yaz and oily skin

I also have been told from an ultrasound years ago that I have poly cystic ovaries but not bad enough to be the syndrome. I also have related symptoms like oily skin/hair, excessive hair growth, weight gain and hair loss/thinning. I also have the implanon contraceptive. I recently went to a doctor who suggested I could also take the combined contraceptive pill (YAZ or Yasmin), along with the implanon. Is this a recommended method of addressing my symptoms?

My face and hair have become so oily. I can't stand it. It make me feel dirty. Does anyone else have this problem? What did you use to make it stop?

Second baby was a boy. Had no greasy hair nor oily skin. My third was a boy and had no greasy hair nor oily skin. Im thinking im having a girl because her hormones and mine are raging. i have extremely oily skin and i think its because i use my acne medications such as differin and duac but even though i wash my face 3 times a daii it is still oily and its worse during parties because i cant wash my face then..? wat should i doo..any herbal remedies as well?

It purifies your skin and absorbs all of the oil. It helps to exfoliate before you use it and use a water based lotion after. Saved my skin. Even from stretch marks! Use daily though.

Also the moisturizer may seem unnecessary if your skin is already oily but if your skin is not getting the moisture it needs, your body tells your oil producing skin cells to work overtime and produce more, therefore causing oily skin. So giving your skin proper moisture will actually cause your skin to have to produce less oils making your skin not as oily. Now that goes for your hair too.

I am no expert with the therapy as I have never been on it before however I do believe oily skin is related to higher T levels. My total T is at the high end and i have, always had oily skin. Not to mention body builders who take steroids and such to boost their T levels often deal with acne and breakouts in those areas. I would think that if the only change you made recently was going on the injections, it would be related to the new things you are seeing.

m having a boy and the same thing happens to me. My cheeks and t zone are dry but my nose is oily. I use the gel lotion from clinique because it's really lightweight or just put lotion on the dry spots. Have you tried a less harsh cleanser?

its not a home remedy, but I had this same problem and tried so so much everything either made my skin too oily or too dry but I bought clean and clear advantage acne control, took the oily skin away, cleared my acne and made my skin super soft all the time!

Getting off Birth Control destroyed my skin. I am 27, never had skin problems at a teenager. Started on Birth Control around age 21 (with no changes in my good skin) and continued on it until about age 24, when I decided that I wanted to 'cleanse' my body, and not take a daily pill.. a few months later I started getting terrible cystic acne. Hello I am a young female, I usually have normal to oily skin, but just yesterday I woke up and noticed bumps all along my forehead, very small like goosebumps almost. Yet, noticeable. Oily skin and acne are symptoms of hyperthyroidism (overmedication), not side effects of proper doses of levothyroxine. Perhaps your meds need to be reduced??? Do you have any other hyper symptoms? If you have recent labs, please post with reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. Do you know the cause of your hypothyroidism?

I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!

try keeping ur hair out of your face as this can cause oily skin and drink plenty of water and get plenty of fresh air.oily skin is nothing to worry about as it is just your skin type that can be managed.hope this helps.

I have had an itchy scalp and dandruff. My hair is healthy and becomes oily very easily. I have picked up some Tgel, but wanted to know if nayone had any other options on what works. Head and shoulders does nothing but make my hair very oily. ANy suggestions woudl be appreciated.
