I'm 12 weeks today not sure if I can take anything normally i would take lysine but everything I read says it's not safe for pregnancy I keep getting these fever blisters. I'm not sure if it's from stress or my immune system low.
Background; I was sexually active w/a man that contracted HSV2 over 20 years ago. We had unprotected oral and vaginal intercourse Jan 26/13. Jan 28th I developed two "fever blisters" on the inside of my top lip. I also had the typical symptoms of flu, body ache, swollen glands/genitalia howerever, no pain in the mouth or genital area or outbreak.

If fever blisters erupt, they should be kept clean and dry to prevent bacterial infections. Refrain from touching the sores and spreading the virus to new sites, such as the eyes and genitals. It is also important to wash hands after eating or touching the lesion. Ice applied directly to the cold sore site prior to the eruption of a blister may reduce the potential swelling.
t get any cluster of blisters in anywhere of my body so i checked with dermatologist he told me its chicken pox then two days later it becomes red some more tiny blisters appears and scap over they were red in colour but previous ones were still water filled only few were bit big. After taking acyclovir for 3days no new blisters appeared but after two days i got one in face then i cont.. medication for two more days that becomes 8 days then after also big ones didnt drain and scap over.

I just had my primary outbreak (I think) of oral herpes. I used acyclovir, and I believe it was 4 days I was given a one day treatment of Valtrex. 4 pills 2 times in one day, in all 8 pills. I can't remember what size they were. My blisters have improved dramatically, and the swelling in my lip seems to have completely subsided. My question is this. After having taken the valtrex, am I know much less contagious? Let me be more clear.
My initial outbreak was just one painful blister that quickly disappeared with a course of Acyclovir for 5 days. Since then I had some more outbreaks near the top of my penis, which to be honest weren't really that bad and I managed to get rid of them quite fast with Acyclovir. Since I had outbreaks quite often, I was prescribed suppressive treatment of two 200mg Acyclovir tablets per day.
Most articles online state that outbreaks typically get less significant and frequent over time.
I started to develop symptoms of whitlow plus a fever. At the time I assumed that the swollen finger was a bacterial infection and was just fighting a cold.
I used a regular bandage over the wound. During my fever, every time I blew my nose I would be using my infected hand most of the time.
I now have blisters on my nose from possible contamination from my finger.
I do NOT have any sores/blisters on my genitals. I have blisters on my tongue, lips, and nose.

I posted a question in STD forum but should've posted here. I'm at day 5.5 but have been dealing with swollen glands and an agitated sore throat from 24 hrs after the encounter til now. Tested neg for hsv 1&2 in early March. No blisters yet but I feel like in in the "waiting period" for them. Does this sound bad to you?
high fever, sweats, light sensitive, confusion, stiff neck, flu like symptoms. The stiff neck and fever were remarkable. Initially, I had blisters on my forehead along with my genital otbks. Yr later I wld rarely got g otbks. Instead, I would get g neuralgia and a rash on my skin. The rash looked like clusters of tiny blisters that trailed away. Something like the number 9- anywhere from 2"-10" in length. This has happened at least 30+ Xs.
I have oral HSV 1. I normally take Acyclovir for suppression, but about a month ago I ran out of my prescription, developed a cold sore, and transmitted HSV 1 it to my boyfriend via oral sex (which we both thought was impossible.) I have been in a relationship with a girl who has had HSV-1 since she was a child and suffers from periodic oral fever blisters. Back in January (January 13, 2013) I experienced a potential outbreak. An area on the right side of my penis near the head became swollen and within 24 hours blisters developed. Approximately five or six blisters. I went to the doctor who only looked at the blisters and said they looked like "herpetic lesions".
The next time you have an outbreak try to go to a doctor to make sure thats the diagnosis....and get a prescription (with continual refills!) for Acyclovir (Generic for Valtrex). Acyclovir is not expensive but Valtrex is. Name brand is always more. When taken regularly it can prevent outbreaks, I havent had one in over 15 years and I take one a day. If you do have an outbreak you take a stronger dose and it clears it up much faster with less pain.
My urgent care provider prescribed Acyclovir for 7 days and pain medication. I completed the medication for the 7 days. I saw my physician on 8/25 and he told me that it was healing nicely. On 8/27 it felt like it was coming back, so I saw my physician a second time. The evening before, I called the urgent care clinic that I went to on 8/14 and they prescribed Acyclovir a second time for 10 days.
I had a severe herpes outbreak (8 blisters everywhere) beginning April 24 when my eye doctor took me off of Acyclovir after nine years. i went to the local clinic and the doctor told me it was herpes by looking at it, and gave me acyclovir 200g 4x a day for a week it cured my ulcers before the week is finished. on june 2013 i have another ulcers outbreak this time with a fever and its only on top and under my tongue. its mild compare to the first outbreak.i took acyclovir and it help to cure the ulcers. im having second though if it is really herpes. i dont see any blister forming before the ulcers appear.
I felt like I was getting the flu.. I woke Sunday with a fever and still very itchy arms... My fever broke later that day and after that I noticed that I had a rash all over my body (tiny little red bumps filled with fluid) and was itching.. Went to ER and that Dr. told me it was a viral infection rash... On Monday I was still itching so bad I went to the clinic and that Dr advised me that I had Chicken Pox....I feel bad... the dose of acyclovir for an ob should be either 400mg 3x/day for 10 days or 200mg 5x/day for 10 days. please check your dose on your prescription to see if you were prescribed the proper dose.
As I said, I think the provider you saw guessed and guessed wrongly.
You have a history of hsv1 orally already so even if a blood test is + for hsv1 the next time you get one, it's not going to accurately reflect a genital hsv1 infection.
Why were you given acyclovir to take? You really haven't provided any testing details except for your blood test. Did they do a swab of your rash?

I posted last month when my daughter had an ob and I was questioning ways of transmission. She was on acyclovir for 10 days and this ob was much less severe than the initial one. This past week, approximately 2 weeks or so from the start of her last ob, her twin brother was running a fever and said his throat was scratchy. The fever started Tuesday and would go down or away after a dose of ibuprofen. By Friday, he was better and almost back to himself.
