For me (not a doctor) my allergies are the strongest factor for my asthma. My asthma isn't that bad if you take away my allergies. Each person is different, however you asked "Do you think allergies could play a role?" It is absolutely possible.

I have been suffering from sudden onset of palpitations,and weakness. this is accompanied by pressure in the chest and pain in my left arm. I have been treated for GER and SVT with an ablation. I have an ECHO, and stress tests, EKG's , and holter monitors. all are normal. The symptoms start with a tingling in my face, then I have a flushing feeling, followed by palpitations, pounding heartbeat, chest pressure and pain down my left arm. all labs and EKG's are normal.

red itchy eyes when i wake up, clear/white mucous from the nose and sometimes phlegm. This has been the 1st year I have had any allergy type symptoms. Preceding these allergies was a year of little sleep, excessive caffeine usage, and some alcohol use. Not to mention my diet was pretty terrible consisting of fast food. Earlier this year when I was about 20 pounds heavier I started having pains in my abdomen.

I have been avoiding all of my allergies since April 10, 2008. I haven't had anything, nor touched anything with those foods in it. I didn't have any serious childhood diseases and I hadn't changed my diet when this all happened.

I have had many symptoms and I am wondering if all I have is just allergies. My symptoms are mental confusion, always tired no matter how long I sleep, pressure in my head, eyes hurt, have eye floaters sometimes. These are my main symptoms. I am a smoker as well so I dont know if that could have anything to do with how I feel. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I was diagnosed with AOA about a year ago, the summer after I graduated high school after what I thought were asthma attacks ( I have had severe asthma since birth ) kept progressively getting worse and worse until I was tested for allergies. I'm allergic to things I've eaten my whole life, and the list is long. About 4 weeks ago, I developed symptoms that resembled bronchitis or some form of viral infection. I have been through a lot of different things the past 5 months - anxiety, stressed to the gills, etc- so I'm almost waiting to get sick because I imagine my immune system is fried at this point. So, I went to the doctor concerned about bronchitis and he did a COVID test that came back negative. He said my lungs sounded clear. No fever whatsoever.

Hello, about 4 months ago my son, husband and I have noticed a sudden onset of joint noise. My shoulders feel like they slip but other than it is body wide joint noise without other symptoms (right now). It is strand we all have the same joint noise! elbows, ankles, toes, fingers, back, neck.I was thinking it was a environmental issue something in our home...... I tested our water.. good. No mold that I can see in our home. I ruled out mold because we have no allergies or breathing issues.

Female, 30yrs, 185lbs, 5'4. No history of drug use, 3 years tobacco free, 4 years alcohol free. Patient has been experiencing localized pressure/pain in the right side of neck/throat and head. Lymph nodes are some what enlarged, there is a palpable mass in the back of neck where the spine meets the base of head. Onset color change in gums, and a soft fleshy like lesion has appeared near tonsil on the right side and is continuing to grow.

I have allergies to dust, pet dander, mold, and a bunch of other things. Right now I am suffering at night I either have a cold or I am having an allergy attack. I am seeing a pulmonary doc but, I am between apointments and I have no idea what to do about the symptoms I am having. I have a runny nose and sinus pressure. I am nervous because last time I had these symptoms I ended up in the ER with an asthma attack. This time I would like to try and prevent this from happening.

Two of the doctors did say her nose was red and inflamed, so she is also being treated for a sinus infection. I know allergies are horrible right now, but she had no symptoms of allergies prior to this (she is on Zyrtec). My concern is the fact that she will respond well to the medications and then she will have a bad flare up. Her pulse ox is always fine and a chest X-Ray came back normal. Even if it was symptoms due to an incubation of 7 days (given that I caught something 7 days prior), it should not be so sudden. - Due to its sudden onset I am thinking something must have entered my body over the span of time at the dinner party but no one else experienced any such symptoms. - Does anyone know what this could be? Any input or advice would be helpful.
