yasmin and oily skin

I also have been told from an ultrasound years ago that I have poly cystic ovaries but not bad enough to be the syndrome. I also have related symptoms like oily skin/hair, excessive hair growth, weight gain and hair loss/thinning. I also have the implanon contraceptive. I recently went to a doctor who suggested I could also take the combined contraceptive pill (YAZ or Yasmin), along with the implanon. Is this a recommended method of addressing my symptoms?

t had a period since, though I have put on a little it of weight and my skin has become more oily but no period as yet. I went to see the doctor who did some blood tests but they came back saying that everything was ok and the doctor didn't need to see me again. Why have a not had a period in a year?

Second baby was a boy. Had no greasy hair nor oily skin. My third was a boy and had no greasy hair nor oily skin. Im thinking im having a girl because her hormones and mine are raging. i have extremely oily skin and i think its because i use my acne medications such as differin and duac but even though i wash my face 3 times a daii it is still oily and its worse during parties because i cant wash my face then..? wat should i doo..any herbal remedies as well?

It purifies your skin and absorbs all of the oil. It helps to exfoliate before you use it and use a water based lotion after. Saved my skin. Even from stretch marks! Use daily though.

Also the moisturizer may seem unnecessary if your skin is already oily but if your skin is not getting the moisture it needs, your body tells your oil producing skin cells to work overtime and produce more, therefore causing oily skin. So giving your skin proper moisture will actually cause your skin to have to produce less oils making your skin not as oily. Now that goes for your hair too.

I had been on Yasmin for 5 years and never had any problems with it, my skin was clear, my periods were regular, the only thing that I've had to put up with is the slightly worsened mood swings when I get my period. However within a month of taking Isabella, I was a complete emotional wreck, month round (not just PMS). No other way to describe it. I was crying for no reason, I couldn't bring myself to do the things I normally do, everything upset me, and I just felt super pathetic.

I am no expert with the therapy as I have never been on it before however I do believe oily skin is related to higher T levels. My total T is at the high end and i have, always had oily skin. Not to mention body builders who take steroids and such to boost their T levels often deal with acne and breakouts in those areas. m having a boy and the same thing happens to me. My cheeks and t zone are dry but my nose is oily. I use the gel lotion from clinique because it's really lightweight or just put lotion on the dry spots. Have you tried a less harsh cleanser?

Reading all of the posts on another part of this forum elated to yasmin and yaz is very scary. My life has been seriously affected by taking yasmin for four years. If I only knew back then what I know now. Please consider the long term effects of taking any birth control pill, not just yasmin or yaz. They primarily work by putting your ovaries to sleep. The pill shuts down your own natural production of hormones and replaces them with lab manufactured hormones.

He told me that it is safe for pregnancy and I confirmed that with my gyno. My 1st born was a boy and I had horrible acne and now this time around my skin is much better since using these. The bottles last forever too.

its not a home remedy, but I had this same problem and tried so so much everything either made my skin too oily or too dry but I bought clean and clear advantage acne control, took the oily skin away, cleared my acne and made my skin super soft all the time!

Hello I am a young female, I usually have normal to oily skin, but just yesterday I woke up and noticed bumps all along my forehead, very small like goosebumps almost. Yet, noticeable. I have larger bumps on my neck but not near big enough to be hives. They're very itchy and are hard to notice unless touched. Please help! Oily skin and acne are symptoms of hyperthyroidism (overmedication), not side effects of proper doses of levothyroxine. Perhaps your meds need to be reduced??? Do you have any other hyper symptoms? If you have recent labs, please post with reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. Do you know the cause of your hypothyroidism?

But I thought I would ask, is anyone that has PCOS symptoms (high testosterone, insulin resistance) and on BCP on any other BCP besides Yasmin, and does it control PCOS symptoms? Have you seen any side effects?

try keeping ur hair out of your face as this can cause oily skin and drink plenty of water and get plenty of fresh air.oily skin is nothing to worry about as it is just your skin type that can be managed.hope this helps.

I have had an itchy scalp and dandruff. My hair is healthy and becomes oily very easily. I have picked up some Tgel, but wanted to know if nayone had any other options on what works. Head and shoulders does nothing but make my hair very oily. ANy suggestions woudl be appreciated.
