Common Questions and Answers about Coughing when you talk

coughing

Avatar n tn I'm experiencing chronic coughing, especially when I talk. I had a lobectomy one year ago. Does anyone know what this is?
Avatar f tn Yeah you probably did it from the coughing. If youre concerned though call your dr for sure or just talk to your dr when you go in.
Avatar f tn if you take robitussin or mucinex my doctor said its better to take the "DM" kind, and take only about half of the recommended dose
Avatar f tn im suffering from back pain now for 3 weeks already. when i cough my upper back is aching and also when i take a deep breath. i don't cough really hard, i only cough when i take deep breath and that also my upper back ache. does my back pain is related with the coughing? do i need to go to my doctor already? my back pain is getting worst especially when i try to lift heavy things. does this mean there's something wrong with my lungs? do i need to have an x-ray?
Avatar f tn For the past 9 months I have been coughing when I talk and breathe I have a coughing fit my Dr sending me to have a breathing test I told my Dr it's my throat when I swallow I can feel something.
Avatar f tn At first I would cough when I would try to talk and could not finish my sentence without coughing in the middle of talking. My family got worried and I went to the doctor and gave me some cough medicine and did a chest xray that came negative. Now my symptoms are more consistent in which I cough just as I wake up and after the last cough I would gag like my body would want to vomit, and this happens every morning.
Avatar f tn you should talk to a doctor about the possibility of ventolin or other medication. Although the best would be to avoid the area while the work is going on. Hope you feel better soon!
Avatar m tn s getting nasty and you may need some sort of antibiotic to help treat it. Also (in the future) you need to be wary any time you have a fever that high, if it sticks around for more than a day or two you should see a dr.
Avatar n tn unlike in a one-on-one conversation, in a conference call you might be able to mute and unmute your phone while others talk. That way you can experiment and see if they only react when your microphone is not muted. That would be evidence that PATM gets captured through the mic, digitalized and transmitted through broadband. Everyone who has video or audio conference calls should experiment with muting the mic and see if reactions happen only when unmuted.
Avatar f tn I have had a cough ever since i became pregnant, it still wont go away i have been sick the past 6 weeks with coughing, runny nose and sore throat, could this affect the baby? And how can i get rid of it?
Avatar f tn The chronic cough and shortness of breath are common side effects of Inf/Riba. You might talk to your doctor about taking an antihistamine to reduce the post nasal drip and cough reflex. I take claritin which helps this. Also, I see you're able to post under your original name so good to see you got your posting problems worked out. http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.com/2010/10/chronic-coughpegylated.
Avatar f tn I've had this really bad cough for like 2 weeks n it just gets worse n worse to the point where I start losing air cuz I can't stop coughing. My mom thinks I might have bronchitis.. sadly I had to Google it because I didn't know what that was. N now I'm freaking out..
Avatar n tn I have been coughing for about 7 years. I have been to 3 doctors and been on meds for post nasal drip, asthma. I had my thyroid out in Oct; because it was enlarged and closing up my trachia but that didn't help. Have had xrays and cat scans and everything looks good. It seems to coming from my throat area. sometimes i cough so hard that i almost pass out. I'm really at wits end. Any suggestions?

Avatar m tn I have been to the Primary doctor and Emergency room both said I was not in afib currently. Another words, when do you know when to stop taking the medications? In Nov 2013, I have Aortic heart valve replacement and a maze procedure. My old cardiologist wanted to do a cardioversion but I didn't want it, so I had to change Cardiologist. I am having some issues. My doctors including specialist cannot figure out what is wrong.
1756475 tn?1330538713 I have a 12yr old yellow lab and over the last few months she got a really bad cough. the vet said it was not the worse that he has seen but he said there wasnt' anything we could do about it. She's 12 and before the cough you wouldn't even know how old she was. Over the last 2 days she has suddenly lost the ability to control her bladder and if its not that she is puking everywhere. She's been coughing and passing gas for a while but now it's not just gas.
Avatar f tn DId you mean bronchitis? If that's the case, then once his coughing clears up, I"m pretty sure this fainting thing will clear up too, or rarely happen. It's probably a sensitive point for him that has been brought out by the infection.
Avatar n tn You know your pregnant when.......
Avatar f tn m not a medical doctor but here is my opinion on some of things things you mentioned you could possibly have: pneumonia: its possible, but pneumonia is relatively uncommon influenza (flu) - unlikely. You would have rapid onset of symptoms w/ high grade fever common cold - definitely possible bronchitis - not sure emphysema - not sure asthma - this would be secondary to a primary illness. Asthma constricts airway but doesnt cause fever, running noise etc. etc.
Avatar f tn I am so glad I ran across this forum. Has anyone found a cure for this horrible life changin cough yet? My story is just like all the stories I've read in this forum so there is no need me repeating what I am going through. This has been going on for 5 months. I can't take it anymore. I can't talk without coughing and am peeing all over myself. I have to wear diapers 24/7. I have not insurance and no job so I can't go to all the specialist that can help me.
Avatar m tn Why do I have this cough??? I honestly think it was stress/anxiety related. Could be the same for you. You say when you are relaxed and not thinking about it you aren't coughing. You may be overthinking it. Are you on any meds or have you ever discussed them with your doctor? Or is this a one time anxiety thing due to some type of risk?
Avatar m tn before i stopped smoking i was coughing alot through the day,now i breath eazier, cough a few times through the day,its a dry cough, when do your lung start cleaning the **** out, arent you ment to start coughing your lungs out when u stop smoking?
250701 tn?1320974765 Good luck to you on the smoking. I cannot believe you were teaching full time while on treatment and smoking as well. You must have a very strong constitution. You are very fortunate for that. You know the drill about smoking...it is deadly. Having said that as a former smoker who still longs to smoke, I think you are wise to tackle one thing at a time. Clear the virus, rebuild your health. Later there are things you can try to help you quit. All the best to you.
Avatar f tn When you get mad because you're pants didn't dry all the way
2199283 tn?1338585841 Mostly you are asleep, coughing wakes you up, you sit up, you start coughing, coughing, coughing, then suddenly it feels as if your windpipe closes and you breathe, talk, swallow, anything!! This lasts up to 30-35 seconds (which seems like forever). It is very frightening! Eventually you can draw in small breaths and the episode subsides...... Has anyone heard of this? Please, please answer me. I've been looking for the people who wrote in before.
Avatar n tn Hi I smokie 1-2 packs per week and alot of marijuana I have Uncontrollable coughing, chest pain, and headaches from all the coughing can someone help me?
Avatar f tn I also got coughing so hard I coughed up/vommited mucous 3 times and it was very thick. When I start coughing it's hard to stop and I feel like i can't breath. This morning I thought it might have gone away and I feel a little better but I still can't take a full deep breath without coughing, I've looked up symptoms and think it might possibly be bronchitis?
