5 mg of clonazepam (klonopin) three times a day (1.5 mg total per day) and 200 mg sertraline (zoloft) once a day for the past three years for an panic/anxiety disorder.
In this time I have avoided alcoholic beverages completely, and as you can imagine being a 20 year old to 23 year old and not drinking is no easy task. But frankly, I would occasionally like to be able to have a drink or two with friends. I go out to bars, and always order a club soda, but i'd like to get a beer.
This is going to be kind of stupid to ask because I'm sure nearly all of you have been prescribed zoloft for depression, if you've been prescribed it before... but how did zoloft work for your anxiety? They prescribed me some during my hospital stay for my anxiety. I'm already less jittery but feeling anxious a bit still but I know that will take a week or so to take full effect.
I was taking pristiqe for depression and anxiety I'm 6 wks today and as soon as I found out I was pregnant the Dr. Made me switch over to Zoloft for depression. I've heard nothing but horrible things about Zoloft. Is there anyone that has takin it during their pregnancy? What is your opinion and experience?
My daughter (15 years old) has been recently prescribed 50mg Zoloft for mild depression. I am very scared that this is not the right way to deal with the problems that she has and in particular scared of side effects and withdrawal dramas eventually. Do you have any suggestions how I could help her deal with depression without the medication and is Zoloft very dangerous to start with?
The primary doctor said i have virual virus do to allergies, so i saw my doctor who precribed me the Zoloft he said not take zoloft for two weeks until i get better from this virual virus then try the zoloft again if you have reaction to it stop the zoloft then wait a week and try different medicine called citalpram 20mm. i am so sacred to taking any medicine because i am so sentitive to medicine anyway.
It may help with the depression that often accompanies the withdrawals...
On Zoloft 25 mg for 3 weeks. Initial terrible insomnia is getting better but still very tired. Sleeping 12-14 ours daily. Is this normal? Will it go away? Taking med in the morning and going back to sleep till 1-2 pm now. Will taking it at night help with the daytime fatigue or will it make insomnia worse? Will the fatigue make depression and anxiety worse if I cannot cope when school starts? Is Zoloft right for me? Should I be patient and wait longer?
My OCD is centered around irrational thinking and it took Wellbutrin about 4 weeks before it really started to kick in for me so I'm guessing that Zoloft will be the same.
Dr wanted to switch me symbalta (looked it up--said it was for bi-polar). I requested to try to go off zoloft. She said to take one every other day for two weeks and then quit. Keep taking Klonopin. Now I see Klonopin withdrawal and side affects are bad and maybe I'm getting symptoms from that too? I moved in with my new wife, where she had been living for about 6 months. Shortly after that, we got two cats that had been her parents, that they didn't want. Both cats were healthy and about 10 years old. A few months later, one of the cats started having asthma attacks. We took her to the vet, who diagnosed the asthma and started her on steroids. A few months later, the other cat also started having asthma problems, and also got started on steroids.
Well, I've been on zoloft for 3 weeks now, if anything I feel worse. I want to try another medication or go back on the effexor that I was on last year. How do I ween myself off the zoloft before taking another med, any advice?
