I suffer from low self worth, depression anxiety, etc.. You get the whole picture.. Anyway, i been on zoloft for like 3 months..100mgs. My friend who is pre-med told me SSRI's are effective in treating self worth, anxiety, so on... What do u think? I still have low self esteem, i just hate my physical apperance..And im a guy! We guys arent supposed to be that way!!
Thinking Zoloft makes heart pain is similar to this story. A guy took his kid for a vaccination but the lineup was too long so went home. The kid died of SIDS that afternoon before they got back for the vaccine. If he had managed to get the kid vaccinated that afternoon he would have thought the kid died from the vaccination.
I am nearing the end of a 5 year Mirena therefore my doc and I are figuring it is a hormonal imbalance issue. I started Zoloft 2 weeks ago, 25mg for the first week then 50 mgs this last week. I also have begun a new birth control 6 days ago in hopes it will start leveling hormones back out. This last week I noticed a difference in elevated moods and possibly slightly better anxiety but not much.
my anti depressent, Zoloft, is not letting me sleep and I cant concentrate and I get easily distracted. I have had several temper tantrums from being frustrated becouse I cant think straight. I might stop taking it.
Zoloft is not good for the sex drive (even for a guy). But I wondered if you can get into it once it is started. Sometimes it takes some physical and visual stimulation to get the other areas of the body moving in that direction. Sort of like exercising... its not always easy to get going, but once you do you're happy that you did it.
I used to be the least jealous guy in the US. Then I had a thyroid issue 3 years ago which affected my mood and emotions. I became extremely jealousy of my wonderful wife. I was able to get the thyroid issue under control and went back to my normal un-jealous self.
Fast forward 3 years and my thyroid had a relapse. Once again I'm fighting jealous/controlling thoughts, however this time those thoughts haven't completely gone away with thyroid hormone replacement.
Just to be clear, Zoloft is a very effective med for many, but it only works about 30% of the time, the same as any other med for this stuff. It works for some, and not for others, so it isn't really accurate to say Zoloft "will" work for anxiety. It might, it might not.
Hi, i was diagnosed with severe clinical depression just about a year ago and have been put on zoloft. I started my dose at 50mg and am now at 200mg. I also take concerta for focus help at 100mg. when i first was depressed but not yet diagnosed i steadily gained weight till i was overweight at about 147lbs. i am 5'6" and a good weight for me is anywhere between 125-135. I am now 109, one year after starting treatment.
hello I'm kind of in a panicky mode right now because i have OCD about pregnancy but i never had sex before, i've never even kissed a guy (I'm 15)!!! butttt theres been something that made me panic today, after i peed i was washing my hands and then a surge of white discharge came. not just a little! but a whole lot it could fill a panty liner!!! tomorrow is suppose to be my period but I'm super scared i don't know what to do!!
t taper off as you should have done before starting the Zoloft. It could be side effects of the Zoloft, which you should have tapered up on slowly to get your brain used to it. It could be overdosing on serotonin, as you're still on the Effexor. And it could be just your same old problems never having been cured in therapy but just suppressed by meds that aren't currently working.
I tried to migitate the effects of this on my personnel life through going to a doctor who perscribed for me zoloft and anothe medication. It helped for a while but I believe know I am having the symptoms of anxiety and stress back with depression.
I tried to communicate with my family but the feedback isnt really helping, I guess I have to figure ways to help myself alone....but kind of feeling lost.
I have a job and trying to stayed focused and it really is becoming harder every day.
My wife has been on Zoloft since before we met in 1998. Her short term memory is terrible. She doesn't remember something that happened yesterday until I remind her of almost all the details, and sometimes she remembers things differently, forgetting important details forever. I don't mean this in a judgmental way - but she has become very insensitive to other adults around her.
I'm 21 years old and was diagnosed with depression when I was 17. I went on Celexa right away but it wasn't quite enough to get rid of my bad feelings. I got onto sertraline (Zoloft) and have been on that for about 2-3 years now. Recently, by which I mean last summer, I started to notice just how apathetic Zoloft made me feel. I started to date a guy who I am currently dating, but wasn't sure how I felt about him. We broke up after about a month.
Im 30wks pregnant and have had 2 panic attacks in the past 5 day since stopping my 50mg of zoloft. During an attack i start to hyperventilate, to the point that i think i might pass out. And my baby belly get suuuuuuper tight to the point that i wont feel my baby move for a while. And when he does start to move again it's faint and slow. Sometimes i get to where i wanna go to the hospital to check on the baby because the tightness scares me.
This is my first time posting on this discussion board, but I've posted on the Relationship boards previously. Just a brief history, I have dealt with depression before, but not for several years. I had a really bad episode in 2004-2005, and I think most of it was due to life transitions. (I take 50mg of Zoloft daily). I have always been a fairly upbeat person, and I'm a mover and a shaker.
I was on zoloft 100 for about a year then my business went under and lost money as well as a few other things,when all of a sudden i started feeling sick(sweety palms,no sleep,ect,i went to my doctor and he said to change to zembolta but that made it worse,so i went back to zoloft,i had to go and see a psychiatrist who put me on 150mg then also avanza 30mg,the fist day i was great then slide back so he put me on 200mg and 30mg avanza felt great for one day then back again,so at the moment i have

Just wondering if anyone has experienced these types of withdrawl symptoms with Zoloft....first of all i was on 100mg, went down to 50mg, then 25mg, then quit. I am feeling horrible. I feel like I have constant motion sickness, high anxiety, I literally feel like I am losing my mind...I cannot concentrate. I am crying for no reason at all. Today, I called my Doctor and she told me to go back on it....50mg. I took one about an hour ago.
I loved Zoloft (made me feel great) but had to stop taking it because it took away my appetite.
Effexor XR: I liked effexor XR for the most part but there were a few days every month where it made me feel really-really terrible (mood wise).
Cymbalta: I just got prescribed that but haven't took any yet because of the hep c that I just found out I had (am really afraid of anything that goes into my system now). I would be interested as well to hear peoples comments with Cymbalta.
t speak for everyone, but I did drink very often and in excess back when I was taking Zoloft. I started Zoloft when I was 22 because I became sick with depression and anxiety. Obviously being 22 years old and in the party stage of my life I did drink.
I was taking 200Mgs a day of Zoloft at the time for about 4 years. (I'm on other meds now as Zoloft, actually very few antidepressant work for me anymore)
In my case I did not have any bad reaction to alcohol while on Zoloft.
