Is there any difference in the contraception effectiveness of Yaz in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome? If so what are they?

I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine.

I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. Has anyone experienced similar feelings while taking Yaz? If so, how soon did you return to normal after stopping the pill?

I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

Today in my aftercare we had to watch this movie -- It was insane. It is called "Once Were Warriors". I dont know if anyone knows about it but it is about the affects of alcohol and domestic violence on this tribal family living in New Zealand. Our counselor is from a reservation and said that the kinds of abuse shown in this movie were common where she grew up. The violence in this film is so horrific and sickening some people walked out of the room and didnt come back.

I got my tubes tied in December 2007 but continued taking the Yaz until Jan 18th 2008. I had my period Jan 21st-26th and got a bad headache the last day of my cycle. I am anxious to see what the month of February will be like with no BC pills in my system. l also suffer from allergies and sinus problems and I assume all that plays a part in my migraines. My question is what should my next step be? See my family doctor and ask for a daily medication to prevent them? See a Neurologist?

3 year old will not sleep in her own bed. She'll fall asleep with myself beside her or in the room with her. At best she'll last an hour in her room on her own then wakes. She says she's scared etc. Have tried nightlights etc but still no luck. Shes nearly four and ideally want my bed to myself but running out of ideas.

I started taking Yaz when I was about 17 years old to regulate my menstrual cycles. In the beginning when I was taking it, I had lost weight and noticed that i barely has problems with my cysts on my ovaries. I started taking Yaz two weeks ago I've had a good experience. the first week I had every symptom under the sun nausea, diaharreah headaches, but second week I 'm so happy my face has cleared up tremendously. I suffer from horrible hormonal acne since I was a teenager and I'm 25 now. I started noticing change within end of first week. Before I was on orthotrycycline and I was depressed irratable broke out horribly had a dark stain on my upper lip just horrible.

October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only) November 10 - Period came November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack) November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding Nov19- 27 light bleeding Nov 28 bleeding gone I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.

Hi, sorry for all your trouble. my daughter is 19 and she started on yaz in may of 08 for pms, she loves it. said she could tell the difference in her cycles the very first day. that's all the info I have on it.

I also have the exact same symptoms. I feel so bloated all the time and since being on Yaz for over 3 years now, I'm weighing more than I ever weighed in my life. I started taking Yaz right after I had my daughter and I just can't seem to lose the weight. I've tried taking other brands but did not like it. I'm actually thinking about resorting to the ring.

Is anyone else in the Family anxious could he have learned the behavior? sometimes that does happen, try not to over explain , maybe let him have his feelings without comment ,take a step back try not to be overly concerned that he has a problem.Its not unusual for children not to like the dark, some want a light on.What made him 'over stressed in the movie ...had something happened prior, has he older siblings , does he get on well with him, are they kind towards him .

I am 38 and was concerned about my age and my chance of having children (currently single). My doctor recommended I go on Yaz and continue to take it for 3 months continuously so I wouldn't get my period, then have a period and repeat the cycle. She suggested this would stop my eggs from releasing as often so I have more eggs for longer.

I have a 4 year old daughter that is use to falling asleep watching a movie in her room................I tried having her fall asleep without a movie the night before last and she FREAKED..............I want her to get some good sleep because she is going to start school soon and she needs to get use to that. I should tell you that she is really a great kid, awesome during the day.........but for the past 2 nights its been awful..........

I then started to get my period and my symptoms were still around for the following 2 weeks so I just decided to go back on Yaz because I ruled it out as being the problem. Maybe I didnt give my body enough time to get rid of Yaz.. I heard it takes 2 months to leave your system. Before these 5 months I was on Yaz for about a year i believe and i never had these symptoms...only this time around.

I haven't been to a theater to watch any movie since.... Wow, it is a while: "Der Untergang". I'm a person who likes the living room and the couch a lot. Last up was "Lucky Number Slevin", in my eyes a crazy good movie. There are so many movies I'd like to see, but I know for definite that my all-time favorite has been and will be "Dead Poet's Society". Nice, relaxed comedy ought to be anything with Adam Sandler, gotta love the guy.

How soon can I expect to conceive,I have stopped taking Yaz in Dec last year and I have been trying since then.

I have no idea, it just stopped for 5-7 seconds, I was watching a movie, i got up to go use the bathroom and my heart just stopped, I felt it literally stop in my chest, I fell over hit my head pretty hard on the ground and I wet my pants and stopped breathing the whole time but I was still awake. I felt the whole thing happen, when it started again I was gasping for air and shaking like crazy staring up.

My question is should I just stop taking it now or wait until the end of the packet for me to have my period first. Also my boyfriend and I recently had sex without a condom and I was wondering if I would be at risk of getting pregnant because I swapped pills a week ago? Or would have it just kept protecting me instead of yaz?

Im on YAZ and Prozac. I cant stop bleeding. My feet randomly go numb. I barely remember anything anymore. I feel sixty. My bones hurt. I can bend my knees. I have golf ball size blood clots when im on my so called "real" period. My back started hurting as soon as i started YAZ. Im only sixteen and feel like I wont live till twenty. I've told my parents. Ive been to docters but they cant find anyting wrong when they lok at the ultrasounds or paps. Im terrified.

has any1 been on the yazmin pill and had a noticable change in there cup size? its the only reason i want to go on yaz really. iv had the implant in my arm for coming up to nearly 3 years now and dont want another put it in. i would rather go on yazmin but from reading all the reviews on yaz im now rethinkin my decision but to be totaly honest i just want my breasts to grow from a 32A!!

I love those movies. I liked the one about Corrie Ten Boon too. I think the movie was called "The Secret Room"? She and her family hid Jews for years, I believe, before they were found out and sent to a concentration camp. You should read her book. It's really something! Do you think people today would have that kind of courage? To risk their lives to save others? I would hope so. I would do all I could, I'm sure.

Have you seen the write up on the YAZ pill and issues people have experienced as Bayer "maker" of YAZ has not kept to their promises in terms of how good this pill is compared to other contraceptives. In a forum on this website there were quite of bit of ladies who told thier stories relating to this pill, headaches, bad acne, heavy mood swings, lot of others. Is Yaz treating u well?
