Avatar f tn I'm a 1st mommy and currently touring hospitals which I didn't even know you could do. But some ppl I talk to make a big deal about the room setting. It's like a big deal to some . I'm not looking the Ritz, I just want my baby out safe and sound. Like do I need a bathtub, yoga ball, and a guest area? Do I really need to focus on the beautification of the hospital room?

LOL So I proceeded to make him leave the room (just in case he was right), then I got on with it. I now have 2 dvd's of yoga for beginners & yes, I'm still a beginner but I get better every time I do it. There is some equipment that is useful, but not essential.
Avatar m tn The Tampa/Clearwater/St. Petersburg area has an abundance of Hepatologists, so if you go this route, there are plenty to choose from. You might be best in first going to your primary physician to guide you in the proper direction. You might need a referral to get into their office. I'd guess you might be best to go the neurologist route, but discuss with your doc. I'm also in the Tampa area - a bit north.
Avatar f tn I got a pair of yoga pants from maternity motherhood. They have extra room in the belly and can be worn folded or over the belly. And they stay up!
Avatar n tn Hello, I would very much like to know if doing Bikram Yoga is good or bad for your skin. Basically, it is quite strenuous yoga done for 1 and a half hours, in a room that is generally 40 degrees or 104 celsius. The arguments are that it is good for you because you have to drink so much water your skin becomes hydrated, and secondly because you are sweating for an hour and a half your skin sweats out all of the toxins creating hydrated, clear skin.
Avatar f tn So I was away on business about a month ago in St. Petersburg, Russia and had protected sex with a sex worker. I am asymptomatic of any STD but paranoid that I must have something. What should I get tested for given this took place in Russia? Am I at greater risk of certain STD's given this fact and witha sex worker?

Avatar f tn Dear Sir/Madam My son is 15 years old and have a high Myopia -7 in both eyes, had -5 two years ago. I live in St. Petersburg and doctor suggested to make an operation-it is called Skleroplastika and as I was told we can do it only in Russian, because most of doctors refuse to do this kind of operation. My biggest fear is that if we won't do operation and his vision will continue to decrease, what should we do then? He also has many rashes on face. Maybe it is somehow connected?
Avatar f tn I just thought I would share with the group, I just went to a yoga retreat for four days at Kripalu, the largest yoga center on the east coast, and met with their senior nutriotionist, who also used to work for many years at Canyon Ranch. Given my large range of inflammatory/autoimmune/immune issues, he suggested I cut out ALL dairy and ALL gluten product and just generally all flour, whether it's gluten or not.

I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Avatar f tn Honestly I am afraid to do hot yoga. I know that heat puts an added stress on your heart and I'm afraid to add that to exercise. I just take regular yoga class in a climate controlled room and I'm fine. Those classes can be close to 100 degrees I have heard.
