Hi there,
I just wanted to say that I have been having similar issues. I like YAZ because it clears my skin and decreases my PMS symptoms, but the downside is definitely not great for my relationship and my sex life. It also does not have a generic, so I end up paying $60 a month... ugh!
I am going to try to find a pill with more mile side effects. Have you had any luck?
I was on Lo Lo Estren and it was perfect but insurance wanted a generic so I was given a generic for Yaz. Now I am losing my mind! I am super anxious all the time and suddenly jealous of every woman that my husband works with. I obsess over silly things that I would never worry about before. I am switching back ASAP but I was wondering if anyone else has been through this with Yaz as well. I don't know how long I can take this until the pill is out of my system!
i had a little for the first time before my last period and then now i havent had my period for a week and a half and i got the the same thing but more now im on the generic version of yaz and it says there could be spotting is that blood with regular discharge or and infection? should i be worried?
and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! Help please, this is starting to make me feel miserable.
5 months and was recently switched over from yaz to gianvi which is the generic brand of yaz. I had no choice. I had my period around the end of the month and into the beginning of this month like normal. I started spotting around 2 weeks before my next period and its lasted about a week now. Its a brown discharge like color sometimes with little red blood and very small clots. I have tiny cramps sometimes. Is this normal? Why is this happening?
Hi, I'm new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
Alright so i have been taking yaz since october. I havent had any problems with it. ive always started my period when it said i should and lasts only 3 or 4 days long. But this past time i had sex and now im worried. I started later then i usually do and never done that and my period was really light and its usually heavy and it only lasted 2 days and never done that either. And now 3 days later im spotting brown stuff.
I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.
I’m not sure if Kaiser is yanking my chain and just wanting me to take a generic BCP, the only thing I can find is a study published recently in the British Medical Journal.
But I thought I would ask, is anyone that has PCOS symptoms (high testosterone, insulin resistance) and on BCP on any other BCP besides Yasmin, and does it control PCOS symptoms? Have you seen any side effects?
throwing away my next two packs that I already bought because I attribute my current issues to Yaz. I normally have a very high sex drive for as long as I can remember and now have no desire whatsoever. Also, despite eating and exercising the same as pre-Yaz, I have gained 8 pounds (during the first month) and cannot lose it even with decreasing my calories and exercising more. I also normally only gain weight in my butt but now have back fat and love handles.
Have you seen the write up on the YAZ pill and issues people have experienced as Bayer "maker" of YAZ has not kept to their promises in terms of how good this pill is compared to other contraceptives. In a forum on this website there were quite of bit of ladies who told thier stories relating to this pill, headaches, bad acne, heavy mood swings, lot of others. Is Yaz treating u well?
I started taking Generess FE 2 weeks ago. I was previously on Yaz for 4 years(no issues), took a break for a year, and started with the pill again. Since I have been taking the new birth control, I have felt so uncontrollably sad. I cry all the time, and I even had a panic attack! This is by far the WORST side effect, but I am also experiencing nausea. I would just like to know how long will this depression/anxiety last? It's really starting to take a toll on my daily life.
No, I did not suffer from depression or anxiety prior to taking yaz. I started Yaz on a Thursday and by Sunday I was super excited to see my boyfriend and then that night and the following day its like someone flipped a switch on me..I just felt weird all the time..even with him. Do you know why that is? I started taking Cypralex a month into taking Yaz. I did go off Yaz within 9 days because i thought something was weird...
I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine.
After maybe a year of that, I went onto Yaz [the brand name not generic] and was on that for a full year hoping stronger hormones would help control cramps more, with not much hope. But now for the past two years I have been on Seasonique [brand name again] and I am pleased mostly because it allows me 4 periods of year [translates into 4 weeks of hell a year lol] instead of 12.
I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.
I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
