Yaz for skin

Common Questions and Answers about Yaz for skin

yaz

405998 tn?1222396217 I don't know about using Yaz to shrink cysts, but I was on Yaz for years until I eventually had breakthrough bleeding and had to stop. Yaz was the only birth control pills that didn't make me feel crazy from mood swings or depression. I see those lawyer ads on TV also, but I really liked Yaz.
Avatar n tn Yes, I am black female and I have been taking YAZ for 1 and 1/2 years and I can't be out in direct sunlight for more than 5mins at a time, my skin feels like it's on Fire!!!
Avatar f tn I was just wondering a) if anybody else has felt sick on Yaz; b) if going off it helped; and c) how long it took for the pill to get out of your system? Thanks for any help. (I'm 18).
Avatar f tn Well I took Yaz for 3 months and at the end my fiancee kindly asked me to switch, because I was so depressed and crying over everything. My body hurt so much also, headaches, stomach, then I started asking my girlfriends about it - all of them that tried it, got off it very quickly. But it might effect you differently..
Avatar f tn Getting off Birth Control destroyed my skin. I am 27, never had skin problems at a teenager. Started on Birth Control around age 21 (with no changes in my good skin) and continued on it until about age 24, when I decided that I wanted to 'cleanse' my body, and not take a daily pill.. a few months later I started getting terrible cystic acne. When I got back on the pill, around 6 months later, at last resort to heal my skin, it almost instantly cleared up.
Avatar m tn Just to add to the conversation that I had been on yaz for seven months. I had never had such terrible cystic acne in my life! It was obviously hormonal acne being that it was cystic and not the simple whitehead or blackhead that is caused by excess cebum and etc. I had been prescribed Retin A, and an antibiotic face wash as well, but none of it helped! So I came to the conclusion that my problem had to be the Yaz. I called my OB and changed by bc to Ortho Tri Lo.
Avatar n tn m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
Avatar n tn I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine.
Avatar f tn t know about the breastfeeding part....but when I was on the pill...Yaz gave me beautiful even clear skin..... Maybe you could ask your doctor about those.
Avatar f tn same thing with me! i have been off of yaz for like 5 months now. I had a clear face while on yaz. then afterwards my face breakouts were horrible! the worst they have ever been in my life! it still hasnt stopped. i just suffer with it and try not to pick at them and make them look worse.
Avatar f tn The only postitive aspect of Yaz for me was that my skin looks great. It did not help with my fatigue.
Avatar f tn I have very bad night sweats (wake up damp), no hot flashes, hair loss, dry skin, anxiety which gets worse before period, dry hair, itchy skin, temp has been running at 97, headaches were bad until I started taking YAZ, allergies which I have never had, etc. Anyone thinking this sounds like peri-menopause? I am 38, my mom says hers started at 35.
Avatar f tn s when he said he was going to remove it but I had all the signs of endo, not complications from that. He put me on Yaz and I was regular for about 2 months. Since then, my symptoms have returned only worse. I finally went back today and they still strongly suspect it. I am waiting out a surgery to see if any hormone therapy will do the trick because I have to pay out of pocket. The doctor wants me to try loestrin 24 for 3 months. My question is, does anyone have experience with both?
Avatar f tn I would definatly consult your family physician or your OBGYN about a suitable birth control for you. I took Yaz a few months ago for a short period of time(just a week and a half) and it messed with my emotions and feeling like crazy. I strongly suggest you don't use Yaz. I still don't feel like myself even though I am off the pill. If you like being happy, don't use Yaz, please, its not worth it. I have not heard many good things about Yaz since I have taken it.
Avatar f tn It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference. Well, my skin gets hard bumps under the skin which arent pimples and they will form permenant red marks on my face. I also have three spots on my cheeks near my nose that have thickening skin and contu=inuously flake off and turn red and repeat continuously. Nothing seems to help..
Avatar f tn My doctor has recently placed me on a Yaz treatment method for 6 months to treat nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Any thoughts on this treatment method? So far the Yaz is ridiculous. I'm experiencing every common side effect but vomiting (then again I'm only on day 5). Any feedback would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn It's probably the pills you're on. I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Yaz for about 4 months now. I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
Avatar f tn I too have been taking Yaz for 5 cycles now and I have experienced the same bloating you are talking about. I am a very athletic person and I run almost 70 miles a week. Before Yaz I was skinny 5'3 110lbs and I didn't have much of a tummy at all.I am still the same weight but now I look almost pregnant, and i am positive i am not, but my stomach sticks out so much from bloating and it is making me miserable as well. I just want it to go away.
