromes. I hear that you are having chronic UTIs and you are having pale stool. Hopefully you have shared the pale stool thing with your dr. This is a very significant observation!!
Just from past experiences? Did you get a lot of braxton hicks before labor? I have been getting them non stop all day! I am just feeling every single lump and bump going "oh is this it?!" Lol I didnt really get them with my last 2 pregnancies... so maaaaaybe!
I can kinda feel a lump. I don't know if it's the baby lump, or lump from ectopic. But when I press down on it, it doesn't hurt or anythign and I know the doctor said if I do and if it was ectopic that pressing down on the area would make me scream...any advice?

Today she went to the emergency room because of bleeding and she felt like she lost the baby when she went to the restroom, because she passed a huge lump of something in the toilet. So later when we went to another hospital they done a xray and a ultrasound and there was a heart beat, and this amazed us because we were sure she miscarried. We later was told she possibly was pregnant with twins but on the ultrasound the could not detect the yoke sac.
My boyfriend recently found a crusty feeling lump on his penis he went to the doctors and was told its unlikely to be warts as there was no liquid inside them and sent him away with no explination. It is actually now thought to be caused by the variation in background hormonal levels that just happen to be greater in some women than in others. A Cervical Erosion This is an area of softer tissue near the neck of the womb and it can sometimes bleed. A Cervical Polyp Just like the cerival erosion, a small polyp or benign lump can sometimes be the cause of bleeding or spotting in early pregnancy.
At the end of March this year I had an ultrasound after noticing I'd passed blood, this showed a lump in my uteros and I was given a biopsy 1 month later (I am still waiting for the results), the Doctor who performed the biopsy gave me further appointments, one in June for a scan, a month after the biopsy, then another in July for a hysterscopy, and another in August. I'm a bit worried that its all taking a long time and if its malignant that it could be starting to spread.
