Zoloft manufacturer

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft manufacturer

Avatar f tn I have been dealing with anxiety and depression issues and my primary care dr prescribed zoloft. I did not iniitally fill it because i felt I could do better on my own through talk therapy with a therapist. When i followed up with the doctor i told her that i had issues with memory and concentration and she urged me to take the Zoloft and said it was only 25mg day - nothing to worry about.
Avatar n tn I have been on Zoloft for years, but recently they changed the drug manufacturer. To add into the mix, I eat at least one pound of turkey every day (bodybuilder). Recently I've been experiencing difficulties concentrating, cloudy thinking, sweating, and shaking. Could this be a possible serotonin syndrome? Has anyone experienced this? Not sure if it's just stress (finals next week), new drug manufacturer, or the turkey. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn I was feeling the withdrawals immediately and thought I should go back to the original manufacturer. Now I am completely unbalanced. When I take Zoloft I feel it zoom in my head, I am immediately hungry and lack any kind of sex drive. I have extra strong sensations when I am touched and am having a really hard time. I want to GET OFF THIS DRUG! I have been reading a lot on this site and realize I am not alone. Can I be normal again without this drug? I just don't know what to do.
Avatar n tn I am wondering if this could have induced brain damage because I have heard that ecstasy can cause the body to overheat when dancing for prolonged periods, so I was wondering if there is a similar effect with alcohol and zoloft? The manufacturer of zoloft doesn't recommend zoloft and alcohol, but it doesn't say why. I am really worried because I have noticed that my cognition is worse than it was before, as in I feel stupider and cannot read as well as before. Please respond ASAP.
Avatar n tn It was suggested that i re post my zoloft horror story, not using all capitols,so here goes. I was on 25 m.g. of zoloft for fourteen years.I was experiencing a lot of stress when i started taking it in 1994.I believe it came on the market in 1992.It was and still is advertised as non additive. I lowered the dose to 12.5 m.g. on October 31,2007 and had no problem. I stopped taking the zoloft on feburary 4,2008 and four days later i started to feel a tightness in my chest.
Avatar f tn I'm thinking of trying Zoloft for my gad/pd. No real depression, just anxiety. I've been on Effexor for about 1 month and it doesn't seem to be working. It also gives me tremors and night sweats. I was on Lexapro for many years then it pooped out. I did very well on Lexapro. My anxiety has been a daily battle for the past few months. I exercise, do yoga, go to therapy, on meds to no avail. Has anyone had success on Zoloft for severe anxiety? What about side effects?
Avatar n tn My doctor (psychiatrist) took me off ZOlOFT. I was on Zoloft for about 5 months at a max dosage of 100mg. When he decided to take me off he did the tapering down process in 25mg increments every five days so I thought that was a good tapering process. I even asked my family doctor and he said yeah that is a safe way to get off the med. I took my last 25mg dose this past Monday night.
Avatar n tn I am also wondering about other mid to long term side effects of using Zoloft. I have been on Zoloft (50mg) for two months now (not really long term but enough to get through the initial negative side effects and experience its benefits). Initially I was treated to deal with panic attacks but the doctor also said Zoloft would help with the anxiety I have upon awakening early in the am.
Avatar f tn i am menopausal and having severe anxiety attacks. ativan for temp. since it's highly addictive. what is better celexa vs zoloft. am confused and scared on stopping ativan and lexapro then adding another med on top of it all. plus i gotta go back to work after the labor day weekend.
Avatar f tn I was taking zoloft 100 grm for 3 months since that I can't sleep (insomnia) and finally, my GP change my medication with Avanza 30 grm. However, I still want to take Zoloft 50grm to solve other problems ( I mean that I like the other side effect from Zoloft). So far... I'm doing fine and no problem at all. However, My Gp told me that the serotonin effect will build up and it may harm my health later on. Can I still take Avanza with Zoloft 50grm?
Avatar m tn I have chronic anxiety for which I take 100mg of Zoloft a day. Lately, I have been experiencing some pretty disturbing side effects, chief among them being thoughts of self harm, or suicide (I've never had these thoughts before. Not even a twinge). I am currently in a custody battle for my daughter and I am under the microscope. Everything I do, or say is being watched.
Avatar m tn Please discuss this with your doctor. The manufacturer of zoloft doesn't discuss interactions with illicit drugs in the package insert.
20555505 tn?1500603773 I've been taking Zoloft for a couple of years and I'm taking 200 mg daily. It is not working that good so I was recommended to try Cymbalta. I've read that it is dangerous to just stop taking Zoloft and my doctor said to take 1 for 3 days then 1/2 for 3 days. I was wonder when I can start taking they Cymbalta or should I start taking that while decreasing the Zoloft. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I have been on 50 mg Zoloft for anxiety/stress the past 5 years. Zoloft has been awesome! About 21/2 months ago, my stress at work (love my job) took its toll and I started feeling those old panic feelings again. I kicked in my CBT practices, but too late! I asked Doc to increase my Zoloft to 75 mg about 71/2 weeks ago. The anxiety has calmed down quite a bit, but some still there. I want to get back to how I was feeling just 3 months ago!
