Zoloft withdrawal headache

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft withdrawal headache

zoloft

Avatar f tn I used the exact same tapering schedule to wean myself off Zoloft. In my case, I didn't experience any withdrawal effects.
Avatar m tn I have been taking zoloft 50mg in the mornings for over a month now. I get a headache every night around 5pm and then I notice my ears ringing. What is going on. I didnt use to get the headaches or the ear ringing.
Avatar n tn I had no choice but to go back on and tapering did not help. I had months withdrawal even taking Zoloft. My opioid withdrawal lasted 3 days and was not as severe.
Avatar n tn Thank you so much! Today I had a 99.6 fever and bad headaches that are some of the worse headaches that I've had. I've had some trembling in the hands. I'm sleeping well because of the Elavil I am on which is also for depression and neuropathy. It's helped a lot since she switched me. I'm on the highest dose of Zoloft and normally you start out lower. I will feel aweful in the morning and 30mins after taking the Zoloft I feel much better. So it is definitely helping.
761614 tn?1234300320 Anti-depressants, such as Zoloft do not normally present significant withdrawal symptoms, but, as with any psychotropic medication it's best to seek to advice of your physician before discontinuing it. If you choose to do so without the advice of a doctor, it is best to slowly reuce your dosage each week until such time you are completely free from the drug. You may still experience strange sensations, such as dizziness, sweats, confusion, etc.
Avatar f tn I would not recommend Zoloft. On another Depression web site, there's a long thread about how bad the withdrawal symptoms are from it. I have chronic pain and I've done the opiate withdrawal and IT *****! I would like to get off my pain meds but it's either just been too hard or I have too much pain. Can't win, but less would be better. Therefore, the Zoloft my PCP doc recently prescribed I am not going to take.....took it for a week and then saw those posts! Wow!
94902 tn?1330479667 t help but to think - what if its something else and not the Zoloft withdrawal. Anyone had experience coming off of Zoloft? Or had the funny head feelings that I mentioned above? Any comments would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn I have been taking 200mg of Zoloft for two years everyday. I am going to start getting off of them soon. What are the some of the withdrawals that I am going to experience?
Avatar n tn Like many, I'm having trouble getting off of Zoloft. I have been on 50mg a day for about 3 years. Under my doctor's care it was recommended that I taper the dose by half over a couple of weeks. I've taken 25mg for 6 days and I feel awful. Not "awful" in terms of depression, but rather I feel like I have the flu. I have a cough, my eyes hurt, and I have a headache. Not to mention, the standard insomnia and night sweats.
Avatar f tn My dr. After 10 years changes me from Paxil to Zoloft. I immediately was having withdrawal. Called him and he said to take a Paxil, I did he called me in a new script. But now I'm taking 40 mg Paxil and 100 mg Zoloft. Did he mean to just take one pill or or keep taking my Paxil. I'm not so sure. I felt horrible today threw up after waking up way to late. Very dizzy lightheaded. Balance issues. Bad headache.....this is day 4 I've been on both meds. Anyone have any advice?
Avatar f tn Essentially, you are on two drugs at once now, and could be suffering withdrawal from the Zoloft, side effects from the Cymbalta, or a combination both. If you had tapered off the Zoloft as slowly as you needed to and not started the new drug until having successfully completed that, you'd know if this was a withdrawal symptom and perhaps you needed to slow down the taper off of Zoloft. By being on both drugs, you have no idea what's causing what, and neither does anyone else.
Avatar f tn I was completely unsure what was wrong with me. I thought I might have been suffering withdrawal from Zoloft. I also thought it could have been the weed (which made less sense). Then I started thinking about that disgusting liquid antidepressant my mom suggested I take once. Then my mom admitted that she had mixed two different antidepressants in liquid form AND gave me a .75 dose instead of a .50 dose which was recommended for my brother (for just one of the antidepressant solutions).
Avatar f tn I am sick of being sick, i hv taken xanax before cause of my anxiety. I just wondering how long it's side effects will gone? I am really sick of it, Headache, Dizziness, Extreme Fatigue, Dry Mouth,Lost of concentration, Insomnia, And a lot more, Please Help!!
Avatar m tn Does Tramadol have as much SSRI in it as Zoloft? Does 100mg of Tramadol have as much SSRI as say 50mg of Zoloft? I was taking Tramadol while I was going through Zoloft withdrawal and I'm just wondering if I stunted the healing process of my Zoloft withdrawal. My body and mind still don't feel 100% since quitting Zoloft, but it's definitely getting better.
Avatar f tn I stopped taking Zoloft (100mg once a day) a few days ago. I had no withdrawal at all. This morning I woke up with the most intense vertigo and nausea I've ever had. I have a fear of throwing up so I'm on the verge of tears because I do not want to throw up. I tried eating and I even took 50mg of Zoloft to see if that was the problem. But it's been 3 hours and I'm sitting here at work wondering if I should go home or if it's even safe for me to drive.
Avatar m tn Today I took 1 Vicodin (Labeled M367, 10/325 norco) I took my last Zoloft 14 days ago. I was on 50 mg Zoloft. I took my first Zoloft pill on December 19, 2014 and I took my last Zoloft pill on January 19, 2015. I'm currently going through Zoloft withdrawals and have many of the typical Zoloft withdrawal symptoms. I was just wondering if taking a Vicodin will interfere with the recovery of my Zoloft withdrawal?
Avatar f tn I actually went pretty slow which did wonders for withdrawal symptoms with me. Other than a slight headache, a little nausea, and some jitteriness, it really wasn't that bad. I also realized that it would get better with time and it did. I am glad that you are going to seek advice for this...that is the correct way..keep me informed with what is going on.

Avatar n tn You don't say how long you were on the Celexa, but all the symptoms you are reporting are side effects of that medication. That you are no longer taking it could POSSIBLY indicate a "rebound" effect due to withdrawal. The dose of Zoloft you're on is the lowest available and it usually takes a few weeks to reach therapeutic levels.
Avatar n tn s the downside of moving immediately from one med to another without completing a nice slow taper from the one first. Especially Paxil, which is known to have a strong withdrawal. If the Zoloft proves problematic, taper it down slowly; don't do this again. And as far as I know, none of these is particularly great for a baby to be born taking. The other problem is that Zoloft hopefully will work, but there's no guarantee one ssri will substitute for another.
Avatar m tn //mentalhealthdaily.com/2014/04/15/zoloft-sertraline-withdrawal-symptoms-list-duration/ I was listening to a song I always use to think was very catchy before I took Zoloft, and now I can't figure out what was so appealing about the song. Do you think that's from lack of emotion combined with the other symptoms I've been having?
Avatar m tn Will my brain and body still heal from the Zoloft withdrawal even if I'm taking Vicodin? Will taking Vicodin interfere with the Zoloft withdrawal process?
Avatar m tn These do not sound like side effects of the Prozac, which really hasn't taken effect yet even for side effects. These are instead classic withdrawal effects of quitting an ssri or snri. Did you taper off the Zoloft slowly, or quit abruptly?
