Common Questions and Answers about Yoga poses to induce labor
yoga
My mother in law did yoga religiously and her labor was 10 mins once she got to the hospital. It really helps me with the back pain now. Don't know what I would do without it.
Ur body starts to produce a chemical called relaxin to soften joints so the baby can pass through. Some stretching will help. I do some yoga pregnancy poses-warrior pose, pigeon etc.
Yes With My First Kid I Had To Use One Because My Son Was So Far Up And Was Being Stubborn I Was Already Past due and they were gonna induce me but they will try other methods before they feel they juss have toinduce u such as the yoga ball it was fun to me

Try walking up and down stairs, mild yoga, get your body moving. Or sex. If you want toinduce, any tea is supposed to help strengthen your body, however it might make labor easier, just won't induce it.
I swear by this. Its sent mW into labor all of my pregnancies and I plan on using it this pregnancy. Get a yoga ball and sit on it and bounce up and down then switch between that and sitting and rotating your hips. I would bounce for an a few hours a day. It sends me into labor everytime. I do it for a few days and it definitely works.
I bounced for about 3 hours straight and then two hours later I went into labor. While bouncing I googled yoga ball toinducelabor and found a lot of women swore by doing figure eights and hula hoop type circles instead of just bouncing straight up and down.
s painful in my lower stomach to bounce. And if I sit over to far it hurts. Did anyone else bounce toinducelabor and have these pains? Do they mean anything?
I was thinking maybe If I took a yoga class this may help. I would like to hear from those that are taking or have taken a class and if this has helped you throughout your pregnancy.

Im 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant with #2 and i need to start labor!!! I refuse to be medically induced and that seems to be the plan since my amniotic levels are getting low. Does anyone have any advice on how to induce naturally to get things going? Anything that has worked.
m just wondering what is the best way toinducelabor. My doctor told me yesterday that I am in pre-labor. But im really impatient with waiting. Me and my boyfriend tried to induce labor Tuesday night by having intercourse, but my doctor said it can take usually 3 days for a first time mom to go into labor after intercourse. I would like a backup plan in case Thursday comes and I'm not in labor.

My bf is always working and when he gets home he's extremely tired and sex is so uncomfortable so that's kinda out of the question. I heard squats could help? Anything else ladies?
Prenatal yoga is specific to pregnancy. There are certain posesto help with all the fun pregnancy related issues like back pain as well as keeping you limber for labor.
It's nice because everyone in the class is pregnant so you feel surrounded with support and understanding of how you're feeling.
I had this discussion with my consultant today, she told me that the best way of encouraging labor is walking and sex (something in the sperm apparently helps thin the membranes?). Also nipple stimulation releases a hormone into your body called oxytocin, which is the natural form of the drug that they use to start labour in hospitals.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get labor started ive been using the primrose oil and by the looks of things its been working as well as bouncing on a yoga ball and walking im due in 2 days and no signs of him coming
