Hey I just got on zoloft and I am on 25mg and next week i have to start 50 mg, but i just saw a shrink and he said that it takes about 4 weeks to 6 weeks to even have the medication start taking its efffect... I guess i have a question for you.... do you wake up kinda shaky and a little dizzy? or how about constant dizziness through out the day?
I have been generally taking it in the morning and at night. I do think the Zoloft is beginning to help me, I am not as emotional and seem to be generally in a better mood and have more energy, but I am not taking if for depression like you are. A couple of times I have wanted to throw in the towel, but I am trying to stick with it. It can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks to notice if the med is working. Maybe you should try taking a lorazepam in the morning as well to help the nervousness.
hi i am new in this group find out from a doctor i have anxiety and depression they called it situantional anxiety and depression.he precribed me Zoloft on Sept 14th was nervious before taking it did have some side effects but went away like itching then longer i took the itching got worse and felt like flu like systems had a low grade fever 99.0. found out from my primary doctor had sinus infection took meds for the infection finished medicine felt better.
I called her back and she prescribed me Zoloft and she wanted me to start off small 25mg daily for the first 7 days, and then increase it 25mg every 7 days after that till I reach 100 mg daily. I'm currently at 75 mg but I start 100mg tonight. I've noticed that I'm more calm and not as jittery anymore when I first started it and I'm starting to have good days but my depression is really high right now.
s helping, let your doctor know. Zoloft CAN cause sleep disturbances and elevated nervousness at first, until it egins to settle in your system. I have now been on Zoloft for years. Just one thing - ALWAYS ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking ANY over the counter meds - Zoloft can cause side effects when taken with some of these.
ve been taking Zoloft 100mg for OCD for the last 4 weeks, my dr increased me to 150mg. Is it normal to have nervousness and increased sweating and headache when increasing dosage? I was feeling good on 100 mg and side effects were subsiding. How long will it take to adjust to 150? I also was just put on 10mg of lisiniprol for high blood pressure. And I'm taking gabapentin for insomnia from the Zoloft. I really appreciated any advice!
I went to the doctor and she put me on Buspar, 10mg, 2X daily. This is my 5th day of using it. The nervousness is starting to go away. I should be fine right?? NO! Now, I just don't seem to look forward to anything. The one big thing that REALLY REALLY bothers me is I use to love my 'free time'. Meaning, when the kids and husband were away from the house, I'd get this peaceful, calm, feeling to me to where I'd just relax and enjoy the time alone.
Just recently I started getting heart palpitations (pounding) in my chest that got worse followed by chest and back pain, headache and pressure in head and neck. Fearing the worst I went to ER. Blood tests, EKG, thyroid, stress echo, CT with contrast, Holter all normal. Given Pepcid for heartburn and Xanax. Followed up with my gp who suggested Zoloft for anxiety. Symptoms got better. Two days later tried to walk on the treadmill. I lasted 4 minutes before the symptoms returned.

Body and mind going haywire is a pretty good definition of MS :-) Given that MS is a progressive disease you may be experiencing progression.
It sounds like these are new symptoms. If you have discussed these symptoms with your neuro, and he prescribed the Zoloft and clonazepam, I would tell him that the meds don't seem to be working.
There are many drugs available to deal with the many faces of neuropathy.
They put her on Zoloft and after 5 days, she was fine. I can at least talk with her. The nervousness in the daytime is just getting to me. I'm so sick and tired of it. I go on to work and act like I always have but I just don't feel myself. I just can't explain it. I'll let you know what the doctor says tomorrow. They actually just called to tell me that my thyroid test came back fine. I don't know if they will do anymore tests or not. Hang in there.
I have the same thing, I went on zoloft, and was prescribed the wrong dose. I had a distomic tremour, and every time, no matter whether I am cold, wether I am to happy, ect, my right arm twitches, my neck and shoulder twitch, and my head goes, I have even had attacks that have absorbed my whole body, and gone to hospital recieving cogenten ( spelling) to calm me down.
I just went away to college, and I've been dealing with anxiety issues for a long time. I'm on Zoloft and I take Lorazapem every once and a while. This sounds really stupid, but lately I've been worried about how my voice sounds and how I talk and I feel like it's hard for me to communicate clearly and articulately exactly what I want. I also pay close attention to other people's voices and how they talk.
But then I wash my hands immediately after with soap and water. I spoke to the lady from the Herpes Association and she said that I cannot re-infect myself after my initial event. I figured this must be the second event because of everything that has been happening before this one. I hadn't shaved in a while and I was wondering if that is the reason why the doctors cannot see my vagina well enough to see if I have anything down there. So I washed my hands and shaved.
I was having abdominal pain and went to the er to find that I was pregnant in my tube and had a cyst. Had surgery to remove both to still be in pain 6 weeks later and find that I'm still pregnant but in my uterus. Now my body is working overtime to keep the pregnancy since my womb hasn't fully healed from the trauma of the surgery. So now I'm extremely high-risk of a miscarriage. I'm nervous!!!!
So I'm a ftm about 9 weeks along. We baby sat my 4 month old nephew today for the first time. (he's a premiee also) and I've suddenly started to freak out....he doesn't calm down for me like he does for my husband. I'm worried that I will be horrible at this, maybe the instinct hasn't kicked in and it will be different with our child. Do anyone else worry like this? I know I'm probably just overreacting.
m 19 weeks. I was 20 weeks and 4 days along when I found out I was having a girl in my first pregnancy and they almost couldn't tell. I was 20 weeks 2 days with my second pregnancy and they also almost couldn't tell. I feel like I should wait longer.
Oh and is it also selfish of me to want to be the only one to know the gender for awhile? I'm getting a lot of hell for that. Everyone who knows me knows I'm horrible at keeping secrets so I don't get why they're so upset.
