Common Questions and Answers about Allergies symptoms low fever

1949068 tn?1449628519 I never had a fever in my life that lingered like this.I have tried everything to break this nasty low grade fever of mine. Taking cool/cold baths, fever reducing meds (Ibuprofen)--still does not work. Calms the fever down for a while, then comes right back. And including using a cool compress on my forehead & eye area--that does not work either. Only for a few--which is a great relieve! Do you think the infection has spread else where? or I might have something else going on in my body?
Avatar n tn I am having symptoms of Hay Fever, never had allergies prior, I figure would HIV alter the immune system and then I would have allergic reaction ? My Recent CBC was okay: WBC: 6.1 ( low ) Lymph: 37% ( Low ) Monocyte: 11 ( high ) MPV: 7.5 ( L ) I know HIV causes Lympocytes to go down. Having so many symptoms..Hate the allergies type of feeling...
Avatar m tn Other causes for these symptoms are inner ear infections; brain disorders heart problems, fever, stress, low blood pressure and anxiety. Please consult your GP who will examine you and may ask for blood tests for evaluating blood sugar and CBC. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn If you are still having a fever, I would consider calling your physician, as it appears that the antibiotic is not working. If you are congested, then you might want to try a product that helps me. It is called NeilMed Sinus Rinse. The product is inexpensive and available at most drug stores.
Avatar f tn I am beginning to wonder, does my son sound like he have allergies? Or is it a viral cold? His nasal drainage is clear and his fever is low. Our symptoms are similar, but now I am beginning to wonder if it sounds like allergies? If it is allergies, can he take any medication for it? Or are we just going to have to deal with it like the doctor ordered?
Avatar m tn I've been suffering with chronic sinusitis for almost a year and a half - long story short, I ended up with sinus surgery and having tonsils removed. Bad, bad situation - couldn't swallow, couldn't eat, lost a ton of weight etc., etc. I've been doing better but I just can't get my appetite back and my stomach is contantly sick. Dr. says that all will heal in time but it is frustrating.
Avatar f tn Zyrtec is fine. My doctor actually suggested Flonase.
Avatar f tn Any way she now has a case of thrush in her mouth, and has had a low grade fever since this whole thing began. She is also teething (two lower molars) and has sneezing and a runny nose. Day care keeps sending her home because they won't keep a baby with a temp over 100. It's been up and down from 99 to 100.9. When she had the urinary tract infection it got as high as 102 to 104. She just went back to pediatrician yesterday. Lungs are clear, ears are fine, etc.
1472764 tn?1287588186 I am almost 7 weeks prego (thur) I am really sick with cough, low fever & now have laryngitis. I went to 2 different Dr's & am told I can't take ANYTHING. I am drinking tea with honey & wishing/hoping that will do the trick. Make sure whatever you take is approved by your Dr.
Avatar f tn Kind of random question, but I've read that flu-like symptoms (including fever) accompany an outbreak. Could a fever without any other symptoms (ie lesions or blisters) be indicative of an infection? In other words, for a first time outbreak, can the symptoms include fever (without muscle aches) but not actual sores? Thanks.
Avatar m tn One of my kids has wicked allergies. I have Fall allergies which they normally call hay fever as does he but he also has a flare of spring allergies. Our allergist said this is from blooming plants, leaves budding out on trees, etc. They are emitting things that they do so less during the warmer summer months. Do you use anything like claritan? My son uses that and a saline nasal wash. It helps.
Avatar f tn About three weeks ago I had a low grade fever and a sore throat to go with it. The next day my fever was gone but I still had the sore throat. All the while I was suffering from body aches. About four days later I went to the doctor and they gave me doxycycline (b/c I'm allergic to pennicillen). I took this for ten days and it cleared right up. Then, four days after I came off of the antibiotics my sore throat is back?!?!?
Avatar n tn Hello, As you are having allergies to dust mites,so asbestos fibers when suspended in the air and inhaled can cause such symptoms that you are having. This is because you are already having allergies to dust mites which makes you predisposed to hay fever. Hay fever, like all allergic reactions, is caused by allergens, foreign "invaders" that enter your body by inhalation, by swallowing, or through your skin.
Avatar f tn Kissing is zero risk for STDs, and receiving oral sex is low risk -- not completely risk free, but much lower risk than unprotected vaginal or anal sex. You can't catch a sore throat from an infection acquired through your genital tract. If your sore throat and fever have anything to do with this sexual exposure, it's most likely you just caught a garden variety cold or other respiratory virus by kissing. Or maybe allergy, although that isn't likely to cause fever.
Avatar n tn Many times this is accompanied by a sore throat. These symptoms will usually last for 2-3 days. During this 2-3 day period his fever will spike at 103 and sometimes 104. We use fever reducing medicines to treat him. We have taken him in to a Dr. several times and blood tests don't show anything. What could be causing this? A virus of some sort? This recurring pattern concerns us and we're not sure what it could be or if we need to pursue further medical tests.
