seroquel

398920 tn?1218779347 ) That is a large jump to go from 100mg up to 300mg. The only thing you might notice more in the beginning is the sedating effect of the medicine - but it eventually goes away as your body adjusts. If you have questions about the medication, be sure to talk to your doctor about them. As I got better, the dosage of Seroquel was decreased and I am now on 200mg and doing well. Seroquel worked wonders for me and I hope it helps you as well.
Avatar f tn If the side effects are more than you can handle, it's time to talk to your psychiatrist about it.
Avatar m tn Can hemorrhoids kill you? I have one and it's causing me to bleed a lot from my rectum. But it stops after a few minutes. But every time I take a dump it makes it bleed again!

Avatar f tn Can u eat deli meats from the store In the deli if you pregnant just curious?
Avatar f tn The first question would be, do you actually have bipolar disorder? It's overdiagnosed. Did a psychiatrist or psychologist diagnose you or a regular doc? Because if that's not what you have, yes, Seroquel has as a side effect that it's very sedating, but when you take drugs for psychoses and you're not psychotic they can cause all kinds of odd side effects. And any drug that affects the brain can have odd effects on a particular individual.
Avatar f tn Are you underweight or have an eating disorder? If not, ask your doctor if there's another medication that will do the same thing, without causing weight gain. If he refuses to consider anything else, you might want to look into getting a different doctor.
563541 tn?1257877567 google it jen..it is for bi-polar and manic depression...it can make you sleepy. it says not to take it with heart or blood pressure meds.
Avatar n tn Yes, they just want you to heat it up first to kill any Bacteria that might be on it. For instance, I now get my subs toasted at subway.
574118 tn?1305135284 With straight bipolar Seroquel being an FDA approved mood stabilizer should work at a therapeutic dose. You can see if at a proper dose you can tolerate the akathesia. Akineton does work but it is one of many side effect pills. You can see if it works for you.
1965148 tn?1354978634 I finally got given some medication for my illness im on seroquel ive been on it for 3 days and the side effects are killing me already, but my moods keep changing, one minute im frustrated and irritated then im all laughs with everyone and in a good mood. Is this meant to happen or am i going through rapid cycling? I thought i was only ment to have side effects but it looks like it affecting my moods too...
Avatar f tn Wow that's a lot of weight lost! Did you replace the Seroquel with another med?
574118 tn?1305135284 Your seroquel dosing is...odd. Below about 100 mg, it's almost exclusively acting as an antihistamine, not an antipsychotic, which is why you see people on 25 mg for sleep. Risperidone is also a mood stabilizer, but you're on a very low dose of that as well. Perhaps increasing to a therapeutic level of Seroquel or risperidone would be enough (generally better to go up on a med if you can rather than add something new).
Avatar m tn My new psychiatrist switched me to Seroquel 100mg which I started taking on March 20, 2009. My question is can Seroquel help me on my Klonopin withdrawal? There were nights I can't sleep. I read an article that Antipsychotics should be avoided may aggravate benzodiazepine withdrawal. Please read: http://www.bcnc.org.uk/drugs.html. I am scared, please help.
Avatar f tn It's not a matter of not having stress anymore, it's whether you need an MS or not and the 25mg of seroquel does it for you at least. If you are not bipolar then I totally agree with you, but if yu are one then it's a different issue altogether. If you are BP then you shall need an MS whether an AP like seroquel or an AC like lamictal say etc...
Avatar f tn Weight gain with Seroquel can start pretty quick but you may not notice it for a little while. By the tie you have noticed it a lot of times you will feel defeated or insecure about it. It is a lot harder to prevent things when they are small rather than try to shrink them once they have grown.
Avatar f tn She was starting have nightmare regarding death, and her medication was changed to seroquel. About 3 to 4 weeks after starting seroquel she had a seizure ( 1 at home and 2 in the hospital). She was taken off the seroquel and but on Lamitcal and has had 5 more seizures. Is her bipolar disorder causing the seizures?
6653958 tn?1395759593 It really depends on the condition you are in and how your illness effects you. I was on Seroquel Xr for 10 months and it fixed me up, but destroyed my personal life completely. Made me entirely robotic, so I decided it just wasn't worth it. Generally a mixture of either lamictal or lithium and another anticonvulsant is required, once you've balanced out, to maintain a healthy balance.
1278098 tn?1297646373 incidentally, is seroquel the only drug you are taking or along with antidepressants. because yes it can trigger mania if you reduce the dose all of a sudden. in fact nobody can tell with certainty because with BP1 one is more vulnerable to becoming manic. This occurred to me, i reduced my seroquel and was on an AD so i got manic which lasted for 8 months. If not for the cessation of the seroquel i might have not have turned manic.
