I have been on Yaz for almost two months now. I haven't missed any pills but I did have stomach flu within the first three days of starting my first pack. I didn't see the pill in my vomit and continued to take them in the mornings like I usually do. The time I take my pill is within fifteen minutes on weekdays and about 2-3 hours later on weekends. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex 4 times about halfway through my 2nd pack of Yaz. He did not finish inside of me.

I really like the overall effects of Yaz and don't want to change but know I will need to do something in light of increased migraines and anxiety. I'm wondereing if I should go back to active and inactive pills or try some type of progesterine during the end of pack and start of new.
About 4 months ago, I switched from Alesse to Yaz. At the beginning of my most recent pack, I accidentally began using an old Alesse pack that I had forgot to throw out instead of Yaz. I discovered this 4 days in to the pack, and immediately switched back to Yaz as per my doctor's orders. My partner and I have been using the withdrawal method this month just to be sure, but I am worried that some ejaculate may have still come in contact with the outer parts of my genital area.
Why is it that taking oral antibiotics (leviquin, biaxin and now Z pack) seem to give me spells of palpitations--rapid/pounding heart beat? This is listed as a side effect, but I'd like to know if there's a chemical explanation. I am a 49 year-old female runner w/ normal resting hr of about 50-55. I have a history of PAC's and PVC's but nothing serious.
I see a lot of people asking about z pack curing chlamydia/gonorrhea and the common response is “It has to be 1g at once to work.” I’m confused by this. 1 g is 1,500mg. The typical z pack is 1,500mg total over the course of 5 days. 500mg on day one and then 250mg the next four days. So my question is, why would it HAVE to be 1,000mg of z pack at once to work rather than also 1,500 over 5 days?
I took Yaz years ago when it was called Yazmin and I can't remember what it looked like exactly. Are the inactive pills the first or last 7 pills in the packet? They are a different color. The 7 pills of different color are just sugar pills. Either way it is incredibly unlikely that you are pregnant missing one pill at the beginning of the cycle based on when a woman's fertile time is (middle of cycle), however if it was the sugar pill it is completely impossible.
I stopped the Depo shot 2 months ago, and immediately started Yaz, I got my period back at the end of my first pack of Yaz so about 1 1/2 months. How long does it take for Depo to completely leave your system, and if it's still in my system will it actually help protect me from pregnancy along with Yaz?
I have been on Yaz for almost a year now.. and last month I finished my entire pack including the white pills without any "withdrawal period." I start each pack on a Sunday, and on my second pill on the new pack (Monday) I got some spotting like how it is when you are about to start your period. However, it ended there. My full "period" never came. Yesterday, i finished that pack and still my period hasn't come.
Removed it 3 days ago and was put on Yaz. Doctor ordered I start same day with Yaz in the silver section, however, there isnt a Tuesday silver section pill. She said I must start on Wednesday. My consern is... will I now forever be a day ahead when drinking the pill? Im confussed like hell with how I need to continue with my second month of Yaz supply? Ive read up about it but I cant seem to make sense of it...
Hey all! I'm still alive, through the grace of God! I am on week three of Yaz and things have gotten better! I have back pain and some fatigue, but overall, I'm well! I know how to calm my anxiousness and I feel like my old self again! To God be the glory for the things He has done!
I am usually on Yaz birth control pills. On 7th and 8th of May I forgot to take Yaz and decided to stop the pack. On 10th May had unprotected intercourse and on 11th took norlevo. After that day I started spotting brown and on 15 May it was red and heavy like my period normally is. It lasted 3 days. I was expecting my period on 28 May but nothing. Have done two pregnancy tests both negative.

Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.
About a week after the event, I camed down with an upper respiratory infection and was prescribed a Z Pak. I was to take the first 2 pill the first night, a total of 500 mg and 250 mg for the following four days. My question is... do you think that is effective against eliminating Gonnorhea if I were to have it? And what other STD's could this take care of?
I have had mycoplasma pneumonia for almost 3 months now- complete with a rash that comes and goes, insane chest pain, body aches.. They finally diagnosed me two weeks ago and I took a Z pack and felt decent finally but only for a few days, Im getting worse once again and I'm SO over this. What ended up working for you??
Hi! I am on YAZ birth control, but haven't had sex for 7 weeks since me and my ex broke up. So I missed three days in a row of my pill on the third week, and I read you are supposed to restart a whole new pack if you miss that many on that week. But between that time I got my period, so I started taking a new pack like the instructions said. The weird thing is, is that I'm still on my period and today is day 9. My periods are usually short, probably 4 days.
I've been on both Yazmin and Yaz (a different version of yazmin). Both have done me no favors. Instead of reducing the days I'm on my period it increased it by 3 days, with horrible cramping. Yaz was the strangest for me though. My hormones were very much out of wack, and had absolutely no sex drive whatsoever! I would not recommend it. I have had several friends (4) try Yaz as well and had many problems. Hopefully you have called a doctor about your rash though.
At the point of seeing a stranger in my reflection with no one left to tell i just stopped caring about even taking yaz and soon after i fell like i was slowly waking up. Please iam 22 years old i let yaz control 2 years of my precious youth dealing with over barring spilling emotions from hell STOP taking the legal pink pills that rapes you of your soul!!!! i would rather have 5 kids in 5 years then have to resort to that ****** up point of devastation ever ever again!!!
WIhat a big pain when you have to get up and do your teaching job. The thing with the lungs is they take a while to recover if irritated like they were when you had bronchitis, you can have productive cough left over for up to two months! So annoying. You can go ahead and take the Z pack but am not really sure why they gave that to you unless they are worried about mycoplasma which is what causes walking pneumonia. I'd continue the Claritin and go ahead with the z pack.
