yasmin vs nuva ring

I switched over to the Nuva Ring. I feel so much better. I was experiencing terrible mood swings. I would cry and feel depressed all of the time. I am currently on Lipitor for a high LDL count. My Triglycerides and HDL count are very good. I take Lipitor for my high cholesterol. Is the Nuva Ring okay to use while on Lipitor? Is the Nuva Ring not recommended for people with High cholesterol? My Lipitor is 10 mg. Thank you!

Though its not every week like when I was on yasmin, nuva ring still makes me get sick every month and a half-ish. Im real close to going back to the crossed fingers over the crossed legs method. Worked for 5 months before!

I had no luck with the copper iud for 4 years hormone free but the bleeding never go less and the duration never did either. The nuva ring made me depressed tried that for 4 mnths after the iud. I am 39 and my hormones are changing greatly my which they say can happen at this age. my normal periods all my life are changing to every 21 day last period came 109 days later. My GYNsuggeseted the pill. Even though I am against hormones. But my syptoms were so bad I am desperate.

Hi, I just started using nuva ring and a couple days after i got a yeast infection. Can nuva ring cause that or could it be that i was on augmenton for 3 days?

My endo gave me a rx to fill of Glumetza to help with the PCOS. My gyn tried to put me on the Nuva ring to help with symtoms of PMS; my hands swelled up so big that it scared me----called him and he took me off of it Friday. I'Ve been on 125mcg of synthroid and the Nuva ring for 10 years. My levels have been solid, hanging around 1. Only in past 8 months have my levels been hanging around 10. My doctor thinks it;s because of my Nuva ring. Why would this be the case after 10 years? Thoughts?

I've been on the Nuva Ring for almost two and a half years. My whole family is very fair-skinned, so I've always had very visible veins my whole life. However, it wasn't until I began the Ring that I noticed my first varicose veins on my right calf. I didn't see the connection at the time, but now it's two years later and the same leg is in so much pain almost regularly, and I'm almost positive it is because of the Ring.

Hi, Im not sure if this will help you but i was on the nuva ring for 4 years and i never experiance what you are experiancing but i did completely miss my period once and when i spoke to my doctor i was told the nuva ring is known to screw with your periods wheather it is getting 2 in one month or not getting one at all. if it keeps happening i would get it check out but if it is a one time thing i wouldnt worry about it.

I started using Nuva Ring about 2 months ago. I put it in, the first month, toward the last few days of my period, maybe the 6th day.... I think... My boyfriend and i did have sex within the first 7 days without a back up method but i didnt think much about it then. The first month, everything was fine NO side effects. On Sunday, November 19 i began using the nuva ring as a birth control contraseptive. I was using an oral birth control but caused me to experience a very painful ovarian cyst burst. Well it is possible that you are pregnant but it is also possible that you messed your cycle up with the ring... Nuva Ring is a very low dose of hormones so 3 days probably wouldn't mess your cycle up too badly. I would say definitely take another test if you haven't taken one in the past few days. Good luck!

Hello, I am hoping that someone has had some experience with ovarian cysts and the use of birth control (nuva ring) to prevent ovulation. My doctor started me on the nuva ring in hopes that it would help with the pain from bilateral ovarian simple cysts that measure 5cm and 4.2 cm. If anyone has experience with this type of treatment please respond to the following questions. Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts?

for the last 9 moths (since Marley Anne was born) I was but on non hormal bc. The nuva ring. I had used it before with no problems. today is the CD28 for me and I usually start spotting around cd 24 or 25. I have taken a few pregnancy tests in the last few day (which have all been negative) and I would be almost 13 weeks since my hubby has been in Tampa. I think I am freaking myself out.

And my paps are also abnormal. I am on nuva ring. My problem may be that I accidentally left my nuva ring in during the week I was suppose to take it out. There is the birth control pill, nuva ring, depo shot, implanon, etc. In my opinion with personal experience the nuva ring was the best. The shot made me gain a lot of weight as well as implanon, the pill i was way to forgetful for. And nuva ring i put in for 3 weeks and took out for 1 week. Best wishes!
