so im not on any meds being as most bipolar meds are not safe during pregnancy and my last psychiatrist wouldnt put me on anything when i was pregnant with my dd except zoloft to fight Post partum depression after the birth. I am not seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist. which i think i should be. I have been depressed for months but its manageable... It's not getting worse. I'm rather happy with life as much as i can be except im rather withdrawn. I dont want to do anything at all.
Thanks for the input. I just decided that zoloft will stand for the drug I'm on. I'm the only one that sees my chart anyway.
And yes your brain will come back, because you haven't really lost it. I think that it's just covered up by some reactions that will quiet down sorta like how the water in a pool gets stirred up in a storm. It's water in a pool, just a different level of agitation. Think cool stll water and just put yourself out there gently.
I have been doing soo much better the past few months and have decided not to stay on medication..I was only on zoloft for the month of April...my question is...I find myself feeling like I have a heightened sense of paranoia..not only about one thing but I find if I think of something or am worried about something I suddenly can become fixated on it and really freak out over it..and become paranoid...its not like my general anxiety..
i have chills right now too, i used to have them as bad as you, chills and shaking, when i took a high dosage of perphenazine, and at a different time when i had a urinary infection. many psychiatric meds have chills as side effects. until recently i was taking 20 mg geodon and 4 mg perphenazine and had mild chills.
I just went away to college, and I've been dealing with anxiety issues for a long time. I'm on Zoloft and I take Lorazapem every once and a while. This sounds really stupid, but lately I've been worried about how my voice sounds and how I talk and I feel like it's hard for me to communicate clearly and articulately exactly what I want. I also pay close attention to other people's voices and how they talk.
I have Anxiety Disorder pretty bad and moderate depression. Since I have become pregnant it has become signifigantly worse. I had a panic attack for the first time in my life a few days ago. I got to the point where I didn't think I could handle everyday life.
This is going to be kind of stupid to ask because I'm sure nearly all of you have been prescribed zoloft for depression, if you've been prescribed it before... but how did zoloft work for your anxiety? They prescribed me some during my hospital stay for my anxiety. I'm already less jittery but feeling anxious a bit still but I know that will take a week or so to take full effect.
I was taking pristiqe for depression and anxiety I'm 6 wks today and as soon as I found out I was pregnant the Dr. Made me switch over to Zoloft for depression. I've heard nothing but horrible things about Zoloft. Is there anyone that has takin it during their pregnancy? What is your opinion and experience?
My daughter (15 years old) has been recently prescribed 50mg Zoloft for mild depression. I am very scared that this is not the right way to deal with the problems that she has and in particular scared of side effects and withdrawal dramas eventually. Do you have any suggestions how I could help her deal with depression without the medication and is Zoloft very dangerous to start with?
I thought it was a good choice for a while. My odd side effects are jealousy/paranoia/crying spells. I was not a jealous spouse before. The first jealousy rage happened four weeks after starting Wellbutrin 300xl. It has become more frequent and is really stressful for my honey (and crazy-feeling for me!). I really wish these bad side effects weren't happening because the Wellbutrin is so good in other ways.

The primary doctor said i have virual virus do to allergies, so i saw my doctor who precribed me the Zoloft he said not take zoloft for two weeks until i get better from this virual virus then try the zoloft again if you have reaction to it stop the zoloft then wait a week and try different medicine called citalpram 20mm. i am so sacred to taking any medicine because i am so sentitive to medicine anyway.
It may help with the depression that often accompanies the withdrawals...
On Zoloft 25 mg for 3 weeks. Initial terrible insomnia is getting better but still very tired. Sleeping 12-14 ours daily. Is this normal? Will it go away? Taking med in the morning and going back to sleep till 1-2 pm now. Will taking it at night help with the daytime fatigue or will it make insomnia worse? Will the fatigue make depression and anxiety worse if I cannot cope when school starts? Is Zoloft right for me? Should I be patient and wait longer?
Hello I am 17 years old and I have just been diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety disorder. I've always had anxiety attacks since I was in middle school but now I'm having severe panic and anxiety attacks. And I just don't feel myself anymore. So a doctor put me on med's; Celexa for my depression, Clonidine for my A.D.D, and Klonopine for my panic and anxiety.
My OCD is centered around irrational thinking and it took Wellbutrin about 4 weeks before it really started to kick in for me so I'm guessing that Zoloft will be the same.
Dr wanted to switch me symbalta (looked it up--said it was for bi-polar). I requested to try to go off zoloft. She said to take one every other day for two weeks and then quit. Keep taking Klonopin. Now I see Klonopin withdrawal and side affects are bad and maybe I'm getting symptoms from that too? This is the first morning I was to not take zoloft but heard tapering slowly is better, so took half (will do for two weeks) and then down to .
