yaz for polycystic ovaries

Cysts in the ovaries are sign of PCOS. There is no known cure for PCOS. I have PCOS too. Doctor will put you on BCP to regularize your periods if you are not ttc. Usually they put you on metformin that takes of the cysts to some extent. What treatment are you going through?

I had diagnose for a polycystic ovaries.and my husband and i are trying to conceive. I had just finish taking up duphaston yesterday and it was for 10days.. and my doctor said when i had already my period in 3rd day i wil start take CLOMID for 5days.and doc said in the 9th-20days we wil do a alternate days of contact with my husband. question: is there any of you had a positive feedback on this? Do u think i might get pregnant?and who had already experience this?..

6 cm in the right ad 0.7 in the left. i hve also polycystic ovaries and thin endometrium. m ob gave me a pills for 3 months because i also want to ge pregnant.

I have been suffering from polycystic ovaries, and my doctor has prescribed hyponidd tablet. I have been trying for baby after my marriage since 2 yrs,but no luck. 5 days back i have done follicular study, and still i have some cysts in my ovaries but my left ovary shows one 16 mm follicle.Also I am suffering from hypothyroidism, for that I am taking eltrocin 50 mcg.Although it is normal now.My question is Will I be able to conceive naturally. I am very depressed.

does any1 no about this condition? i have been told i have polycystic ovaries n its come as a shock it explains loads why iv put so much weight on n why iv not been able to shift it, has any 1 got any clues as to wot the treatment is n how effective it is? iv been referred to a gynaecologist but wont here from them 4 a little while?

Dr. was lovely. Said should be fine. Said load of rhubarb that it'll be harder for me to get pregnant cause of polycystic ovaries. Says there's a window where we can get pregnant, depending on my cycle. I got to book to have a blood test on the 21st in any hospital - got the forms - just to make sure I'm ovulating, although he doesn't see why not.

I had been on Yaz low dose for 2 years but for the last 23 no period. Went to the Dr 10 weeks ago and was put on Alesse. After 1 pack still no period so I decided to go off BCP until I get a natural period. 6 Weeks later and still nothing. Went to the bathroom Saturday and had pink mucousy discharge but I wiped til it was gone (4 wipes) thinking maybe that would be the start of my period and still 3 days later NOTHING!!

I just found out I have polycystic ovaries and I am a little freaked out by it. My doctor started me on birth control and metformin for the next six months with orders to lose weight. I am wondering how hard or if I will be able to overcome this problem and be able to conceive.

I was on Junel 1/20 for a couple of years, then went on Yaz for a month last April (I was living in Germany and the doctor ok'd it, even with my questions about health concerns). After going off Yaz, I have never had my period again and hadn't had it before that since February. I (stupidly) did not really think it was an issue until right around Christmas when my mother said I should get it checked out.

I am 29 years old and have polycystic ovaries, (PCOS). I also suffer from central obesity, have striae in abdominal area, hirsutism and slightly increased testosterone and low transferrin. The low transferrin worries me because I remember being 10 years old and having a depression on my thumb nail. I had no idea what is was and I now think it could of been koilonychia. I am also always cold and I went to donate blood at 23 yr. old, and a needle stick to test for iron was given to me.

I don't know about using Yaz to shrink cysts, but I was on Yaz for years until I eventually had breakthrough bleeding and had to stop. Yaz was the only birth control pills that didn't make me feel crazy from mood swings or depression. I see those lawyer ads on TV also, but I really liked Yaz.

Its actually 2 diff things, one causes symtoms ie weight gain, hair growth in unwanted place, spots and of course cysts infertility and lack of a proper monthly cycle, whereas polycystic ovaries without the sydrome do not give you symtoms.

I've been on Ortho-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen Lo, Nuvaring. The types I have not tried was progesterone only, shots, IUD, and implants. Nuvaring was my latest and that was the worst experience I have ever had. Every single type I have used, I have had the same symptoms: nausea, headaches, dizziness, irregular cycles, spotting, weight gain, and mood swings. Since May of this year, I have been doing it naturally, but I am still trying to figure out when I ovulate...

It takes blood work to confirm PCOS. You can have polycystic ovaries and not have the hormone imbalance. It does not always mean you will have trouble conceiving. You never know until you try.

I have also just found out that i have polycystic looking ovaries but not the syndrome( im a normal weight and size for my age so rules it out) My periods are regular due to the pill but are becoming painful again(why i went on it to begin with) my specialist said when i want a baby he will put me on a table to help ovulate properly and there should be no problems.

I also had polycystic ovaries and I did not take meds for it. I think it is fairly common as several of my friends had it too. I had 3 children and my friends have a couple each so I think you will be fine. Smiles!
