Foot bones moving

Common Questions and Answers about Foot bones moving

The break was noticable right away, upon having the leg xrayed it showed that some bones in the foot were broken as well, and there not sure how long those bones were broken. The bone that was broken was the femur bone. Surgy has been done and a pin was put in place. I am concerned and worried if other complications could arise as a result of this action. You mentioned that blood vessels are at risk of injury from the broken bones, what if anthing could that lead to?
My husband and I just visited the hospital for the big developmental/gender ultrasound and we were thrilled to be blessed with a baby boy, but surprised to hear that he had eight toes on his right foot. We are going back in a month to look again at his bones, as they will be more calcified by then. The doctor said that he looks healthy and everything else was found to be normal, but I can't stop worrying about him.
Yep no matter how much I willed it to move it would not . Foot drop? Can I do anything to stop it ?
A few days ago I had a sensation of the floor vibrating under one foot. Since then I have realized it is my foot. It is felt in bloth feet, one at a time. Never both at the same time. I feel it when I am standing r walking. It is like an intermittent buzzing sensation. It comes in short bursts on after the other then stops. It will happen when walking and I will feel it with every third or fourth step. What could be the cause?
I asked a friend of mine and she suggested that I could have pulled a muscle in my foot. But, when I walk, I can feel my bones moving, kind of like crunching. And a few days ago, i was laying down on the couching and moving my toes to the music I was listening to and I could feel my bones moving as well but it didn't hurt at all. I haven't gone to see a doctor yet. I just would like to know what's wrong, if i should see a doctor or if my foot will just heal itself.
I didn't want to have this done, but recently the pain has increased and this has affected my quality of life. About 5 months ago my four smaller toes began moving on their own. It also feels like my foot has a life of it's own with nerves twitching and cramping and sharp needle pricking sensations. I went for a second opinion and this podiatrist said she strongly disagreed with the metatarsal shortening.
foot elevation helps some but as soon as I start moving around the foot swells up again. I've been told that I may need to go to a rumatologist. Need help.
Sadly, I was just evaluated by an orthopedic dr who says I am not a canidate for muscle/tendon transfer because my injury was at the L5 nerve root. I do not have inversion(moving inward of the foot) which is needed to the tendon needed to move to the anterior tibialis.
I pulled almost all of my own teeth, myself, so I could afford false teeth. On the bottom of my foot, I once had this giant callous on the pad of my foot, below the middle toe. I determined, myself, to remove it at any cost, and so I dug, and dug, and dug. It had an enormous root! going clear to the bone. It is gone for good, now. I removed an unacceptable growth from near the corner of my nose, and I lanced a huge boil from my ear lobe.
Pain management initially included a pain pump for the first 4 days following surgery after that I was on Vicodin for about a week then I switched to Tylenol (extra strength). I have a high tolerance for pain and don't like taking pain meds so don't feel bad if your pain is substancial and requires more. The therapy schedule was pretty intense (and time consuming) 3x week. The visit would involve the following (a lot of what I tell you cxould be done at home with modifications).
We haven’t had a good old mystery diagnosis lately so I thought I would offer up my case history and get your feedback. This is not MS related because it is not a CN problem Pt history: MS Left foot Bunionectomy April 2012 Pulmonary embolism August 2012 Hammer toe – left foot developed 2013 Sx (that’s for symptoms and not sex)- Pain in left foot – got orthotics for relief from hammertoe – helped temporarily but then started to worsen over past six months.
the first guy never mentioned the fact that I had 2 bones messed up in my foot. The Talis and Cuboid. from what the foot guy said that it looked like those two bones collided in my fall and "bruised" both of them. She and her OS showed me the MRI that showed it best that the one bone had chaged color meaning trauma/fracture about 50% of it and the other bone the talis had about 25% change in it.
Also as soon as possible pls get an x-ray or MRI foot(shows soft tissue injuries) done. There are 26 bones in the foot.Without an x-ray it is very difficult to say if there is any bone involved even a hair line fracture.Depending on the bone involved in fracture (which is shown in the x-ray) and the severity of fracture, treatment is different.
Hello! It is very difficult to say as your leg can swell with fractures, ligament damage, tendon tears or muscle sprains around the ankle. Apply ice packs, take NSAIDs, avoid weight bearing and if the inflammation decreases in couple of days it is fine or else an X-ray is essential and also a bandage or brace for immobilization will be required. Take care!
It is a sharp pain whenever I put weight on it, but it also hurts to try to lift my foot up off the floor. Often times it hurts when I am just sitting and not moving. I cannot bend my foot up or down, and have difficulty moving my toes. The Dr. suggested that it could be some type of nerve damage, but I am unsure of what the symptoms are. Any real help or info would be immensely appreciated. Thank you for your time!
