My 18 year old daugter is on 100 mg of zoloft for depression and 50 mg of trazadone to assist in helping her sleep. The zoloft was given for depression and anxiety. Since she has been on both medications, her school work is not getting done and she is avoiding all responsibilities. Prior to her 18th birthday, I asked the doctor to please switch her to another medication for anxiety and she has not. My daughter is now 18 and I am unable to speak with her physician.

Intermittent fasting has a variety of meanings... When you don't eat between your evening dinner and your morning breakfast, that's intermittent fasting... The meaning of breakfast is "breaking the fast" (break fast). So if you eat a healthy dinner at, say 6:00 pm and don't eat anything again until 6:00 am, you're practicing intermittent fasting.
This is going to be kind of stupid to ask because I'm sure nearly all of you have been prescribed zoloft for depression, if you've been prescribed it before... but how did zoloft work for your anxiety? They prescribed me some during my hospital stay for my anxiety. I'm already less jittery but feeling anxious a bit still but I know that will take a week or so to take full effect.
I was taking pristiqe for depression and anxiety I'm 6 wks today and as soon as I found out I was pregnant the Dr. Made me switch over to Zoloft for depression. I've heard nothing but horrible things about Zoloft. Is there anyone that has takin it during their pregnancy? What is your opinion and experience?
The primary doctor said i have virual virus do to allergies, so i saw my doctor who precribed me the Zoloft he said not take zoloft for two weeks until i get better from this virual virus then try the zoloft again if you have reaction to it stop the zoloft then wait a week and try different medicine called citalpram 20mm. i am so sacred to taking any medicine because i am so sentitive to medicine anyway.
Active 15-year-olds generate a LOT of perspiration ALL OVER THEIR BODIES so yes, they do need to change clothes daily, and with twins, you're going to have twice the smells. Are they "spunking"? Most likely - and somewhere in their room are two towels or wash cloths that are in desperate need of being washed.
My TSH levels stayed around 4 or 5 for a long time and no one treated me. They did, however, treat my symptoms with Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Prozac, Paxil... (not all at the same time :) I was always a little heavy and suffered from bad mood swings. I'm being treated for real now, and I am fine and well adjusted... bla bla... But being overweight even though you go to the gym and eat what your friends do is really traumatic for a teenage girl. I never felt normal.
It may help with the depression that often accompanies the withdrawals...
On Zoloft 25 mg for 3 weeks. Initial terrible insomnia is getting better but still very tired. Sleeping 12-14 ours daily. Is this normal? Will it go away? Taking med in the morning and going back to sleep till 1-2 pm now. Will taking it at night help with the daytime fatigue or will it make insomnia worse? Will the fatigue make depression and anxiety worse if I cannot cope when school starts? Is Zoloft right for me? Should I be patient and wait longer?
It sounds like your daughter could be suffering from social anxiety. If she has been on the Zoloft for 5 months and has noticed no improvement, then it's time to think about trying something different, Has she also been in therapy this whole time as well?
Since this began when she was quite young and you mentioned sleepovers, makes me wonder if this may have it's roots in seperation anxiety. These are only my thoughts, I am not a doctor and am not offering a diagnosis of any sort.
My OCD is centered around irrational thinking and it took Wellbutrin about 4 weeks before it really started to kick in for me so I'm guessing that Zoloft will be the same.
Dr wanted to switch me symbalta (looked it up--said it was for bi-polar). I requested to try to go off zoloft. She said to take one every other day for two weeks and then quit. Keep taking Klonopin. Now I see Klonopin withdrawal and side affects are bad and maybe I'm getting symptoms from that too? This is the first morning I was to not take zoloft but heard tapering slowly is better, so took half (will do for two weeks) and then down to .
Well, I've been on zoloft for 3 weeks now, if anything I feel worse. I want to try another medication or go back on the effexor that I was on last year. How do I ween myself off the zoloft before taking another med, any advice?
When he gets pissed off he has outbursts of anger and goes way overboard. He has been on 20 mgs of Paxil for 3 months now. Before that 100 mgs Zoloft with no improvement so we switched to Paxil. Any ideas? Is there anything else he should be taking? How long does the Oxycodone affect a person? Lots of questions no answers. I'd appreciate any advice or recommendations.
So for the past 6 months I have been taking Zoloft for my depression, and so far it's doing an okay job at keeping suicidal thoughts and strong urges to harm myself or start bursting into tears at bay. However, I also have anxiety and the Zoloft is doing nothing to help with that, not that I really expected it to. I freak out over the tiniest of things, I suspect things are bad or I'm convinced of the worst case scenarios.
