t taper off as you should have done before starting the Zoloft. It could be side effects of the Zoloft, which you should have tapered up on slowly to get your brain used to it. It could be overdosing on serotonin, as you're still on the Effexor. And it could be just your same old problems never having been cured in therapy but just suppressed by meds that aren't currently working.

i take prozac and had NO side effects at all and gradually felt better. i was told that Zoloft was the best and tried it after 2 months of night sweats, insomnia and speed like effects i did some research and was suprised at how much more side effects zoloft has compared to other ssris.
get off of it now and try another ssri, dont put up with tremors and dont mask the side effects with xanax. that is my personal opinion.
I am on 25mg sertraline, day 8 for anxiety and panic attacks - so far only really feeling the side effects and no real relief yet but am very hopeful given all the positive comments I've read online - if I can just last until it starts to kick in. Also hoping that I won't require a higher dosage.
t really work, or may just have annoying side effects, or even intolerable side effects, such as insomnia, or more often being tired all the time. Either one can happen. (One med kept me awake like drinking 20 cups of coffee. The same med put my mother to sleep for 18 hours.)
Keep hope that there's a medication out there that will work wonders, and keep searching for it, and understand it's normal for any particular one not to work for everyone. Each one works for some.
6 days is nothing. It usually takes at least 2 wks for it to really work and side effects to go away, for me at least. For depression it acts quicker, but for anxiety/OCD it takes longer, like 6 weeks. Everyone gets headaches with or without zoloft, so it could just be a natural thing that you're attributing to the zoloft. It is good to be safe... but try toughing it out and giving it 8 weeks.
t ever know if these are side effects of the Zoloft or withdrawal effects from stopping the Lexapro. This should also tell you about stopping the Klonopin abruptly -- it's not about whether you're technically addicted to something or not, it's how easy your brain finds it to adapt back to being without the artificial way medication makes it work. Other medications can't duplicate this because they all work differently and target different receptors.
I am on sertraline but it is making me very sick. Nausea,runny tummy,headaches,palpations and my anxiety more than ever! Hard time sleeping or eating. Went back to the docter and told him how I felt,my symptoms. You know what he did???? Put me in a pchyciatry hospital because its all in my head! I know my body,i can feel its not working,its making me sicker. My thoart is red and my neck muscels stiff. but he blame it all on anxiety!!
Venaflaxine side effects not as bad as Sertraline. Cant remember that I experienced any side effects with Venaflaxine like I did with Serdep.
Whenever I would switch medications, there was an adjustment period where I did feel some side effects, but if you know that it is happening it really makes it much easier to handle. Starting, stopping, or switching any medication can cause side effects...not just ADs, SSRIs, but other medications as well. As long as you are doing this under the advise of your doctor, you are doing the right thing, in my experience.
So, a trial of 6 to 8 weeks of sertraline is what most doctors do. They will stop this if the side effects are unusual or too much.
So, do as your doctor says to see if this is related and if it is not, then you can go back. By the way, are you being titrated up in dose?
Has anyone else taking Fluoxetine (similar to Prozac) experienced side effects? I have noticed some odd changes in the way my body responds to exercise; specifically, excessive sweating. I'm not sure if the medication is directly linked, but in the past year (I have been taking the drug for about 2.5 years) I break into an all over the body sweat very easily, and it has happened even when I'm not exercising.
It was the worst 6 weeks in my life. They suspect that i am alergic to sertraline. The side effects were so bad,I thought that I am loosing my mind. I felt so aggresive towards myself.
