zoloft

Avatar m tn I think I'll ride the wave out, and just continue on with my prescribed dosage, I'm also about to start CBT shortly, so hopefully, I might be able to hop off Zoloft sooner rather then later, as some of the stories regarding withdrawal and other symptoms have caught my attention.
5365627 tn?1369077616 I just started taking zoloft today for severe depression and anxiety i was having. I take 50 mg. Im 36 weeks and i just want to know if it has ever helped anyone else with their issues how much and is your baby ok if you were pregnant at the time?
Avatar m tn I was not officially diagnosed with these problem until recently but I have always had the symptoms......My doctor suggested that I start a 50mg regimine of ZOLOFT.....After a week I started feeling better....I was able to meet new people and go into large crowded areas with no problem......It also helped with the depression issues......After two-three weeks of taking this medication I began to experience some side-effects.....Being a student the one that effected my life greatly was insomnia...
Avatar f tn Hello all, I began .25 mg of Zoloft last Saturday (eight days ago) and am wondering if anybody else can tell me their experience with the drug. I'm both an anxious and an unhealthy person, so it's difficult for me to tell what's anxiety, what's sickness, and what's the drug. A week prior to beginning the drug, I think I had a touch of the flu, which in turn triggered more anxiety. I barely got out of bed for a week.
Avatar n tn since I have been taking zoloft (four months). I consulted my prescribing dr. and my primary physician both claim that the zoloft should be weight neutral and that there is another cause for the weight loss...which has me more worried. I am the skinniest I have been since jr. high. Most of my clothes hang on me and people ask me what is wrong...I look sick, etc. I have had no other changes to my diet or exercise plan. The weight seems to be dropping faster than it did at first. Any insight?
Avatar f tn I do not understand how this has happen but I am looking for answers or advice on how to lose this weight. I have just recently weened off Zoloft and am hoping to see some improvements.
Avatar f tn I told him I wanted to be on Zoloft since it worked well for me before and couldnt see my doc til wednesday. He understood and was so great. I told him the ativan hadnt been working for me and he asked me how much Id been taking at a time. I told him Id taken 4 mgs at once and then we talked about tolerance. He also understood how my tolerance to meds was so high. Then he told me not to give up on the ativan, all the benzos are pretty much the same, some longer acting, some fast.
1198812 tn?1350629166 Hello !!! I Have recently started taking Zoloft for social anxiety that I cannot seem to get ride of. I am going on day 3 and was prescribed 50mg but was suggested to break that in half to equal 25mg to allow my body to get used to it before I up my dose. Which I will stay on 25mg for 3 weeks and then bump up to 50mg. From what It seems people bump up to fast and their bodys freak out. So far I have not had any side effects other then being a little sleepy.
Avatar f tn I recently was prescribed 25mg of zoloft for my bad anxiety. I have a huge phobia and anxiety about dizziness. I am constantly worried I will get dizzy and sometimes I do. Not true vertigo but weird dizziness when i move my head...but not BPPV. I experienced a bad doctors visit who told me I had acute labyrinthitis...
Avatar f tn i strated takeing zoloft on the 21st of thei month along witn xanax for emergency. started myself on 25mg of zoloft and .5 xanax was ok for 4 days had getten to the point i barely needed the xanax anymore even . so i upped it to the 50 mg zoloft that the doc prescribed and it made me seriously ill.
1612112 tn?1298351177 I finally put myself in rehab at age 24 and have now been off of all narcotics and alcohol for over a year... But while I was in rehab I started taking 50 mg zoloft. My main reasons for starting this medicine is because of my panic attacks and social anxiety. I stopped taking the zoloft for about 4 or 5 months after leaving rehab. At first I had the brain zaps for a months or so, then I would get very angry really often.
Avatar n tn What are the withdrawl symptoms of coming off of Zoloft? I'm a 27-year-old female and have been taking 100 mg. daily for chronic depression for a year and a half, and decided not to take it anymore due to the side effects (anxiety, nausea, headaches, dry mouth, light wallet). I abruptly stopped taking it 10 days ago and am starting to feel crazy. I'm lightheaded, dizzy, disoriented, sleepy, irritable, and more emotional than usual. I'm having difficulty concentrating.
Avatar f tn I am on my 4th day of Zoloft. I am jittery and more anxious than usual. Will this go away? How long before I can benefit from this drug?
431685 tn?1324341198 Please give me some successful stories to calm me down.. IDK why but when people start to say that anxiety disorder is curable really helps me ease my anxiety. So any successful stories?
Avatar f tn Have been on Zoloft 25mg for 3 weeks new doc wants to put me on abilify 2mg with the Zoloft to see if it makes it work better. What sort of side effects does this cause and is it helpful?
Avatar f tn I know many people in my personal life who have shared my positive experience, and I've seen plenty of people on this site post their positive stories about Zoloft. A LOT of times, people's bad experiences are also largely attributed to not going about things the right way either, which can NOT be blamed on the medication. People will stop taking the med abruptly, without a taper, and will suffer side effects as a result. They will change doses themselves, skip doses, all kinds of things.
