yaz prescribing information

Hello I am 25 years old and I am female. I want to ask something. I have an ilness since I was a child and it is called peripheric spondyloarthropathy and I use some drugs everyday for this ilness. Salazopyrn(Sulfasalazin x4) and Etol Sr 600( x1). my question is about effects of these drugs on birth control pills.

Although I hear about it quite often, and have had it happen as well while on Zovia and now on Yaz, you should mention it to your prescribing doctor just to be on the safe side.

If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.

I'm sorry but I don't know what 'Yaz " is .. need more information and hopefully someone will post that is familiar with it..

I would definatly consult your family physician or your OBGYN about a suitable birth control for you. I took Yaz a few months ago for a short period of time(just a week and a half) and it messed with my emotions and feeling like crazy. I strongly suggest you don't use Yaz. I still don't feel like myself even though I am off the pill. If you like being happy, don't use Yaz, please, its not worth it. I have not heard many good things about Yaz since I have taken it.

One minute I am on top of the world with a ton of energy and the next I want to climb in a hole. I started on Yaz birth control about 4 months ago. I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.

I am on Yaz and have been on it for almost 2 months before I started taking Yaz I was on the Depo shot. On my second pack of Yaz I missed two pills one on Monday and one on Wednesday I took them right when I remembered to but I'm afraid maybe I could get pregnant ..what are the chances??

Hi cassiee014, First and foremost got off Yaz. The birth control Yaz is dangerous. There are actually some women who have lawsuits against the manufacturers of Yaz. Getting off Yaz may solve your depression. Actually I just read you have a mild history of depression. You also said you haven't taken any medication for your depression. Okay. I would make an appointment with your family doctor . Is your doctor aware of your mild history of depression?

I once took Yaz (Yasmin) for a month and after discovering many small hard and very sensitive lumps in my breasts after one month, I stopped taking it. My doctor had no explaination. 5 years later, and I am trying birth control pills again (for various reasons). This is my first month on Diane-35. My breasts are extrememly tender and sensitive, putting on a bra is painful, and there are small hard lumps in my breast. Are these side effects normal? Are they dangerous?

I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

I have been taking YAZ birth control for hte last three months. I have been having late periods following unprotected sex with an isolated partner (my fiancée). Last month, I was supposed to have regulated (says my physician) and I started on the Thursday in my pack. My next pill is on a Saturday. I am very concerned. It's Thursday night at 10:30, and I have taken some pills irregularly this month. I have no signs of a period whatsoever.

I would stop taking Yaz definately! There is lots of bad things going on with Yaz it could be counteracting with the Prozac also..im surprised the Dr has not took you off! Just looking for anymore information or advise about withdraws from Fioricet / I have been taking this medication from years from Migrain headaches, it's seemed the longer I was on it the less it helped so I would increase my doses because I could not get rid of my headaches the other day I just stopped using it because it was like just this non stop headache.

and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! Help please, this is starting to make me feel miserable.
