565568 tn?1217333711 Hi! I am 23 years old and have had migraines for a while now. I have been getting odd sensations almost that resemble partial seizures. I had an eeg done and it was normal. I heard that can happen. My dr scheduled me for another eeg because I had seizure activity with lexapro.(anit-anxiety) has anyone had that problem with lexapro? My neurologist said I had Atypical migraines. Basically my headaches do what they want whenever they want.
7359862 tn?1390320080 I had a pressure in my head from Lexapro, but not migraines. Lexapro is known for this side effect.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone. Just thought I would give you my story..I have suffered with migraines most of my life and it was very depressing. About a year ago I started taking lexapro for anxiety and noticed I wasn't getting migraines or headaches..(there is a difference).or very rare times..I did do some research as to why and apparently it's to do with serotonin levels.
Avatar f tn i was wondering if it was alright that i take nadolol and lexapro... or take effexor and nadolol... i have migraines and i think im depressed because of them... so is that ok to take a combination of either of the two..
1046692 tn?1255391835 PLEASE READ THE ADVICE FROM RCA7591 VERY CAREFULLY AND DO NOTHING UNTIL YOU'VE DISCUSSED THIS WITH YOUR DOCOTR(S) IF IT WAS THE SAME DOCTOR WHO PUT YOU ON LEXAPRO AND THEN PRESCRIBED IMETREX..........HE/SHE IS A MORON AND I'D FIND A NEW DOCTOR...........STAT! THIS KIND OF MISTAKE IS UNACCEPTABLE.
Avatar n tn I get symptoms like that all the time, I just got put on lexapro for silent migraines with aura...
Avatar f tn Ziac is for high blood pressure and I doubt you have this at 20! Do you know why it was given to you? Imitrex is for migraines, do you get migraine headaches? Lexapro is used to treat anxiety and obcessive compulsive disorders (OCD). This is where one keeps doing something repeatedly, like handwashing, cleaning, checking locks, etc. People with OCD often have ADHD as well. Lexapro can calm you and help you concentrate, but it doesn't sound like it's working for you.
Avatar f tn ve currently been diagnosed with Neuropathy. I take Lexapro for depression. They added Elavil and Gabapentin to try to alleviate my symptoms. Here goes the fun part, my symptoms. All opinions are welcome and MS does run in my family. I'm a 29 year old female. Right sided pain, numbness, tingling My limbs feel as though they weigh 10x's what they actually do. Strange sharp pains in my neck. Electrical jolt pains throughout my right side.
Avatar f tn Lexapro can be/is used in the treatment of dizzy spells associated with inner ear diseases. About 3 years ago I was experiencing horrible, constant dizzy spells that were debilitating. My rheumatoid arthritis doc referred me to an ear specialist to see if maybe I had something going on with my ears. After tests were performed, the ear specialist determined that I have Endolymphatic Hydrops (similar to Meniere's Disease).
Avatar n tn I know that I suffer from chronic migraines and when mine get really bad I get nausea. That is because next to blacking out nausea is the next most severe reaction our body has to pain. It can also be something else related to a different condition though so you definitely need to see a doctor. Good luck!
1539379 tn?1294332115 I also suffer with migraines so jaw clenching and migraines not a good mix! I also take 05 mg klonopin with clexa in the morning and I feel the klonopin helps more than the celexa with anxiety. that being said I am slowly weaning off the celexa very slowly and see if the klonopin will be enough. the jaw clenching especially at night is not fun. We are all different and hope it works for u!
Avatar f tn I'm sticking to what I said. Migraines can often be handled through techniques like meditation. Depends on you and the severity. I used to get them, started at age 13, and I took what was available way back then, but in my 20s a doc told me to do TM. I was hesitant, but I did and have had 3 full-fledged migraines in the next 40 plus years. Didn't prevent me from getting an anxiety disorder, but it might have.
Avatar n tn the type A migraines with all the neurological side effects. Now I am starting to experience numbness and tingling i my hands and feet and arms and legs. It happens every day at least 5-10 times aa day and may have nothing todo with my migraines, but it is very uncomfortable and frustrating. Just now, it happened in my right hand and when I tried to stretch my thumb out it wouldnt stretch... kind of hard to explain. It felt almost heavy like it was to heavy to lift.

Avatar m tn Hi. I am currently taking Lexapro 10 mg and have been for the last year. I thought it was working good up till 2 months ago. My sex drive has decreased a big amount, i have these migraines that keep getting worst, i'm getting very forgetful (i'm 27), cloudiness in my head that won't go away. I just saw my doc today and he suggested i go on Abilify also. But when i went to the pharmacist he told me it would be $40 a month for the script. I can not afford that.
13762830 tn?1431383399 May I ask what you are on now, I was just switched from celexa to lexapro and it makes me so tired>
591470 tn?1218975186 Maybe as a nurse, if you work in a hospital you can talk to one of the doctors and have them admit you and run the proper test till they found out what is wrong and finally get relief. i will keep you in my prayers.

It has overall been great. Controlled by anxiety except for right before menses.
Avatar f tn I have suffered from migraines for as long as I can remember and after 3 years on my couch having 5-7 weekly, I was declared disabled. As that is great and very helpful, I find myself very depressed as my life style has changed. I can't get up and go like I use to. I take Imetrix shots and pills to abort them and Lyrica to ward them off. Has anyone that has been dignosed "disabled" gotten really depressed?