Fractures and dislocations of tarsal bones such as navicular are uncommon. Follow up with a podiatrist or a foot specialist. Most of the non displaced fractures can be treated by a below knee plaster and then continue by wearing a boot for a total period of 3-4 months. Go for some X-ray scans and take an appointment with a podiatrist. Take care!
Went backwards, hit my head on a brick, broke at least one toe, soaked in Epsom salts, bloody and foot swollen, butt and side throbbing, goose egg on my elbow. Confused. **** this hurts. Back to like my bike wreck. I feel so awful right now. **** **** ****. Thought I had this under control. Apparently not. My foot hurts so bad. My head is swollen. Kids made me stay up until they were assured I didn't have a concussion. Oh. I forgot how much it hurts to fall. Glad my bones are relatively strong.
i went for xrays last year and it showed that due to my flat feet, the bones on top of my foot, behind my big toes are displacing/moving, hence no arch. I just want to know what is the name or diagnosis for this condition?
I was wearing sandals and walking after that more and more. It is still sore when I walk and I'm slow moving, but doing better. My foot was red for a while. It has been 2 months now. My toe nails on the toes I had surgery on are white. That will get back to normal. I'm sure the colour in your feet will get back to normal too in time. It all depends on the person. I asked my doctor what he did. He told me everything he did for the surgery. They do a lot to the foot, bone, muscles and all.
Hello, I have a distal fibula fracture and was wondering about how long before it'll heal. I had fallen down the stairs of my apt. after moving some stuff, missing a step, landing on right foot, and I couldn't walk afterward. The fall itself didn't hurt me, but I knew immediately my ankle was broken as it was swollen. I have some of the posts about it and it scares me that it may not unite. What is the general outlook for this type of fracture?
I also get the sleepy leg and foot syndrome a lot when I'm not moving around. I'm 30 years old. I do a lot of athletic stuff (skiing, climbing, running, biking), which I've been doing for a long time. What can I do to alleviate these symptoms (the neck discomfort and the prickly-needle sensation in my legs) which tend to show up when I'm am sitting at work?
These sacs reduce friction between moving parts. Most bursitis occurs in the shoulder, but it can occur at the knee, elbow, foot or other areas. Arthritis is painful joints caused by infection or inflammation. The most common is rheumatoid arthritis. It can also be a form of degenerative disease known as osteoarthritis, which usually affects people over 50 years.SO will suggest you to get yourself examined by your physician before they get too much worse. Hope it helps.
This happens due to overuse of the knee or due to injury to the knee while running (as a result of a wrong foot placement or muscle pull), or due to mal-alignment of the bones or due to flat foot or weak thigh muscles. There is pain on bending the knee especially in the front region behind the knee cap and occasional grinding and popping sound. The best treatment is RICE: rest the leg, use ice packs, keep the leg elevated and use compression knee caps or straps.
im still really struggling with facial pain n.tightning in cheek bones . also right sided pain and burning sensations in foot and arm . this is ruining my life iv had a ct scan of brain and am scared to death of going to my mri scan next month ..can anybody help me ?
Yep, this happens to me too especially on the elliptical machine....a chiropractor helps, but also being aware of it so that I'm more focused on moving my feet & weight around on the foot holder of the machine so I don't keep the same amount of pressure on the pads of my feet...I'm much more focused on keeping my weight centered instead of on the front of my feet & that seems to help. HTH!
I was born (keep in mind I'm almost 35) with one foot over top the other foot. My leg and foot needed to be put in a brace to straighten it right away. As from what the Drs told my mom, the bones are soft in a new born and can be shaped and mended correctly. They needed to make a choice quick. They did decide to put my leg and foot in a brace for 12-14 weeks and all was fine. I even started walking at 10 mos, with no problems. I would suggest getting a second opinion though.
Most of the flipping and moving she does isn't anything uncomfortable but yeah she'll give a kick up or down and sometimes even toward my back and then there's this tremendous pain and I have to stop everything. I don't know that I have bruises from her yet but I do have pulled muscles from her dropping now. Each time she drops a little It pulls so much Im out of work for a minimum of 2 days and moving is hard.
But I also have these horrible painful lumps on the tops of my feet. It feels like all my foot bones (in both feet) are broken. Another way to describe it is that it feels like I have very severe bruising on the tops of my feet. (There is a very small bit of bruising on the lump on my right foot) but the pain and lump is on both feet. The weird thing is that noone can tell how excruciating the pain is as I can't really limp - bc it's both of my feet, it looks like I am walking normally...
A few days later, my ankle hurt so much (felt like the bones were broken), its was fine in the morning. A few days later my right foot was hurting, even the toes...like my bones were being crushed. I have been having random pains in my spine as well. Also, I have had some tingling in my feet, I have had some dizzy spells, have been tired and my joints are popping a lot, every time I move they crack which is odd for me. I am so worried I have cancer in my bones...can anyone give me insight?
I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
