Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft and heat

zoloft

Avatar n tn so they gave me zoloft and the experience was terrible, i woke up and my body would have like waves of heat, i couldnt sit still, anxiety, grinding of the teeth, and weird vision but i think it was the dilated pupils, it was like i was on exstacy. so they told me bp patients tend to react to ssri's like that. i dont think im bp and the seroquel they put me on made me in a weird dream like state and a zombie.
Avatar f tn In another they resolved following a massage from your husband. Both the massage and the Zoloft are ways of alleviating stress. Once the stress was eased, the symtoms went away. Some of what you describe could be caused by MS, but MS does not respond this way. If your symptoms had been caused by MS, neither Zoloft nor massage would have relieved them.
Avatar f tn He put me on zoloft starring from 50mg and now up to 100mg morning and 100mg evening. The problem I am facing is that I feel heat from my body as If I have got temperature. I have checked my temp its always normal. The psych say that your temp does not rise its your thiking give zoloft time you will be fine again.
Avatar f tn Since going off Zoloft 10 months ago, I’ve had severe anxiety day in and day out. Around the same time, I started experiencing various symptoms such as muscle twitches, burning/hot feeling skin that comes and goes in waves, heart racing, heavy head, sore muscles in neck, back, legs, etc, difficulty sleeping, racing obsessive thoughts. Has anyone else experienced this?
410475 tn?1262942367 I did a quick check on medhelp on Zoloft and sweating, and found this post: "I've been on zoloft for 2yrs. just uped to 200mlg. and the night sweats have gottensooo bad. is there any chance they will go away?" by Hensley258 [This user is a Community Leader for this forum] Nashville - Apr 19, 2008 11:39PM To: jjaberwaky I'm right there with you. Many of these AD meds can cause excessive sweating.
Avatar n tn I have been taking Zoloft for over 2 years now and last year I began having severe sweating attacks. I call them attacks because they come on like a hot flash and in minutes I will have soaked a shirt to where you can ring it out! I have them at night and my pillow will be so wet, that it drips off the corner. this is no exaggeration, other symptoms are fatigue, insomnia, blurred vision, dizzy, weight gain, weakness and trembling. My testosterone has dropped to 90 from 190.
Avatar n tn I am currently on zoloft for depression and sleep related problems but am coming off the medication with lowered dosages I also take loestrin. The last few times I was outside without any intense physical activity I experienced a numbness in my right foot followed minutes later by a blackout which would have resulted in me fainting had it not been for the fact that I have fainted before and can recognize when I am about to pass out before actually hitting the ground.
Avatar m tn In my experiennce with anxiety (I also have taken Zoloft on and off for years), it can have its peaks and valleys....it definitely is not static. In my opinion, we can start to worry or feel anxious at different times and sometimes we look for a root physical cause when many times it could be just our nerves. Are you also in counseling? For me, the combination of medication and counseling seemed to help me confront and get long term relief from my anxiety.
Avatar f tn Zoloft is in a class of drugs called SSRIs, which are known ti cause the miserable sweats in some people. I first had my doctor prescribed Ciproheptadine and it worked so well that the sweats were totally gone in one week. Unfortunately, it caused me to gain 7 lbs in about 2 month so I found another drug called Benztropine that has also helped. I passed through menopause 12 years ago, so I knew my sweats were not related to that miserable thing!
Avatar m tn Yes I have checked my heart rate and it is very slow. Have tried the Zoloft but increased the anxiety. Have not been to the Endo yet just found out I was hyper. from my Family Doc. Seems like since taking the methimazole and Atenolol my anxiety has increased. Maybe all these meds just take time to work.
489656 tn?1249999983 I am now like Darkeslight, I live in a constant heat world LOL..... When you feel one coming on just try and sit down and drink something cold!
Avatar f tn I am pretty scared right now. I am wondering if if should forget the Zoloft and instead try estrogen replacemnt and something to help me sleep.