Avatar m tn It is time for me to get off the medications because it all I think about because they make me feel terrible. I miss my self and it's been three years. I have been put on 150 mg of Zoloft and was told that it is not a full dose. I am also weaning off of Klonopin after swicthing from Ativan because the half life is short with Ativan. I am working and trynig to function on these drugs at the same time and it is the hardest thing for me.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me he wanted me on Zoloft and he told me it can effect the feelings I have with my kids. I told him that I did not want to be on a medicine where I do not feel happy towards my children. He said he will put me on a pediatric dose since I am hesitant and maybe if my kids drew me a picture that I would be happy about that....................Ok, my question is this.. Can this medication really not make you Care about your children or you can not feel love for them?
Avatar f tn Just want some advice, I hate taking the klonopin afraid of having difficulty getting off although I know it is a very low dose. Reading to many crazy horror stories. I know that Zoloft if generally very well tolerated so not sure what to think. Any advice is appreciated.
Avatar n tn I am not sure that I would pick xanax over Zoloft, because xanax is addictive and can be abused. Zoloft is used for anxiety and is an antidepressant. It did cause me to be a little dizzy when I went off cold turkey, but that's it. It does not cause dependency/addiction like xanax or valium can. On that note, I guess I don't have an addictive personality, thank God, because I've used Ativan, Xanax and Valium all before and have never abused them and can taper off them if I want.
Avatar n tn DID SOME INTERNET RESEARCH AND FOUND ALL THESE HORROR STORIES ABOUT PEOPLE TRYING TO GET OFF OF ZOLOT.I WENT BACK ON 25 M.G. OF ZOLOFT AND WITHIN TWO HOURS I HAD SOME RELIEF IN THE BREATHING PROBLEM. IN ABOUT A MONTH ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS WENT AWAY,EXCEPT THE BREATHING GOT WORSE AND CONTINUES. I WAS ADVISED BY MY INTERNEST TO TRY AND TAKE 25 MG OF ZOLOFT TWICE A DAY. THAT DID NOT HELP. I WAS THEN PRESCRIBED 0.5 OF KLONOPIN TWICE A DAY. THAT HELPED SOME.
Avatar n tn Some also find barley or wheat grass effective to help get the stuff out of your system without running you down so much. If you google withdrawal you'll find thousands of stories, including success stories, for those who have a hard time. Good luck to you.
Avatar n tn It was suggested that i re post my zoloft horror story, not using all capitols,so here goes. I was on 25 m.g. of zoloft for fourteen years.I was experiencing a lot of stress when i started taking it in 1994.I believe it came on the market in 1992.It was and still is advertised as non additive. I lowered the dose to 12.5 m.g. on October 31,2007 and had no problem. I stopped taking the zoloft on feburary 4,2008 and four days later i started to feel a tightness in my chest.
Avatar n tn I saw my doctor on Saturday because I felt that Lexapro wasn't working for me anymore and I was starting to have panic attacks again. She switched me to 50mg of Zoloft and .25 mg of Xanax, 1/2 pill in the morning and afternoon and one full pill at night. This is my first experience with Xanax by the way. Anyway, I began the therapy on Sunday. Well yesterday evening I started feeling heart palpitations, like irregular heartbeats.
Avatar f tn I have done a lot of research on the internet and have read some horrible stories from Zoloft.
1269044 tn?1393193503 I've noticed around 8pm and after every night I would start to feel like my old self. Even when first getting up in the morning. I've been taking my Zoloft first thing in the morning. By an hour or two after taking it I would get anxious then followed by the weird flat feelings. This would generally not fade until about 8 at night. Then I would slowly feel myself again. Maybe I'll go back on it but I feel like I need to stop and see if that's the root of my numbness.
Avatar f tn Hi again! I'm on week 3, or thereabouts of Zoloft, and I've been suffering a few side effects. Though these aren't too bad, I'm wondering if they are likely to disappear or continue.. I've been suffering some mild insomnia, excess sweating, but perhaps most off putting is the lack of libido and sexual response!! I realise these are listed side effects, but will these resolve themselves or are they something I'm simply stuck with if I chose to continue with the medication?
Avatar m tn Hi there - I’m (again) looking for some fellow zoloft/sertraline withdrawal sufferers who might help assure me that the nature of what I’m feeling is “normal” (I know, hard to do when “normal” is different for everyone. I have had a real rollercoaster with Zoloft over the last few months - I adjusted my dosage - ironically to deal some health anxiety - and started feeling dizzy. Adjusted again, more dizziness. Finally, about 9 weeks ago, after tapering for about a month, went off completely.
Avatar f tn your stories are valuable and your tx experiences are valuable, I have given my input into the medhelp forum and i would appreciate the same into the http://hepcaustralia.thruhere.net site, which is another one for all you to tell your stories, please go there and share as i have done here and help with the fight to hep c for all our countries. We are all heppers and where we come from doesnt matter, we need to get together as a whole. We need each others support, no matter what.
Avatar n tn The whole Zoloft thing is so difficult for me to handle, i had been take 150 mg for 2 years. weaned myself off. Have not taken any for almost two weeks, how long is this withdrawal going to last? i don't feel in control of my own mind and I have so many symptoms. It's difficult to say the least. I do not want to cave in and go back on it. As I will just be in the same situation at another time.
