453893 tn?1205859801 I had breast implants on August 8th 2007. Seven months later, last week, I had a mammogram which revealed an 8mm nodular density on the upper right breast. This morning an ultrasound confirmed the presence of this white mass, so a biopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow. There is no lump in the breast, only this shadow. This breast is more sensitive and hurts consistently. The scar under the right breast hasn't healed at the same speed of the left breast scar.
Avatar f tn s something that we just have to deal with smh I know some stores I walk in and they just start hurting out of no where like legit pain its horrible !
Avatar n tn There are many possible explanations for pain and/or discomfort. Most breast cancer is not painful. Without evaluation, it is impossible to speculate on what may be causing your discomfort. The only way to get a better idea is to have it evaluated by a doctor.
Avatar n tn ------------------------------------------------------- Vacuum-assisted biopsy (brand names, Mammotome or MIBB) allows physicians to perform accurate breast biopsies on women with breast implants. Prior to the advent of vacuum-assisted biopsy, women with implants typically had to undergo open surgical biopsy if breast cancer was suspected. Unlike surgical biopsy, vacuum-assisted biopsy is a percutaneous ("through the skin") procedure.
Avatar n tn After two years of being constantly ill (fevers/weakness, arm and leg pain, numbness in arms and legs, dizziness, constant nausea, extreme exhaustion, stomach pain, diarrhea/constipation, extreme breast/nipple pain in one breast, overall muscle pain, eye floaters, eye focusing issues. Not a fun situation and, devastating, financially, after doctor/hospital bills, which are ongoing).
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I have breast implants and really don't have alot of soreness. I'm trying to find out if this is normal with breast implants.
Avatar f tn I'm 47 yrs. old, have had a complete hysterectomy 10 yrs ago and have had saline implants for 17 yrs. The passed 3 months I've had breast pain on the left side, mostly upper quadrant and under my left arm. Also burning pain on the right mid area of my left brest. It is sometimes very sharp pain in that area. My breast often feels heavy, but that seems to come and go.
Avatar f tn I got breast implants after my 3rd baby (thinking I was done) but later down the road decided we wanted one more. I know a lot of ppl breast feed and everything with them but I have so much more breast pain since I got pregnant. I'm guessing just the normal changes your boobs go through being pregnant plus those implants in there are causing the pain. But now I'm getting super worried about when milk comes in? Is that just going to be unbearable?
Avatar n tn How bad will radiation be on my implant-would I get new implants after all is done? will the breast getting radiation look lik ethe other one? if I get cancer in the other one can you do a masectomy on the both even thouogh one has been radiated?
7928796 tn?1396351929 Its really different for everyone... I know one woman who breast fed three babies a year a piece with implants and I know another that breast fed her first, got implants and couldn't breast feed her second or third...
Avatar f tn Hi. I am 34 years old and have had saline filled breast implants for 12 years now. For the past few months I have had severe left side chest pain, back pain and left arm tingling. I now have high blood pressure and tachycardia and am on a beta-blocker for this. Recent labs show a high Rheumatoid factor and very high IgG. I am currently under the care of a cardiologist for the chest pain and will be doing further testing soon.
1378404 tn?1278974651 i saw a plastic surgeon not too long ago who specializes in breast implants gone wrong LOL, and he told me he would take off any extra skin that should have been taken off before the implants were put in to begin with, and he would remove these saline implants, give a breast lift and put in new silicone implants of a cup size smaller. this would cost around 15k. i dont have 15k laying around.
Avatar f tn Last surgery was 06/2009. This was my breast reconstruction with silicone implants. After that surgery my fatigue severely increased to the point I could not stay awake at work, in the car, In Sept. I finally was sent for sleep study and DX with severe sleep apnea and PLM. Cpap has helped this alot. Even with Cpap still fatigued at work where I was still falling asleep talking to people and still driving issues. Currently on large doses of Adderall and Pravogil to help me stay awake.
Avatar f tn hi, I had silicone breast implants nearly 6 yrs ago. they are placed under the muscle.. I did not have alot of breast tissue.. I have never been happy with them and I have always had pain. I have al;ways had burning in them, my surgeon was not very helpful.. I moved from england to the US so I have neot been able to afford to have an MRI. I have never been able to wear an underwired bra since having the implants because verytime I wore one I had pain on the outside of the breasts.
Avatar n tn It disappeared when trying to hold it up for a fine needle biopsy and was not visible on ultra sound. A week later I started to have burning pain in this breast. The pain continued and a few months later I developed lymph glands under both arm pits although more on the affected side, small glands in the groin and six months later bilateral half cm submandibular glands. The breast pain persisted and mri scanning showed only a lymph gland or fat blob in the breast.
Avatar f tn I am 50 and recently had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction with an expander and then saline implants. If I had it to do over again I would not do the reconstruction. I have not been comfortable in my own skin since the mastectomy 7 months ago. There has been a lot of pain involved with the expander and also with the implants interacting with my pectoralis muscles. The implants don't look or feel like breasts and they get in the way of my arms.
Avatar f tn You should not have gone for breast implants. See, not everyone are good candidates for breast implants. The surgeon will conduct some physical examinations and then only he allows you to get breast implants. I think you were not a good candidate. It might be the problem while conducting the above mentioned physical examinations that made you a good candidate. A dear friend of mine has had breast augmentation few years back.
Avatar f tn i have pain in my chest under my left breast as well as up under the left side of my ribs, What is it and what should i do
1104206 tn?1407475591 _________________________________________ 2)Silicone breast implants are not intended to last a lifetime and occasionally these devices fatigue and rupture. When this happens, the silicone is usually contained within the fibrous capsule that surrounds the implant.Although removal of ruptured silicone breast implants is not an emergency, most surgeons agree that ruptured implants should be removed as soon as possible.
Avatar f tn Actually, if your nipple still has feeling, the chance are high. Breast augmentation (breast implants) isn't a reason alone not to be able to produce breast milk. Most likely, it depends on the kind of surgery you had, but most approaches are compatible with breastfeeding. Incisions made under the fold of the breast or through the armpit shouldn't cause any trouble. A "Smile" incision around the areola increase your risks of breastfeeding complications.
Avatar n tn The lump when pushed can be moved slightly. I also have slight pain in breast and underarm. I have not noticed any lymph node changes, just pain. I would not be so alarmed by this normally, but my grandmother passed away from breast cancer and also had cervical cancer. My mother has ovarian cancer and died at age 46. Could this possibly be cancerous? My shoulder blade hurts as well. This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
2025592 tn?1348156019 Two days ago i had weird pressure/pain in my chest when i breathed in and it went away. then again today. I am 23 weeks pregnant and i have breast implants. Saline. they dont appear from what i can tell to be leaking or changing shape. im wondering if this is a normal pregnancy pain or if it could be my implants.
Avatar f tn This includes for saline or silicone breast implants. What type do you have? If they are saline, leaking implants are not a risk. And currently, saline implants are what is typically used. Is one breast or both changing in size? That's another way to know if there is an issue with the implant. Do you feel any lumps? Do you do regular breast exams? There is one type of breast plant that has recently been linked to cancer which involves implants that have a textured surface.
