Allergies usually come from the mom, and just because the mom is allergic to something, doesn't mean the child will be allergic to the exact same thing - just that the child has a higher chance for allergies. I'm allergic to 7 meds; my kids are not allergic to any meds that we know of, but my daughter has 3 food allergies.
My son is 6yrs old., yesterday, on him, I noticed these little pimple like dots ALL over his tounge also alligator scaley skin from head to toe, worse on the back of his hands & top of his feet. He said for a bit that he was itchy, also that his tounge felt swollen (which it was a little). I took him to the doctors this morning, where they assumed it had to be a form of strep throat....which they tested & it isn't.
I did what the MD told me to do in this very forum, which was to take some zyrtec for the allergy, and it went away in a couple of days.
Now, I'm not saying you definitely have the same thing, but try it and see what happens. My allergy was from being on the golf course, although I think my ball was allergic to me, it was the pesticides they use on the grass that got me.
I am a major allergy sufferer! Clarifying and Zyrtec are safe to take. However! Do not get the ones with the "D" added onto them (claritin d) because that is either not studied enough yet or not recommended. I take claritin as needed. "They" say it might be bad for allergies this spring with the late start. Exercise indoors. Take care and hopeb this is helpful. We are also allowed Benadryl but that you would need to call about. ...
has zyrtec been banned,i cant find it anywhere,if it has been banned then wot was the reason?
Sorry just want to vent anyways my baby shower is next weekend and I mentioned to my mother-in-law I wanted to get my husband a thoughtful gift well what does she do she bought custom made golf balls with engraving on them for my husband which I cant afford she said they were 70 dollars and she can't wait to give the to him.
I got the ok on zyrtec during pregnancy from my allergist, OB, and pharmacist. I am positive that zyrtec is ok.
t a good candidate right now. The tumor is the size of a golf ball and they are hoping that the chemo shrinks the tumor and she will be in better health for the removal. From everything I am reading, Stage 3 is pretty far advanced and I am afraid about the future prognosis. She is keeping me in the loop but sometimes I feel like she is keeping something back from me. I try to ask her gently what is going on, but every time I do she gets aggravated with me and feels like I am attacking her.

Ok, I am 12 weeks pregnant and I've been getting really annoyed by my mom and brother telling me things I cant do. I'd like some advice or opinions.
1. My mom and sister in law saw no baths. They said the warm water can raise my blood pressure and harm the baby. So I layed in cool water. My mom got upset because she thinks that can hurt the baby, but I see nothing wrong because it would be no different than being in a pool right?
2. No riding on ATVs.
Take benadryl and/or zyrtec at night, until you get them taken care of. You are probably allergic to their saliva.
I was told to take zyrtec. Now I have a rash on my upper thighs. Is it the generic zyrtec? Would the regular Zyrtec do the same? Have you ever heard of Diamox being prescribed for Meneire's disease? I find nothing in the literature about it and am hesitant to take it as it makes me very tired. I need to sleep about 3 hours a day when I take it. I don't want to experience vertigo again.
m a stay at home mom with a similar (but not exact) experience to your daughter, so take my suggestion for what it's worth.
I had chronic hives since childhood. It was undiagnosed until my 20s. My new allergist said people with dermagraphism (my form of chronic hives) was frequently a side symptom of an auto-immune disease. He tested me for 6 different ones, and I came back positive for Hashimotos (my immune system attacks my thyroid).
