Common Questions and Answers about Yaz nausea

yaz

Avatar f tn Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Regards.
Avatar f tn Some women can experience a lot of side effects from contraceptive including Yaz. They include, but not limited to, Nausea, vomiting, cramping, bloating, weight and appetite changes, headaches, skin changes and depression. Each woman is different, but if yaz was the cause of your symptoms, you may start to feel relief within the first few weeks of discontinuing it. It can take a few months for it to filter out of your system; each woman varies on this.
Avatar f tn I took Yaz years ago when it was called Yazmin and I can't remember what it looked like exactly. Are the inactive pills the first or last 7 pills in the packet? They are a different color. The 7 pills of different color are just sugar pills. Either way it is incredibly unlikely that you are pregnant missing one pill at the beginning of the cycle based on when a woman's fertile time is (middle of cycle), however if it was the sugar pill it is completely impossible.
Avatar n tn I started having nausea/vomiting/diarrhea after a trip visiting family in March of 09. It lasted until May then went away. This year it came back again only worse it seems. The nusea is continuous. I was given Zofran ODT to help with that but it doesn't last through the two doses I am supposed to take. I was also given Nexium to see if it would help with any kind of acid reflux or ulcer. I haven't really noticed a change with that.
Avatar f tn I have been with my boyfriend ever since I was 14, I started my sexual life with him at age 16. I am almost 18 now. I have been through a lot recently, losing some family members to cancer. I've had this extreme baby fever and the will to start a family on my own.
405998 tn?1222396217 I just started taking the Yaz two weeks ago. My first week I noticed nausea. I still feel the cramps/pain from my cysts, and bloating. So not sure if that is from the cysts or has anything to do with the pill. My Dr is waiting to see if it helps before deciding what to do next. I had cysts last year and had to have them surgically removed and now they have returned as complex cysts. Here in Colorado they are gathering information too about the class action lawsuit.
894078 tn?1241473989 I have gone from 120 lbs to 93 lbs in this amount of time. The intense nausea started early February when I started Yaz birth control. I have only recently started taking birth control. Over the last 6 months, I have changed birth control brands 5 times, and also was on Tramadol for 2 months. I know the tramadol made me slightly nauseous. But I took Yaz before tramadol, and the most severe nausea started before starting Tramadol.
Avatar f tn The only meds she was taking at the last blood test was Prevacid for nausea. Before that she was taking Yaz for irregular periods, but since being off the Yaz, the T4 has not really gone down. Her other symptoms are: constipation, weight loss, extreme fatigue, nausea, fluttering in chest/throat and most recently pressure in her head (squeezing feeling on top and sides). Does this sound like anything anyone has heard/experienced.
Avatar n tn I started taking Generess FE 2 weeks ago. I was previously on Yaz for 4 years(no issues), took a break for a year, and started with the pill again. Since I have been taking the new birth control, I have felt so uncontrollably sad. I cry all the time, and I even had a panic attack! This is by far the WORST side effect, but I am also experiencing nausea. I would just like to know how long will this depression/anxiety last? It's really starting to take a toll on my daily life.
1051017 tn?1349636853 I have only been taking Yasmin for a few days now however, I seem to be getting some strange side effects. I keep having these short sort of dizzy spells. I don't actually lose conciousness. I just feel as if I'm dreaming for a second or two. Also I do smoke but am currently trying to give up. Since starting Yasmin, the smell of smoke and smoking itself has become nauseating. Thats also another one to add. Nausea and hot flashes. Also I've lost some of my sense of taste.
Avatar m tn By this point you probably know whether or not your girlfriend is pregnant...but if she is not and she is still having these symptoms please tell her that it is VERY likely that it is the YAZ which is causing her to have her symptoms. I began taking it about 2 weeks ago and on the second week began to feel terrible anxiety, depression, nausea, headaches, weird breathing problems (apparently caused by too much estrogen), crying all the time, etc...
Avatar m tn I know while I am there to get my results he is going to try to get me to take YAZ, which he suggested when I got my PAP exam (I researched YAZ and found some horror stories!!) or some sort of IUD...I don't know how to feel about that either. Should I listen to my instincts and avoid birth control? It seems to me it's just a band-aid and not a real solution to a problem. If I do have PCOS, are there other alternatives besides taking birth control? Please give me some guidance. Thanks.
Avatar f tn ve been on yaz for about three years and have not had any complications with anything, no nausea, or cramps, nothing. But before getting on Yaz I never had PMS or cramps so that may be why I'm not experiencing the same symptoms as others. Recently I got off of Yaz I got my period twice in the month of February (*****...that's the shortest month and I got it twice! ;P) Now it's march and my period is late...
290867 tn?1333569278 My doctor switched me to YAZ and I have been taking it a week and I have been having the worst neausea and the normally light blue veins in my abdomen are more prominent.... Whats this about. Should I call my OB and see if it is normal? I am so confused. Has anyone taken Yaz and had similar reactions? hmmm... I did have a slip up in taking 2 pills last month during days 7-14 (2 consecutive pills) and it jumpstarted my AF and then when I went on the inactive pills I had no AF.

Avatar m tn If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.

Avatar f tn I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.
Avatar n tn I have had a white tongue coating for months it seems as though everything i eat stains my tongue, been to PCP and ENT, had allergy test, brush biopsy, given antibotics, and tongue meds to no avail, i have had various sensations over the past 6 months with my tongue, nausea, dry mouth at times, nasty taste in mouth, tingling on tip of tongue, burning sensation, also irrirated more by certain toothpaste, mouthwash, and spicy foods. Going to see dentist next week, hoping there is some relief.
Avatar n tn I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. Avatar f tn and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! Help please, this is starting to make me feel miserable.
178590 tn?1294176767 I stopped yaz for a month then started it again. I also had the same symptom after starting yaz again. My doctor change my birth control bill back to Ortho Tri- Cycle Lo this month.
Avatar f tn One minute I am on top of the world with a ton of energy and the next I want to climb in a hole. I started on Yaz birth control about 4 months ago. The last two months my moodiness has been worse than usual. After reading other people's experiences with yaz, I am starting to think my feelings are linked to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. Has anyone experienced similar feelings while taking Yaz?
Avatar m tn I have been on yaz for a year and I have noticed that since then I have been suffering from anxiety, panic attacks and depression. This is not like me at all and have even gone to the point of therapy. A major side effect of the pill is depression and I know this is what is causing this. Last week I had switched to the brand Loett to see if it makes a difference. I know this could take a few months to notice change but now I'm considering coming off it all together.
