I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.
Suddenly all of the these symptoms happen to me anxiety,rapid heart beat,numbness and tingling after stopping yaz. I became numb,shaky,and pale at work shortly after that and they had to call 911. They told me I was having an anxiety attack. I coud not believe them I have never had anxiety before in my life.
it may be the yaz... i was takin yaz and it kicked my butt.. i had to be takin off of it.. my mood swings and stuff were uncontrolable. if i were you i would check with your doc but alot of what your goin through sounds like me when i was on yaz... i have never taken meds for depression but while on yaz the dr said i might need it.. once i quit takn the yaz i was alot better and i mean alot..
Have you checked out the possibility of Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction? I had similar problems after my gallbladder surgery and it took a couple of years of "attacks" and pain and nausea to figure out what I actually had. This is a great website for finding the answers, and CalGal is the one that keyed me in on this dx. Also, I have since discovered that this may have developed after taking the pill Yaz and Yasmine. We are currently investigating this possibility.
I have read several posst and I've been able find other people with similar symptoms like mine. I have had IBS type symptoms for about 11 years, but a few years ago I began having stomach issues that just didn't seem like the usual IBS stuff. I started having severe abdominal bloating almost 3 years ago and began suffering from on and off constipation. I started to notice that I was feeling this terrible nauseous feeling in the center of my upper abdomen...
I developed a small rash on my side two weeks ago, started out as just some raised bumps, not itching or anything. It very quickly spread across my side, and now itches. I've put hydrocortisone on it which made it start to shrink. My sister (a nurse) thought maybe it was a delayed allergic response to my tattoo, which i got in early August. I also started a new birth control (nongestimate and ethinyl estradiol) a little over a month ago (was taking yaz before).
Since I had been taking the Yaz for almost two months straight (I skipped my period by not taking the placebo pills) do you think this changes the possibility of me being unprotected?
m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with panic and anxiety as a result of yaz? And have you found that it even got worse when you took yourself off of it? Just today I am now feeling tenderness of my nipples, is that common too? Does anyone know how long it will take to get out of my system? Also my libido had depleted to nothing, how long should it take for that to come back?
I am a 49 year old female in perimenopause. I have a history of migraines since starting my menses at age 13 years old. Been in perimenopause for the last 4 years. Four years ago began having panic attacks-one occurred during visit with GYN. I was place on low dose niravan for anxiety.
I recently had an ultrasound for my gallbladder and they alse checked out my liver and kidneys, apparantly everything is fine in that area. The first doctor i went to told me to 'take an ibuprofin and it will go away'. Well lets just say that method certainly did NOT help. Antacids used to help a little, now they either do nothing or make it worse.
October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only)
November 10 - Period came
November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack)
November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding
November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING
November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding
Nov19- 27 light bleeding
Nov 28 bleeding gone
I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.
Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.
I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
