i get sleep around 3 or 4 am. but she keeps me up with all her kicking. and she hardly does it in the day time. its like she knows i need sleep but wants to play with me and i can't I'm too tired. i know how you feel momma i hope he lets you get some kinda sleep. i sleep a lot during the day time if she won't let me sleep.
I used to take Zoloft a few years ago it never made me sleepy I took it in the mornings as soon as I woke up, try taking it at night so that u go to sleep anyway.
Yes with .5 mg Ativan not with .25 mg. but I can only take one Benadryl anyway as 2 gives me jitters. Tonight I will just take the Ativan. Hopefully get some sleep. The Zoloft in morning at least kept me awake during the day but now I am pretty tired. I was on Zoloft years ago and wasn't on Ativan. Hopefully next week can bump it to 25 mg like I was supposed to. Anxiety still there and I don't like to be on Ativan if I don't need to.
Can't take melatonin as that does keep me awake. Tried it at first and didn't sleep either.

Unfortunately, my heart keeps me awake at night with the thumping. I can hear it and feel it in my neck and head randomly throughout the day too. Oh and feel it in my chest whether i'm resting or active. Cardiologist says my hearts in the normal area and doesnt know why i'd have a racing pulse like i did on xmas eve at 2am that made me drive myself to the er. ER said they think i had dehydration.
So my psych put me on Zoloft. The Zoloft made me really tired again all the time. So I stopped taking it. The Wellbutrin has lost it's effect to keep me awake and I'm crashing at 1pm. The Wellbutrin has mostly taken away my feelings of wanting to cry over nothing but I still have rough days. Someone will say something to me and if I was completely happy before and it upset me even a little I will be in a horrible depression for the rest of the day.
I started taking Zoloft 5 days ago 50mg each day. I want to stop. I don't like it at all. Do I need to cut down to 25mg or can I stop cold turkey since it's only been 5 days and I missed my dose yesterday so really only 4 days.
I'm 21 years old and was diagnosed with depression when I was 17. I went on Celexa right away but it wasn't quite enough to get rid of my bad feelings. I got onto sertraline (Zoloft) and have been on that for about 2-3 years now. Recently, by which I mean last summer, I started to notice just how apathetic Zoloft made me feel. I started to date a guy who I am currently dating, but wasn't sure how I felt about him. We broke up after about a month.
Try to stick with it and sometimes antidepressants in the class that Zoloft is in does indeed cause sleep disturbance. The issue too is that Zoloft is not generic. You have different companies manufacturing the medication and all will be slightly different. Side effects can also be a little different.
Switch to morning, give it some time and if you still have sleep disturbance, consider a medication switch. But talk to your doctor about all of this.
I have been trying to get pregnant recently so my ob/gyn changed my medicine to zoloft 25mg. He told me to stop taking the paxil and take the zoloft the very next day, and from then on. I have been on zoloft 25mg for the past 3 weeks, and now the horrible withdrawal symptoms have seemed to die down. I wasn't feeling quite up to par last week so i went back to the doctor and he switched me to 50mg of zoloft. I took it for one day and have had horrible akathisia ever since.
I usually know when they are wearing off as I finally get drowsy. The only good thing is I lay awake with no pain. The pain keeps me awake all night and when I take the pills to allivate the pain , I still can't sleep. Have tried hot tea, hot baths. I get drowsy but sleep will not come. even my dr does not know what to tell me. I only sleep about 3 hours a night and this has been going on for 18 months. Anyone else with this problem?
I had anxiety, not depression, and my doctor finally realized that the Zoloft was making my anxiety worse (caused me to feel shaky and actually have hand tremors.) I was switched to clonazepam at bedtime, which is a lot like valium, and works better for anxiety. Addictive, but I take only a small amount.
About the legs hurting bad due to me Kicking non stop ALL night and me screaming and talking in my sleep and the terrible evil dreams, my dr is looking into it he put me on Zoloft and gabapentin which is for leg pain or nerve pain he wants me to take one at night every night but I haven't yet Bc I'm on a high dose of methadone and the dr won't be at my clinic til next Monday or Wednesday so I jut started the Zoloft and my blood pressure has went down and the chest pain and the way
m a 17 year old girl in high school, and was told by my doctor that I have major depression. My doctor gave me Zoloft. She said it worked for most teens and I should have no problem dealing with the little side effects. I was told that at the worst, I would get a stomac ache, and a dry mouth. After almost two weeks, my stomac was feeling like it was on fire, I felt dehydrated, I couldn't sleep, didn't want to eat, and couldn't stop shaking.
I was actually advised not to eat grapefruit while on Zoloft. As Sharejew said, it does interact with SSRIs like Zoloft. In fact, depending on what pharmacy I used to get refills, there would be stickers on the medication bottle stating not to consume any grapefruit products....furthermore, both my pharmacist and doctor told me to stay away from grapefruit. I am not really sure why your pharmacist gave you the advice he/she did...keep us posted.
