wanted me to try low dose Cymbalta for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and did not have the 30 mg samples so i was given the 60 mg with instructions to empty the capsules into food, as this would reduce the dose by approximately half. I became very ill with vomiting and severe diarreah. I was up all night running to the bathroom and was concerned when i looked up information on cymbalta that said not to open capsules.
So do I need to have my Cymbalta adjusted since I take 200 mg daily of Celebrex? I am not on the 60 mg of Cymbalta. I decided to take it for 2 reasons- 1 want my pain to go away and why not at least try it and 2 maybe it will relieve some of my depression (for which I am seeing a counselor) and I guess 3 since my husband doesn't seem to want to really try as much as in the past to have children what can it hurt I thought.

I have been on Cymbalta (60 mg) for over two years for treatment of fibromyalgia/depression/anxiety. I recently went down to 40 mg, and after two days was a basket case. Constant brain zaps, a feeling like my entire brain was bruised, severe body aches, increased anxiety and agitation/aggression (which to me was the most frightening). I went back up to 60 mg. Four days later, I am still experiencing the bruised brain feeling and anxiety.
He met with me and was pretty thorough and reduced my medications from 150 of Levothyoxine to 25 mg. He also suggested I increaes my Cymbalta. I called my doctor today and the nurse told me the reason for the 150 mg was that my family doctor wanted to help me with extra weight loss and thought this might do the trick. I asked about Cymbalta as I am taking 60 mg and he increased it to 120 mg, sort of nervous about this as it is designed at high doses for people with pain. That isn't me.
For 2 days now i have been on 30 mg of Cymbalta this morning my blood pressure and heartrate are doing odd things,i was only on lexapro about 8 days 4 days at 10 mg then down to 5 mg taper i stopped it wed night im wonderign if teh Cymbalta mght be doing this to my blood pressure and heart rate usually my heart rate has been in70s going up over 100 today and i feel all nervous and shaley and kinda dizzy and faint,i put a call into on call dr and the pahrmacy has anyone out there benn on cymblata
In clinical trials of Cymbalta, tremor was not reported at the 20 mg per day dose, but with 60 mg per day or 60 mg twice daily the incidence of tremor was 1% and 5% of the participants respectively.
Frequent neurological side effects of Wellbutrin include tremor. The incidence of tremor is high; roughly 20% of patients reported tremor during clinical trials , compared to about 8% taking a placebo.
is it ok to gradually taper off of cymbalta and slowly add in small amount of zoloft.....i am currently on 30 mg of cymbalta, down from original 60 mg for quite a few years.....my neurologist wants me to compl etely stop the cymbalta and start on 50 mg of zoloft, which i do not want to do because of the horrible cymbalta withdrawal, which i am already experiencing at 30mg.....
I am switching from Paxil to Cymbalta, and am down from 30 mg of Paxil to 5 mg, and then up to 60 mg of Cymbalta. I feel like I am having a racing heart/palpitations. I am not sure if it's anxiety, Paxil withdrawal, side effects from Cymbalta, or there is something wrong with my heart. Has anyone switched from Paxil to Cymbalta (weaning off/increasing at same time.) If so, did you have any issues? Thank you so much!
My daughter is on her 11th day of Cymbalta, started at 30 mg forr 6 days then up to 60 mg. She is noticing some symptoms that she didn't have before starting it, and it has seemed to help her old symptoms slightly. We will give it another week or so to see how much it will help. Before that 6 weeks of Celexa did nothing for her.
I have been on a combination of Wellbutrin (300 mg XL 1x/day), Cymbalta (30 mg 1x/day) and Geodon (20mg 1x/day). I also take 1500 mg Tyrosine 2x/day that has worked wonders. I have been experiencing a lot of anxiety lately that stays with me all day, and a little depression and irritability. I have been taking .5 mg Ativan as needed and I seem to need it almost every day.
For example if you have 250 granules on a 60mg Cymbalta capsules that means that about 4 granules represents 1 mg. This is just an example, I don't know how many granules you have in your capsules and I am assuming you are on 60 mg caspules. So, if you want a reduction of 5% you have to tak off 3mg from your 60mg capsules that would be more or less 12 granules. You can keep the granules that you are eliminating to make new doses. I know it is confusing but all is a matter of math.
