generic yaz and nausea

I was on Lo Lo Estren and it was perfect but insurance wanted a generic so I was given a generic for Yaz. Now I am losing my mind! I am super anxious all the time and suddenly jealous of every woman that my husband works with. I obsess over silly things that I would never worry about before. I am switching back ASAP but I was wondering if anyone else has been through this with Yaz as well. I don't know how long I can take this until the pill is out of my system!

Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.

i had a little for the first time before my last period and then now i havent had my period for a week and a half and i got the the same thing but more now im on the generic version of yaz and it says there could be spotting is that blood with regular discharge or and infection? should i be worried?

I’m not sure if Kaiser is yanking my chain and just wanting me to take a generic BCP, the only thing I can find is a study published recently in the British Medical Journal. But I thought I would ask, is anyone that has PCOS symptoms (high testosterone, insulin resistance) and on BCP on any other BCP besides Yasmin, and does it control PCOS symptoms? Have you seen any side effects?

I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!

Hi, I'm actually taking Lo Loestrin Fe birth control pills and I've been experiencing almost all of those symptoms listed and just last week I started my period but Im not suppose to start till this thursday. I've had HORRIFIC cramps and I'm somewhat heavy with dark blood and red with some clomps and my period isn't flowing constantly it keeps stoping and I'm panicking cause I don't know if this is normal or not.

5 months and was recently switched over from yaz to gianvi which is the generic brand of yaz. I had no choice. I had my period around the end of the month and into the beginning of this month like normal. I started spotting around 2 weeks before my next period and its lasted about a week now. Its a brown discharge like color sometimes with little red blood and very small clots. I have tiny cramps sometimes. Is this normal? Why is this happening?

Has anyone used yaz to treat endometriosis? has any one got pregnant after using it? and also has inflmmation in the uterus?

Has anyone had yeast related complications from Yaz or its generic forms? (i.e. Loryna) I've been suffering from persistent yeast that correlated with my switching to Loryna and I wonder if the two could be related.

I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?

I know while I am there to get my results he is going to try to get me to take YAZ, which he suggested when I got my PAP exam (I researched YAZ and found some horror stories!!) or some sort of IUD...I don't know how to feel about that either. Should I listen to my instincts and avoid birth control? It seems to me it's just a band-aid and not a real solution to a problem. If I do have PCOS, are there other alternatives besides taking birth control? Please give me some guidance. Thanks.

I took Yaz years ago when it was called Yazmin and I can't remember what it looked like exactly. Are the inactive pills the first or last 7 pills in the packet? They are a different color. The 7 pills of different color are just sugar pills. Either way it is incredibly unlikely that you are pregnant missing one pill at the beginning of the cycle based on when a woman's fertile time is (middle of cycle), however if it was the sugar pill it is completely impossible.

Both months I took the generic (both right after I switched and the second month too), I had barely any period at all, but once I stopped taking the pills I got a regular (heavy, even) period.

Hey guys! It's Danielle and I stopped taking Yaz about two months ago, and I feel fantastic. The weight is going away slowly but surely, and my periods, although slightly irregular, have been better. I started having nausea/vomiting/diarrhea after a trip visiting family in March of 09. It lasted until May then went away. This year it came back again only worse it seems. The nusea is continuous. I was given Zofran ODT to help with that but it doesn't last through the two doses I am supposed to take. I was also given Nexium to see if it would help with any kind of acid reflux or ulcer. My gynecologist put me on Ventura birth control pills (generic form of Yaz) with the intent to stop my periods because they caused me extremely painful cramps and depression. I have gone from 120 lbs to 93 lbs in this amount of time. The intense nausea started early February when I started Yaz birth control. I have only recently started taking birth control. Over the last 6 months, I have changed birth control brands 5 times, and also was on Tramadol for 2 months. I know the tramadol made me slightly nauseous. But I took Yaz before tramadol, and the most severe nausea started before starting Tramadol.

The only meds she was taking at the last blood test was Prevacid for nausea. Before that she was taking Yaz for irregular periods, but since being off the Yaz, the T4 has not really gone down. Her other symptoms are: constipation, weight loss, extreme fatigue, nausea, fluttering in chest/throat and most recently pressure in her head (squeezing feeling on top and sides). Does this sound like anything anyone has heard/experienced.

I was on Yaz for about 5 months and in mid march (2 months ago) i decided to go off of it because of the crazy side effects! i got my first non pill period somewhat on time and now im waiting for my second period but it is almost a week late. i highly doubt im pregnant because i always use condoms with my bf. I am kinda worried anyways though but i just wanted to know if it was normal or not?

No I have not had a topical steroid prescribed, I go see the dentist on next Tuesday, the only medication i am prescribed is Valtrex, Singulair, Rhinocort, and Yaz, just started Yaz this month. However, been on Valtrex consist for a year nearly now.
