She said bleeding will stop after I finish YAZ, then switch to ALTHEA when I get my first period. She said that Althea is a little bit high on dosage compared to YAZ. My remaining YAZ pill will be finished on November 29 (two white pills for that day). **When will I have my next period if for November, I had long periods? I want to know when I will get my next period? **How is ALTHEA compared to YAZ?

I was diagnosed with hypothyrioidism about 4 years ago. I started with Synthroid dosage of .025mcg and then had it raised to .05mcg about a year later. My TSH levels have always remained in the normal range. (0.5-3.0). About a year and half ago i started taking Yasmin Birth Control and since then my TSH levels have flucated tremendously and they can't seem to regulate my thyriod.... I'm either taking too much Synthroid or not enough.

If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.

I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine.

I would definatly consult your family physician or your OBGYN about a suitable birth control for you. I took Yaz a few months ago for a short period of time(just a week and a half) and it messed with my emotions and feeling like crazy. I strongly suggest you don't use Yaz. I still don't feel like myself even though I am off the pill. If you like being happy, don't use Yaz, please, its not worth it. I have not heard many good things about Yaz since I have taken it.

I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.

Hello I am 25 years old and I am female. I want to ask something. I have an ilness since I was a child and it is called peripheric spondyloarthropathy and I use some drugs everyday for this ilness. Salazopyrn(Sulfasalazin x4) and Etol Sr 600( x1). my question is about effects of these drugs on birth control pills.

Has anyone had yeast related complications from Yaz or its generic forms? (i.e. Loryna) I've been suffering from persistent yeast that correlated with my switching to Loryna and I wonder if the two could be related.

fast forward to last year when I had to have the IUD taken out because it completely messed me up (it was sliding out, and it moved so much that it constanty poked on my uterus causing severe pain/paralyzing me during my menses) so i was put on YAZ early last year and the NIGHTMARE continued, I have gone from 118Lbs to 153Lbs!!! in a 1 and 1/2yrs and the cellulite/stretch marks is also out of control!!! Hi cassiee014, First and foremost got off Yaz. The birth control Yaz is dangerous. There are actually some women who have lawsuits against the manufacturers of Yaz. Getting off Yaz may solve your depression. Actually I just read you have a mild history of depression. You also said you haven't taken any medication for your depression. Okay. I would make an appointment with your family doctor . Is your doctor aware of your mild history of depression?

I once took Yaz (Yasmin) for a month and after discovering many small hard and very sensitive lumps in my breasts after one month, I stopped taking it. My doctor had no explaination. 5 years later, and I am trying birth control pills again (for various reasons). This is my first month on Diane-35. which was about 3 months ago I started taking Tri-Sprintec birth-control and I had an AWFUL reaction to it and turns out I was allergic to the high dosage of the acne-clearer in it. Last month I switched to YAZ. But, when I first started with the Tri- Sprintec I noticed these bumps which looked a bit like herpes but I don't know for sure in my mouth near my uvula and they are spreading in the back of my mouth.
