yaz and nuva ring

you may try the Nuva Ring. You just insert it into your vagina and leave it for 3 weeks then take it out and leave it out a week to have your period. THen put a new one in. This way it's not a permanent as and doesn't have the risks of an IUD. You also don't have to remember to take it every day like the pill. AND it's not a shot. You should always consult your OBGYN about a birth control change, but you can totally ask your doctor about trying a different BC method. Good luck!

I'Ve been on 125mcg of synthroid and the Nuva ring for 10 years. My levels have been solid, hanging around 1. Only in past 8 months have my levels been hanging around 10. My doctor thinks it;s because of my Nuva ring. Why would this be the case after 10 years? Thoughts?

thank you for your feedback. I dont think I can remember a pill everyday and that is why I thought I'd try to the nuva ring because I heard some good things and bad things from it. I guess everyone is different. Did you ever have it fall out? That's my biggest fear right now. And did you wear tampon with it if needed? Look it up. YAZ is the worst birth control out there and has done a lot of damage. I switched to the NUVA RIng. No weight gain, no chemicals, stays in for one month. I take mine out during intercourse, but it's still affective for three hours. Once were ready to have kids just take it out and keep it out and within a month or two (a friend of mind was pregnant in 3 months after taking hers out) we should be pregnant.

Planned Parenthood told me that mirena is progesterone only and that is why it takes your cycles away and I think Nuva Ring has progesterone in it as well.

I feel hopeless so she mentioned that studies have shown the pill and also anxiety and depression meds can help the hormonal changes and regulate my moods and newly changing menstural cycle. I was so looking forward to turning 40 up until 5 months ago when my mood just shifted.

A year a ago I was on a pill and I thought that my anxiety and weight was an issue so I changed to the Yaz combined pill. My anxiety and weight haven't changed. I have never had trouble with weight until this past 2 years and although I am watching what I eat and exercise 3 times a week nothings is working. I also get extremely lethargic the week before my period and this has been since my last child 10 years ago. Is there any pill out there that will help?

I have tried the pill, nuva ring, depo shot, and implanon. My favorite would definitely have to be nuva ring. You put it in for 3 weeks then take it out for 1 week. Hands down the simplest with no side effects.

m 26 previous body builder, and I went on the Nuva ring and have since gained 80 pounds it was insane and threw me into such a state of depression which just isn't and wasn't me...I"m a conquor the world kinda gal....I was doing a research project on a drug for My organic chem class and stumbled accross all this info on Nuva ring and It just blew me away...I' m going to stop it here this week.

I also have had a past of severe migrains and some have been highly affected by yaz and nuva rings.. so i was thinking a copper IUD would be the answer. I dont agree with not having my period, I want to keep things as regular as possible. I do plan to have kids later in life.. and im not worried about the heavy periods or cramps. does anyone have and advice.. recommendations or concerns that I should know about before I go for it?

i used to have nuva ring, and i had noticed i started having UTI symptoms, it burned when i peed, my abdomen hurt really bad. the doctors kept giving me antibiotics telling me that it was a UTI and that it wouldnt last. After having a "UTI" once a month for a year. I went to see my gynecologist and she advised me to remove Nuva ring. I did so and since then i feel really good. ive been off it for a little over 3 months and i will never go back to it.

I have recently started using the nuva ring and I have begun to notice an odor when I urinate or even just remove my underwear. I have just begun seeing my boyfriend, that is why I began nuva. we have not slept together since I first put it in and I am very embarrassed about this smell. he is my first boyfriend and the first guy I slept with, but I can not go on the pill as I pick up a lot of weight and was very depressed on it. is there anything I can do to remove the smell?

Hello, I am hoping that someone has had some experience with ovarian cysts and the use of birth control (nuva ring) to prevent ovulation. My doctor started me on the nuva ring in hopes that it would help with the pain from bilateral ovarian simple cysts that measure 5cm and 4.2 cm. If anyone has experience with this type of treatment please respond to the following questions. Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts?

I was on the Yaz pills last month and stopped in the middle of the pack, but before I started the pills I had the Nuva Ring. I switched b/c it gave me a yeast infection 2 months in a row. between the ring and the pill my bf and I had sex more then once for 2 days. We didn't use protection and a few days later I started the pills. I started feeling nauseous and tired all the time so I assumed it was the pills and just stopped taking them. I started bleeding about 7 days later.

Well I was on it for about 6 months and it took me over 30 months to conceive (but it had nothing to do with the nuva ring). Nuva Ring is like any other birth control and it really depends on the woman and how long the hormones stay in your body... As long as you are having a period it more than likely means that you are still ovulating and are able to get pregnant. Good luck trying to conceive!

Has anyone used the Nuva Ring with satisfaction? I just started school and figured now is NOT the time to be having a little one. Anyone? If so let me know your likes and dislikes and the pros and cons, such as the mood swings, cravings, weight gain…anything. I know that everyone is different but I need to see different perspectives of this.

i am on nuva ring. I took out nuva ring in june and never got a period so iut another nuva ring in till i got a period. Its now july 19th and still not a period in sight. Should i test?

Hi, Im not sure if this will help you but i was on the nuva ring for 4 years and i never experiance what you are experiancing but i did completely miss my period once and when i spoke to my doctor i was told the nuva ring is known to screw with your periods wheather it is getting 2 in one month or not getting one at all. if it keeps happening i would get it check out but if it is a one time thing i wouldnt worry about it.

I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. I put my nuva ring in a day late: I was supposed to start Wednesday morning and I started Thursday afternoon. I had unprotected sex Wednesday night. I took Plan B Thursday afternoon. How long do I need to use condoms before I can be sure I'm not getting pregnant?

symptoms, I just figured it was all due to the ring. So i put my new ring in on monday, it fell out a few times this month, and yes it was out for more than 3 hours one time. I took it out today because its time for my period, but i think i might actually be pregnant. I have symptoms that are closer to the pregnancy symptoms than the nuva ring symptoms.... On Sunday, November 19 i began using the nuva ring as a birth control contraseptive. I was using an oral birth control but caused me to experience a very painful ovarian cyst burst. There is always a chance. I use the Nuva ring as well and righ now I think I'm pregnant . It's not impossible, the Nuva ring is 100% affective.

I was having some preg symptoms, on and off. I took my nuva ring out on july 4, and started what i think is my af last night. It is really light, and all brown blood, but i am still having a couple of symptoms that are very similar to pms. my qustions is... if i was pregnant, would i still see blood because of the nuva ring? I am so confused and my doctor seems too busy to call, and veryone always has great advice. any insight would be wonderful!!
