Also the moisturizer may seem unnecessary if your skin is already oily but if your skin is not getting the moisture it needs, your body tells your oil producing skin cells to work overtime and produce more, therefore causing oily skin. So giving your skin proper moisture will actually cause your skin to have to produce less oils making your skin not as oily. Now that goes for your hair too.
Hi Doc. I apply a green tea facial toner to my face regularly and yesterday, I found that the inner surface of the lid had a reddish brown lining which immediately made me think it should probably be due to oxidation. I applied it all over my face even over an open slightly bleeding pimple. Then it struck me what if it has been blood that was trapped inside the lid and since I stayed at my neighbor's home, I got even more worried about the possibilities.
Though, just for full disclosure, when you dab the toner on the dry skin, it burns terribly. Badly enough that I start tearing. But only for 5 seconds or so. There aren't any other ill effects, but this is really worth a try if you suffer from this. Nothing else has ever worked for me, and it really saves the discomfort if days and weeks of dry skin around your nose.
What brand of soap is best and I use a toner for sensitive skin is that one ok?..
Hi, I would like to get some advice about my skin. About a year ago, I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic resulting in vomiting, high body temperature, swelling of mouth etc. It resulted in lots of burst capillaries on my face. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but since then, my skin has changed drastically where all the pores on my skin are permanently open, not only on my face but on my body too.
Im 24 weeks pregnant and I feel my face is getting ugly and dirty so I want to use facial toner but not the peeling one just to clean my face.. is it harmful for my baby? And can I use cream too?
Has anyone else's skin been extremely oily since getting pregnant? I wash my face in the morning and night with ckean n clear for sensitive skin and also use cera ve lotion. Im constantly going through those oil absorbing sheets. I cant seem to get it under control!

Ever since I got prego my skin cleared up soo much I used to break out all the time and it seemed like my skin was finally acne free...untill now....people always said my skin was glowing even tho I never saw it lol....well now my chin seems to be acting up ..I'm getting breakouts aroubg my right side of the chin its not too bad but I'm bummed because I was enjoying my clear skin..could this possibly mean that I'm stressing out too much?? Or is it just the dumb hormones?
I put this mask on my face yesterday for 10 minutes to help my dry skin. i rinsed it off after 10 minutes like it said to do but when i did i got red splotches all over my face and my face became even more dry. i can't even touch my face without it hurting, and i need a way to make this rash, or whatever it is, on my face go away. i have really sensitive skin, which could be one of the reasons this happened. thanks so much!!

You're skin is very similar to mine. If you have sensitive skin, you need to use products that are meant for sensitive skin above all others. Don't layer multiple products meant for treating acneic skin, which will make matters worse for sensitive skin. Multiple acneic treatments that strip your skin's natural oils will leave dead skin cells on the surface and lead to more clogged pores.
However, It will heal by itself after a week or less when I put on lot of toner and aloe Vera gel to keep the area moisture. Do anyone face the same problem as me or know what is this acne name or is this a acne or other skin infection problem? Kindly advise. Thank you!
I had problems with breaking out too. I started using Dove soap for sensitive skin just for my face and it helps a lot. I would also use Olay facial moisturizer but less than prepregnancy.