Avatar f tn I would give Z another month or so and stay in touch with the doctor - did she say the Zoloft was likely causing this, or just noted the pain and gave you the script to help alleviate it?
Avatar f tn I have been having really bad anxiety on and off. The Dr. gave me Zoloft and it seems to have helped with my anxiety. But as it is I have a very hard time getting restful sleep. When I do sleep I have ongoing dreams and my mind doesn't get any rest. Now with the Zoloft my sleep is much less restful. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I looked up the side effects of Zoloft and tachycardia or any arrhythmia for that matter is not listed. You may want to ask your doctor about this. It could be some anxiety but the Zoloft should be helping with that by now. Take care.
Avatar n tn My car thermostat read 113 today, so tired of the heat, need a break. As far as your hands and feet you need to get to a doctor. How cold did you get? Was it below freezing? Did you possibly get any frostbite? If any of your tissue froze it could do massive damage to your kidneys, that's is what I would be more worried about.
Avatar f tn hello I have been on Zoloft for 6 days feeling bad. I found I had more anxiety at night and the heartburn is bad felt like I was going to explode with heat. I know it takes 3-4 weeks so I'm trying to be patient. Does it get better anyone had to switch from the night to the morning?
Avatar f tn Before, my regular routine was taking the zoloft first and my anxiety took over and always made me so nervous in the mornings I would have to take the clonazepam shortly after the zoloft. Is there something stronger than zoloft that may help my severe anxiety better? Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn i take zoloft for severe anxiety/ocd and ran out today. my doc never called in a refill. is it ok not to take it one night. i am such a freak about medicine i hate it and get scared of what all i have read on these darn sites. i know it affects everyone diff. but still scares the **** out of me.
Avatar f tn I had been on Zoloft for the past 5 months and before that Paxil (the lowest dosages for both). When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking Zoloft but the depression and anxiety has returned. I would like to go back on Zoloft but am concerned if, because I quit "cold turkey", it's okay to do so. Should I ease back into it, or can I continue to take it as I had been? I've tried contacting my doctor but have not received a response.
Avatar f tn 25 mg because of depression and anxiety caused by insomnia. My MD says Zoloft will help me sleep within about three weeks. Anyone have any experiences to share? Thanks!
Avatar m tn You have to take the control back...stop reading, stop searching about SSRIs and Zoloft and brain damage. The one Zoloft pill did NOT cause any damage. In my humble opinion, you are dealing with severe anxiety, and you need to formulate a treatment plan. As of right now, I doubt you could tolerate another med, as you are still connecting everything to the Zoloft. Therefore, you will likely have another anxiety-induced reaction to another med.
Avatar n tn I have been on Zoloft 50 mg and Clonazepan 0.5mg for years and never had a problem. About 3 months ago I decided to decrease my dose of Zoloft to 25mg as I was feeling wonderful and my husband likes to have a couple of drinks and was on my case about having a drink or two with him. So I decided to decrease my meds. I completely stopped taking the Zoloft - cold turkey. And decreased my clonazepan by 1/2.
Avatar m tn He then prescribed Zoloft (50mg) once a day along with the 2 doses(1mg)ea of Lorazepam untill the Zoloft takes effect. The problem is I still feel like crap just about all day. Dizzy, sour stomach, a lttle shaky, weak feeling. I've been on the Zoloft for about a week now. It's hard, but, should I give the Zoloft time to work? Could I try using less or more Lorazepam? I really want to get off the Lorazepam. My doctor blames it on my upcoming retirement.
459279 tn?1206997145 I was on Zoloft 50 mg for 6 months, blood pressure was up and still was having anxiety and trouble sleeping, so my Dr increased the Zoloft to(100mg daily) and recently added buspar, 3x daily, I do feel better except my weight is going up even with exercise which is causing allot of new stress. Would you agree the meds are increasing my weight? I'm a while make 46, 5'11 199 lbs.
