Avatar f tn YOGA!! No pills or doctors--YOGA. I was waking up every night at 12:30 for 4 days with upper abdominal pain and I couldn't go back to sleep until the pain subsided after 2-3 hours. It was not acid reflux or GERD since I took a heartburn pill and it did nothing. I shared with this a co-worker who experienced the same problem and figured she was getting gas lodged in the wrong parts of her body so she did gas relieving yoga poses when she was in pain.
1539379 tn?1294332115 The number of anxiety attacks seems to have been growing with me, so I wanted to pass along somethings that have alleviated some of the symptoms. Exercise - particularly yoga (even it if seems girly or kinda dumb), has been particularly soothing & help for a range of my symptoms. It helps me relax, and they even have poses that help with digestion. I've also gotten involved with running. I used to dislike it, but now I absolutely love it.

187316 tn?1386356682 I know excercise is a no no but I have been doing yoga since before I was pregnant and during my pregnancy. Not pregnancy yoga but regular yoga. I have a class tomorrow for an hour and was just going to go to it but then I got to thinking. Could it be dangerous? My daughter will be exactly one week old and I have two stitches in my whoo-ha. Do you think it could rip them even if I took it easy? Also do you think it will mess with my milk supply?

Avatar n tn I am a 61 yo female, in very good health, about to have cataract surgery. I do yoga 5 days a week and am wondering if this surgery will prevent me doing inverted poses(I do not do headstands, just down dogs) in the long run. I know I will have to refrain from these in the weeks following surgery. However, will I have to refrain from inverted poses forever? If I can do them, what are the risks, if any. Would appreciate your response.
359574 tn?1328360424 I almost missed that update. Good for you - that is such a better number than an 8mm annie. But that lower number for surgery makes me wonder about mine - I won't get another MRA until June unless I have problems before then.... I really am trying to not think about that little time bomb . Yoga should be great for you - I'm glad you got the ok to try it. I know what you mean about watching - seeing my heart catherization was surreal - I loved seeing the inside of my heart beating.
Avatar f tn So, I've had sciatica issues since the beginning of my pregnancy, but I started prenatal yoga around 15 weeks and the sciatica pain had nearly vanished. Well... What else can I do btwn now and January to assuage the pain? Non medication remedies please. I'm 21+5, first time mom.