324184 tn?1308079803 I am concerned about how bad the following combination is: Nadolol + Zoloft + Alcohol I have been prescribed Nadolol for migraines, Zoloft for anxiety/depression and I am suppose to take both daily. I have drastically decreased the amount of alcohol consumption I intake compared to how much I consumed when I was younger. I do like to have a glass of wine or two on the weekends on occasion and I am wondering how bad it is for me considering the medications I am on.
Avatar m tn Switched from Lexapro 30 mg to Paxil 40 mg because the Lexapro had stopped being effective after two years. (Prior to that was on Zoloft 150 mg for almost 10 years.) I did the switch overnight just as I had going from Zoloft to Lexapro. I'm currently at the 4 week mark, and I'm feeling worse than ever. I had been feeling good with some minor ups and downs, but yesterday I fell into bad depression along with panic. I haven't felt this bad in years.
Avatar n tn I am 35 yr old male that has started Zoloft about 8 months , it makes me really tired all the time and have no sex drive , what else I can take with this or should I be on a different meds , I take this for anxiety not depression
Avatar f tn It's difficult to find information on this drug, and there is some question as to whether it is a generic of Zoloft, but no solid evidence to support that it is. It's manufactured in India, and little information is available on it. It's linked to Seroquel another antidepressant. It does state that it affects the liver, but I couldn't find more specifics on side effects.
Avatar n tn My understanding is that grapefruit can interact and increase the effect of Zoloft and Prozac but not paxil. The protein involved with Paxil is not affected by grapefruit. You can ask your local pharmacist about this as well.
Avatar f tn so I’ve been on Prozac for 6 days, 1 10mg a day and I’ve experienced really dry flaky patches on my face that are itchy. I’ve tried lexapro and Zoloft but they were causing really bad side effects. I’m just wondering if anybody has dealt with this before or should I immediately stop taking this until further notice from my physiatrist?
Avatar n tn When I do find a generic brand that does work, I stick with that generic made by the specific manufacturer. You can ask your pharmacist for the name of the manufacturer who makes the generic brand you currently take and request that brand each time. CVS orders my specific generic brand in when I need my refill. I just request the name. I do have a friend who also rashed from many of the SSRI's and is doing well on Lexapro.
2020496 tn?1330239684 If you're having trouble affording your prescription, you can contact the manufacturer, they all have a program to help people with difficulty paying for their meds. The manufacturer name will be on your Rx bottle. You need to start taking them again ASAP to avoid feeling even worse. Effexor of all meds is a tough one to come off as it is. Please call your doctor. Update us when you can!
Avatar n tn I'm currently taking it for anxiety, and it has been working quite well. I was taking Zoloft for a couple years and it seemed to wear off. I had no problems with alcohol and Zoloft. I have a few questions regarding Celexa and alcohol consumption. 1. Is it safe to drink alcohol in moderation with Celexa? I'm worried about some bad interaction with the two. From my research online, Celexa seems to be the SSRI that reacts more heavily to alcohol consumption....or is that not true? 2.
Avatar m tn We managed to scrounge up enough money to get me in to see a doctor anyways and I am currently taking Zoloft. The Zoloft has actually helped in some ways, but I am no where near "better." My problems remain and they are still very serious. Heck, In some ways, despite the positive response from Zoloft, I feel like I am actually getting worse. I need help, badly.
Avatar n tn I had been on the lowest dose of an potassium sparing diuretic to combat the 16 pounds of fluid that accumulated on the brief time on lamictal ( weaned off zoloft during that time) My Psychiatrist refuses to even consider the Lamictal as a cause. I did talk to the manufacturer and they confirmed their is a low incidence of edema and muscle pain. Nevertheless after stopping all prescriptions the edema is slowly going away and the muscle pain is still there, but a tiny bit better.
Avatar n tn Remember, as with any prescribed medication, the manufacturer has to put every single possilbe side effect even if it does not affect the vast majority of people that take the medicaiton. There can be side effects with SSRIs like Celexa and Prozac. When I was on Zoloft, my sex drive definitely went down, however, this is not the case with everyone. Just because you experienced side effects with Prozac does not mean they will be the same with Celexa.
Avatar f tn Currently I am in Zoloft withdrawal after having been forced to stop taking it. I took the zoloft on and off for years. Like all SSRIs it's a very nasty drug that I regret ever starting in the first place. I have had some "unexplained" rashes, swelling, rectal bleeding (zoloft induced) and have to stop taking it again. That would be all fine and dandy except because of all the swelling I had to get an awful steroid shot which has put me in an awful tailspin.
Avatar n tn Not quite sure he believed me (geezass).. Anyway he switched me to Zoloft 25 mg and daypro for pain, said it would work and that I would not experience any withdrawals. Any input would be great. As always thanks to all of you recovering addicts.
Avatar n tn I just went away to college, and I've been dealing with anxiety issues for a long time. I'm on Zoloft and I take Lorazapem every once and a while. This sounds really stupid, but lately I've been worried about how my voice sounds and how I talk and I feel like it's hard for me to communicate clearly and articulately exactly what I want. I also pay close attention to other people's voices and how they talk.
Avatar n tn you are causing withdrawal each time you skip zoloft. 50 mg is the beginning dosage of zoloft; therapeutic levels usually at a max of 200 mg.
